SSD wrong sata version

Featured Replies

I'm using a 24 bay 4U chassis, where everything plugs into  3x LSI 9211-8i.  Every single hard drive and SSD I have plugged into the backplane, all shows up as SATA 3.x 6.0Gb/s (Current: 6.0Gb/s), except for one.  My cache drive.

It's a Crucial MX300 1050GB SSD.

In unraid it shows SATA Version is:  SATA 3.2, 6.0 Gb/s (current: 3.0 Gb/s).    Ive tried different cables, and different spots in the case.  But no matter what, it's currect id 3.0Gb/s.

Is there a way to set it to 6.0Gb/s?

Try it on a different controller if possible, like the onboard SATA ports.
