Is it possible to run commands or have a console prompt via web interface?

I'm wondering if it's at all possible to have a command prompt from the web interface - and if not, does anyone know how to remotely connect to a server other than a KVM option.  My unraid server is headless so it's a pain to drag a monitor and keyboard to it to get a command prompt (to do things such as  change permissions).  W/my 2K3 Server I just use remote desktop, I'm pretty poor w/linux so I'm not sure if there's an easy way to do a remote connection or if there's a plugin out there that will give me a virtual console.

If you are on Vista or Windows 7, you can install telnet easily.

Start Menu,

Control Panel,

Program and Features,

Turn Windows features on or off,

Telnet Client (ensure it's checked/selected),

Click OK

You now have telnet client installed.

Is there a way to do this on a Mac?  Can you use Terminal to log into the Tower?

Yes, just go to terminal and type:

telnet the.ip.address.here

it should work just fine.  There are also some instructions on how to make it work so that you can type telnet nameofserver
