January 31, 20206 yr Hi, I'm trying to get a container from DockerHub running, specifically abiosoft/caddy, but am having an issue mapping a file rather than directory. The template specifies that the Caddyfile should be mapped in like: -v path/to/Caddyfile:/etc/Caddyfile ...but when doing so with the Unraid GUI, my config within that file does not seem to be loaded. The base template includes its own Caddyfile that is loaded instead. I've spent a few nights troubleshooting but can't get this working. Any ideas? (I hope this the appropriate area to post this, as it's not a template in CA)
January 31, 20206 yr There is a caddy within apps which you could probably use as a basis for figuring out the template to enter in.
February 1, 20206 yr Author I've looked at this and I don't see anything that would help with this issue. The only issue I'm having is getting the Caddyfile to map in properly; directory maps are not an issue but the singular file is.
March 7, 20206 yr Having the same problem. I'm currently using the Caddy in CA but it hasn't been updated in a couple of years. I really want to get the one from Abiosoft working.
March 7, 20206 yr Author @Crooze I've resorted to building my own container with some additional security enhancements such as fail2ban and running as a non root user. It's currently private but if there's interest I could clean it up and make public.

May 5, 20206 yr +1, I would love to have a Caddy Docker for UnRaid! Thanks for considering doing that!

May 6, 20206 yr Author I'll work on getting it into the CA repo soon. Probably by next week.A few things though: I didn't end up implementing fail2ban yet, but still plan to. Caddy 2 is now in GA so I'll be working that out too; in a separate build.
July 21, 20205 yr Any update? The template can be just based on the oficial docker repo https://hub.docker.com/_/caddy/
August 3, 20205 yr +1 to this request. pure curiosity. Tried myself didn't manage yet. Anyone successful, yet?
August 26, 20205 yr @Squid you mentioned a Caddy container with a proper template ready to go in Apps, but I can't see it. Mucking about with the official Docker Hub image now, any better options?
June 5, 20233 yr Is there any fix yet? Or maybe an alternative for a simple web file server? Currently using Swag to host a static site, but that's less then elegant and Caddy seems a nice service worth learning.
