Shucked Drives Showing FS Corruption

So as the title states, it appears that all of my shucked drives are showing file system corruption. I've ran the xfs_repair in test mode and every single shucked drive is showing errors with primary and secondary superblocks. Is this because I didn't tape the drives before installing?

 

I'm using the Norco 4224 with the built in backplanes.

    No.  The problem that can be fixed by taping pin 3 is to do with the voltage on that pin forcing the drive into a reset condition which results in the drive becoming 'invisible'.
