It looks like my SAS card overheated and burned up. I had another one but it needed re-configured as non of the drives were showing. I spent ALOT of time trying to figure this out so I thought I would post my fix here. This is specifically for the SAS 9206-16e Dual SAS 2308 HBA but can be modified with whatever, flashing utility, firmware, and bios for your Broadcom card. I recently removed some smaller drives from my server, after moving all files from them, slowly replacing them with larger drives. I now am having big problems. Disk 1 is new and has no data on it, Disk 2 and 5 are not currently populated as I am going to put the larger drives in those locations. I hope all my data on those drives are not lost, how do I get Unraid to recoginze the other drives without formatting so I preserve the data? Problems on 12/13 Plex did not have any of my media I tried to restart the container, it would not start with just a "server execution error" I then stopped the array, tried to restart it, it would not start with a "unraid Buffer I/O error on dev" for each drive. Yes, the devices connected to SATA ports show in the BIOS but not in unraid

I was on vacation last week and the power must have went out so my server shut itself down. I started it back up when I got home but one of the drives was missing (drive 3), I then stopped the array and now drive 1, 2, 4, 6 and 7 are missing. Also, now it just says, "no device" for drive 3 and does not list the missing device. I restarted the server but it would not get passed the boot screen, I had to clear the CMOS to get it to boot so I probably have something configured wrong now but that does not explain my problem before I reset the BIOS. The drives that are connected to the SATA ports are visible in the BIOS, but not UNRAID. Any help on getting these drives back would be very much appreciated. Unconfirmed 210012.crdownload

I am getting "Execution error Server error" when trying to start Plex. I have tried to recreate the docker folder and even restore appdata to no avail. I tried messing with some settings but I keep getting "command failed" and this error I also rolled back the nvidia driver as well. What could the problem be?

Question 1: So the other day I reset the BIOS on my MoBo on accident, I thought I set everything as I did before but now all the drives connected to the Marvell 9230 controller are having errors 2 have read errors and 1 drive has been disabled. When I removed the disabled drive and attempt to rebuild, it gets to 50-75% and then fails again. All smart tests have passed, VT-D is disabled, iommu=pt, has been added to SYSLINUX Config. Is there a setting in the BIOS that I forgot to enable or disable? Question 2: The Marvell controller would be a moot point if my SAS card was detected, I have a drive connected to it but it does not show anywhere. Nevermind, Unassigned devices was not installed for some reason. Something else wierd though, the mover will not run.

I updated to 6.11.5 CA is back but I cannot mount any of the unassigned devices, which is a problem as that is where my appdata for my dockers is housed.

If I could get community applications back I think that would allow me to reinstall unassigned devices

About a week ago my server completely locked up, I could not reach it via web, ssh or direct. It would not shut down with the power button or via the UPS running out of power so it eventually just lost power. When I restarted it, community applications said there was an update so I decided to update it, then the community applications tab disappeared. It was running a parity check and I have been EXTREMELY fed up with my server so I just said fuck it. Today nothing was working again so I cut power again, this time, community applications is still gone, even after trying to reinstall it, and unassigned devices is also gone. The biggest problem is all of my dockers are on an unassigned device, so there is no way for me to get it back. Any help would be much appreciated. big-savy-diagnostics-20230108-1103.zip

So the issue was a plugin, I uninstalled all my plugins and then was able to successfully update to 6.9.2. I am in the process of reinstalling the plugins but it is going so SLOW that it may take till next week. I don't know why its going so slow or what Plugin caused my problems. When I start the array everything stops, there is no display out, and the Web GUI freezes. I have tried multiple versions of 6.9 and have the same problem in all of them. big-savy-diagnostics-20220126-1543.zip

My container will not start up if I have the VPN enabled, the problem started a week ago. I am using nordVPN nothing has changed in the past 6 months but all of a sudden it isn't working. What can I do to get this working again? supervisord.log

So that controller is built into my motherboard, is there any settings I can tweak either in the BIOS or Unraid to make it work temporarily, my MB is an ASUS Z87WS. I bought a DELL LSI 9206-16e SAS controller for future drive expansion but I think I need to do some configuration on that, of which I am clueless on, before I can use it. When I tried to upgrade to version 6.9 I was not able to and had to go back to 6.8.3 and now in the docker tab, under "version" every one of them say "not available". Could these problems also be linked to this controller?

I have been having a problem with disk 3 in my array. It continuously "errors out" despite being new, having a perfect SMART report, and not having any errors on pre-clear. I have done this with the same results while also trying multiple drives, power cords, sata ports, and sata cables. When this happens it also tells me that disk 2 and disc 4 also have errors but after I restart the server the only disc that still has errors in disk 3. big-savy-diagnostics-20210715-2141.zip
