December 7, 20196 yr Hi, I just installed my new UPS, APC Back-UPS 1400VA (BX1400UI), and was suprised how low the power consumption of my system is. Does this seem resonable for the system in my signature, the system is more or less idle, just a few seeding torrents reading from the array, but all disks are spun up? December 7, 20196 yr Community Expert Yep, install it on whatever clients you have that you want to shut down when on UPS power
December 7, 20196 yr Forget the figure feedback by UPS, most because it is back-series, you won't got 83min runtime. Figure have meaning only when UPS on battery mode. Edited December 7, 20196 yr by Benson
December 8, 20196 yr Community Expert Im pretty sure the OP was referring to the power draw not run time

January 21, 20206 yr Author Now the UPS is powering another server, and a backup NAS, and the load has gone up a bit. I haven't noticed earlier, but now I see that there is no output voltage showing, shouldn't there be? This is what it looks like now:

Perhaps apcupsd hasn't been updated for that model. It's an open source project, not endorsed or supported by APC. http://www.apcupsd.org/ If it bothers you enough to play around, you could try installing NUT from the Apps tab and see if you get better reporting. https://networkupstools.org/
