elchorizo
Every morning when I wake up I get a notification that the cache drive is nearly full, however typical usage is less than 30% -- I'm assuming it does some kind of maintenance at night and stores extra files. Not sure what it could be? Quote Link to comment
ChatNoir
Might be the mover, but the way you describe it seem strange and/or not behaving as you intended. How is your Cache setup on your Shares ? Cache : Yes to move the files from the Cache to the Array Cache : Prefer to move the files from the Array to the Cache Quote Link to comment
ChatNoir
You should share your diagnostics in your next post (Tools => Diagnostics) so we can see exactly how it is set up. Quote Link to comment
elchorizo
I see, almost every setting was set to "prefer" -- so I adjusted those to no and only left the saved VM instances as "prefer" Quote Link to comment
ChatNoir
If set to No, the Mover will not touch the files of this share. Be sure that the files are where you want them (Cache or Array). If your goal is for the files to go directly to the Array but still have file on the Cache, then set to Yes, use the Mover to clean up you cache and then set the share back to No. Any new file will go directly to the Array. If unsure, describe what you want happening ( can have several use case ) and we can give advices for each situation. Edited September 28, 2020 by ChatNoir Quote Link to comment
