My downloads have been working fine using the PIA port forwarding endpoints @xxDeadbolt listed above.
Just a question to those stating they are having issues with certain endpoints on PIA, are you using a file that has high availability? I know I have SEVERAL files waiting for someone with 100% availability. I just want to make sure people aren't mistaking VPN issues with file availability issues. Just a thought.
EDIT: I have seen slow transfer numbers as well, but not on a file that has a high number of availability.
Yeah, I've used an Ubuntu torrent to test, no issues with availability. Speeds greatly differ between this container, my main rig with VPN both on and off (going from ~12mbps w/ VPN enabled on my main rig, to ~500kbps in DelugeVPN, using same server location).
Haven't tested with AirVPN as yet, but some private trackers don't show me seeding with PIA when it's been active in Deluge for days. Strange.

I think some still work, @rikdegraaff I was using CA Vancouver earlier today without a major issue, other than it being slow.

Is there a list which endpoint do work and which don't work??
The weirdest is that Deluge says it is seeding all my torrents but not the trackers. (That is due to above reason?)
The below image *was* the list of servers that supported port forwarding, but I don't know if it's still the case. It's one of the reasons I'm trying out AirVPN - I was having a similar issue in that the trackers weren't showing I had seeded some torrents, but they'd been in Deluge for days. I assume this is due to the VPN endpoint.

No need to choose any proxy settings in the config generator. Have you set the port you forwarded in the deluge settings under network?
Yeah, I had been doing that. I've now generated a different port & used a Frankfurt server & somehow it's passed the tcp check.
The IP I've been given now shows the proper server location on whatismyipaddress.com. Is there a way I can do a speed test in the console? Difficult to compare... I'm getting 13-15Mbps download without the VPN on my main rig, 11-12Mbps with the VPN on & about 500Kbps in DelugeVPN, all with the same torrent (Ubuntu iso, plenty of seeds).

Given all the issues I've been having with PIA, I'm trying out AirVPN... However, I'm having some issues getting it set up 😕
My problem is with the OpenVPN generator, I'm not sure if I'm choosing the correct options. In the 'Protocols' part, I'm choosing OpenVPN UDP 443; I assume this part is correct, but do I need to choose any proxy settings? I haven't at the moment, & chosen the server location as just 'Netherlands'. I've also set up a port for forwarding, but it doesn't pass the tcp test (the light is always red).
DelugeVPN is connecting, giving me an IP address which shows as Netherlands in AirVPN client area, but not on whatismyipaddress.com (shows UK, but not my actual location). Am I doing something wrong, or choosing the wrong options on the generator?

I've just had my connection flake out on me again, not the same error as I mentioned before but just wasn't connecting but also wasn't timing out. Strange.
I've downloaded the PIA OpenVPN zip file again, used the same end point as before (Sweden) & it's connected. Either it was a coincidence on my end or lucky timing or something like that for me replacing the end point, but seems to have done the trick. Maybe something has changed in those files, although I'm not sure what could/would have changed? (I'm not knowledgeable on what exactly is contained in these files, so apologies if that's a bit of a nub suggestion).
Strange thing is, when I check the IP address of the new end point on https://whatismyipaddress.com/, it's not Sweden it shows as, it's China 😕

Yep, switched to Sweden from Frankfurt & it's working fine now. Will keep that in mind about the endpoints if anything similar happens again in future. Cheers!

I'm also getting the "[warn] Exit code '56' from curl != 0 or no response body received" error.
Woke up this morning to some errors in Sonarr about indexers (i run Jackett through this container) & clients being unavailable due to failures. Been tearing my hair out as I can't figure it out, so in a sense I'm glad it's not just me 🤣

The older I get the flakier my memory is but I think @binhex added this feature a few months ago. There should be a post about it in the thread somewhere if you want to use google to search it.
From what I could fine, it picks up the first ovpn file in the folder alphabetically. Not an issue at all, was just wondering if there was any point in keeping all the port forward enabled end points in there or not
-
While I'm here, can you have more than one endpoint, .ovpn file in the appdata/binhex-delugevpn/openvpn folder?

i'm at my wits end here - i had delugevpn up and happily running with no issues - then i rebooted my unraid server to do some basic maintenance and when i tried to bring it back up delugevpn ceased to work - i've reached out to PIA to see if their endpoints are having issues - they said that there were but that everything had been resolved. I'm also using SABNZBvpn from binhex and its still working just fine. I attached a log dump - i've used different config files and and i've rebuilt the docker all with no luck. any suggestions would be appreciated.
Try a non-Canadian endpoint

I just got things running with Spain. Haven't retried Frankfurt (which was my default) again, but not wanting to change anything for a while in case it flakes out 😆

I was in a similar position a month or so ago when I was looking at a k model vs a non-k for my build, with price being £10 more for the k model, I think it was.
The info I was given on here was that it's purely a performance based decision, so you need to weigh up the cost of each (think there's a ~$20 difference in the 2 you've mentioned), and if the nominal annual power cost (showed $6 difference on your comparison link between them) is a deal breaker.
My personal view is that I'd spend the extra $20 on the k model. I went with the i5-9600k for mine, as I wasn't fussed about the power usage over the year being slightly more than the other chip I had in mind.

