_0m0t3ur
I'm changing out my unRAID server for more modern gear, and found out about Provantage from other users' posts here in the forum. Looks like a solid seller. What caught me by surprise a little bit is their "100% Satisfaction Guaranteed on all in stock products!" They say that if a customer is not satisfied with a product for any reason, they'll refund the purchase price within 30 days. RMA is required. Curious whether anyone has needed to use this satisfaction guarantee and whether it worked out? Quote Link to comment

Curious whether anyone has needed to use this satisfaction guarantee and whether it worked out? I have purchased several items from them over the years. I have never had a reason to test the satisfaction guarantee so I cannot comment on that; however, they are a very large and reputable vendor with some very good prices from time to time. They are not always the cheapest supplier for certain parts, but, they very frequently have parts other vendors do not have in stock. I don't think you would have a problem relying on the guarantee if for some reason you were not satisfied. 1 Quote Link to comment
_0m0t3ur
Yeah, I figured as much, especially with various posts I've read in this forum. It just surprised me a little that the guarantee seems so simple: buy it and don't like it, then contact us for an RMA to ship back within 10 days of the issue of the RMA. It really makes "on the fence" purchase decisions a little easier. Being that I'm changing my current server hardware, I've naturally started reading more unRAID forum posts about other doing similarly. I've read a lot of posts "will this x cpu do y?" Or other questions about motherboards, ram, etc. With a guarantee like this a person on the fence about a 4C8T vs 6C/12T cpu, could buy one. If it worked out, then great. Otherwise, they could send it back and buy the more appropriate hardware. Edited March 6 by _0m0t3ur Quote Link to comment
JonathanM
Keep in mind you are on the hook for shipping back to them on an RMA. And you probably would want a trackable carrier, so figure minimum $15 USD. Quote Link to comment
