jenga201
I used the guide on the wiki to replace a cache drive; https://wiki.unraid.net/Replace_A_Cache_Drive Old cache drive 1.5TB intel New cache drive 1TB samsung Step 5 to 8 says to finish mover, unassign the cache drive, stop array, assign the new cache drive. Simple enough.. But, after starting the array in step 10, the 'new' cache drive was mounted with the 'old' partition info. To clarify that, the web UI showed the 1TB samsung drive with a 1.5TB partition. Running df showed the 1.5TB drive & partition mounted. This old cache drive was working properly, even though the new drive was not mounted. Without changing the drive config, I shut down the system and physically uninstalled the 1.5TB intel. After starting up the system, the 1TB samsung had the correct option to Format the new drive. Is unraid mounting partitions called 'cache' regardless of if they are on the correct device? Or, is there a step missing in the wiki? Quote Link to comment
