  • Cannot Start Windows 10 VM

    VM worked fine and was running prior to 6.8 reboot.  When trying to start it in 6.8 I get the attached error.

    Execution error

    internal error: qemu unexpectedly closed the monitor: 2019-12-13T02:25:07.165757Z qemu-system-x86_64: -device pcie-root-port,port=0x8,chassis=1,id=pci.1,bus=pcie.0,multifunction=on,addr=0x1: can't apply global pcie-root-port.speed=8: Property '.speed' not found

    Here is my Windows 10 VM config. I did set up the VM to have pcie hardware and it looks like that may be why.  Any idea how to resolve?

    Probably not the answer you're looking for, but have you tried removing those lines at the end which you've added?

    cancel this... found my issue documented here

    Fix is to change the lines: speed and width become x-speed and x-width

      <qemu:commandline>
        <qemu:arg value='-global'/>
        <qemu:arg value='pcie-root-port.x-speed=8'/>
        <qemu:arg value='-global'/>
        <qemu:arg value='pcie-root-port.x-width=16'/>
      </qemu:commandline>
