Sleep awake problem

Featured Replies

I'm on latest version of unraid

Mobo is: ASUS M4A78LT-M - Moederbord - micro ATX - AMD 760G -
I do have an expansion card AOC-SASLP

My mobo supports sleep: i use the S3 sleep plugin, machine goes to sleep but i cant awake it

In the old days before the expansion card, i had no problem to do this.

Is the expansion card the problem?

Very likely, probably in more ways than just sleep.

Search for unraid marvell , there are many reports of issues.

That said, I don't know for sure if the recommended LSI controllers are any better for sleep, server grade hardware just isn't designed with sleep in mind.

Truly nothing to do about it?

I am using sleep with my SAS 9207-8i and its working.

The only thing i had to do was this:

Under Settings, Sleep Settings, Custom commands after wake-up, implement this:

sleep 120;
hdparm -y $(ls /dev/sd*|grep "[a-z]$") >/dev/null 2>&1

2nd Point: If you push the Sleep-Button or the time for sleep is reached, the server takes aprox. 60-120sec to really go to sleep - so be patient.