That seems simple enough. I don't have many customizations, other than 3 fixed reservations for my gaming rig, unRaid server & another PC, as well as a couple of ports being forwarded, so shouldn't be too difficult to duplicate. Excellent if I can just tell the Asus router to use the 192.168.0.x subnet!
I'll be keeping a note/screenshot of how it's all set up just now, so if I can re-create the above subnet, that should take care of any dockers I have running! I will be changing DNS to PiHole (one of the drawbacks of the superhub 3 is being unable to change this at router level), but that doesn't pose much of a problem with the Asus firmware.Thank you for the info

Soon I'll be changing my router from a Virgin Media Superhub 3 to an ASUS RT-AC86U & I'm wanting to understand the process before jumping in as I'm sure I'll need to configure some things I wouldn't have thought to!
My VM router currently uses 192.168.0.x IP addresses, as far as I'm aware, the ASUS routers use 192.168.1.x. Other than changing the default gateway on the network settings in unRaid & assigning it another reserved IP on the new router, is there anything else I need to do manually? Do the Docker containers update automatically, or will I need to do this myself, too? Thanks in advance

Hi
This is the 2nd time I've noticed this happening when (seemingly) idle, that 1 of my CPU cores goes to 100%. I've installed netdata & it seemed to not be related to a specific Docker (I only have 7, including netdata) & no VMs. Admittedly I'm likely either not seeing something obvious, or I'm reading the data wrong, but the only thing I could tell from netdata is that it was linked to the root user.
I've uploaded the diagnostic file up to when I manually restarted, which returns it to normal.
Any help or pointers would be appreciated.

They are inside the docker image file, it's not particularly easy to get to them, and they will stay there bloating the image size until you delete and recreate it.
If you wish to reclaim the space, take a look in the docker FAQ on this forum and follow the directions to recreate the docker image. It's quick and painless, you won't lose anything except the files that were saved inside the image in error.
Thank you, just recreated the image and restored the user templates for the docker containers I had

Amazing, thank you! I had a feeling it'd have been something simple!🤣
Re-tried a torrent and can now see it. With the ones I've tried before, will they just not have been written anywhere then, or will I have some parts of files from where it was trying to save them?
-
Hi, hoping someone can help... I've set up this container, & when I add a torrent I can't actually find where it is, either while downloading or completed.
I have (I believe) mapped the folders as necessary for my set up, but just cannot see where they're going. This is how a download shows in the WebGUI (the completed folder is the same)But, this is how my shares folder looks:
This is how the container is mapped in the Docker settings page:
I've only been using Unraid for a few days, so apologies if I'm missing something basic.
-
I am in no way an expert, I've only been using unraid a few days, but if you edit the settings of the binhex-deluge container, there's an option at the bottom to add extra parameters/ports etc.
Think you need to do this, name it the name of the container which will be using it and the port it uses.
I'd maybe wait for someone else to confirm before you change anything based on what I've said though lol

Excellent, thanks. I'll keep an eye on the prices & hopefully they don't go up/crazy by the time I start the build.
I think I actually have a Noctua cooler spare, too, from when I moved to a Corsair H55 liquid cooling on my gaming rig using same CPU socket.
If I don't this is a good shout.
-
Another Question - looking at the prices just now, the i5-9400 is at the £190 mark (some of the links on PCPartPicker take you to different CPUs than the ones listed at lower prices). For an extra £10, an i5-9600k could be picked up. Would there be any disadvantages in doing this, other than not bothering with the unlocked multiplier? I know the TDP will be higher than the i5-9400; however, my current CPU is 95W I believe, same as the 9600k. Using Windows 10 at the moment, it'd probably be more efficient when using Unraid regardless.
Not saying this is the way I'm going to go, just wondering.

I've not seen anything as bad as that where I am, but some of the videos/images on social media are crazy. As long as everyone is safe!
That's not too bad, I wouldn't be confident running RC versions of Unraid (an additional variable on top of the chance of me accidentally borking something is something I can do without, heh) until I'm way more experienced with it, but I don't mind waiting on the support if the kernel update is relatively imminent.
[Support] binhex - DelugeVPN
in Docker Containers

OK, so small example - 5 active torrents, this is availability & speed on PIA:
& the same 5 files on AirVPN
Difference, to me, is fairly nominal on availability - but the speed is horrendous, considering I am getting well over 10Mbps on my main rig, through both VPNs on the same torrents.
This would suggest the endpoint issues I, & other people, was having were temporary; however, this opens up a new query for me: why are my DelugeVPN speeds so bad?
