nahtnam
Hello, I am using Unraid on an old laptop just to host some files and use it as a plex server. It has 16gb of ram, i7, and a 256gb ssd (all I really need). It is connected via ethernet and has unraid setup with the ssd as disk 1 (don't need backups or parity as of right now). Normally I should be getting at least 5-600 mbps over wifi right? Since it is an SSD and connected over LAN (the client is on wifi), the data should be as fast as the wifi is for the router. Currently I am getting 2MB/s (around 16mbps) which seems quite slow for transferring files over LAN. Am I doing something seriously wrong (other than running UNRAID on a laptop) Thanks! JonathanM
Try connecting the client wired instead of wireless and see where it benchmarks. Quote Link to comment
JorgeB
Wireless is usually much slower than expected, you can check the actual available bandwidth by running an iperf test. Quote Link to comment
