  1. I'm having that exact same issue on Ubuntu with my r580x I didn't look at my CPU usage to notice if it was the same, I had to roll back to 6.9.2 and they fired right up. the last entry in the log always stuck at "char device redirected to /dev/pts/0" , If I had time I'd upgrade and try making a new VM instance but I need this VM for work so I'm kinda stuck on 6.9.2 for a while I guess.
  2. I'm going to add to this because I just got my Sapphire RX580 Nitro working with macinabox and it was a PAIN! So first thing with these cards, the HDMI ports will not work in macOS, you need to use Display Port for the output. Secondly you need to dump the vrom and use that file, without it I still just had a black screen. But here is the thing... Our cards have a multi-bios feature. A physical toggle on the card. If you have NOT flashed these and the card bios is as it was from the factory, one of them is a quite setting and the other is a more aggressive overclock performance tuned. If you got the card out of your old gaming rig or a mining rig most likely that is set in performance mode. Now MACOS only likes the base bios the quite version. So power down, toggle that switch and make sure to re-dump the vrom from this setting. After adding that vrom in the setting the system booted right up (on DP :)) In theory you could then toggle the switch back but use this VROM and you can get the performance tuning in your other VMs but I haven't played with that yet!
  3. Saphire RX580 nitro working for passthrough on all VMs except macinabox, I'm going crazy! Link to reddit because man would these support forums stay cleaner if everyone answered on reddit instead of inline on the same forum post https://www.reddit.com/r/unRAID/comments/phvh8b/macinabox_gpu_passthrough_supported_card/
  4. When unraid does a video card passthrough, does the OS itself do hardware detection on the device or does it use what ever Unraid has determinded it is. Meaning, my card in Unraid and my Ubuntu VM that is using passthrough, both show the card as "R7 370 / R9 270x/370x" Would the Mac OS on boot try to detect the video card hardware directly? or is it going to see it based on this and possibly assume it's an R7 370? because it's the first one listed.. My card is definitely an X version either an R9 270x or R9 280x I can't recall but giving unraid the benefit of the doubt lets assume it's an R9 270x, So with no configuration would macinabox see it as what it is or would it be seeing it as an R7 370 and that's why its not working because MacOS doesn't have an id for the non X version of these cards?
  5. Is there anyway to determine/verify that your videocard isn't supported by the macinabox mac installation. I have VM's working fine with passthrough on an R9 290x , the hackintosh forums say that card is hit & miss. When I setup Macinabox with GPU passthrough nothing happens, but the log doesn't give any errors or anything just no signal gets to my monitor so it's really hard to troubleshoot it. The VM works fine on VNC, so do I just assume at this point I'm out of luck with this card?? or are there any troubleshooting steps?
  6. me 3.... my GPU passthrough works fine on multiple VMs just not the Macinabox it's an R9 280 which is supposed to work on bigsur hackintoshes. maybe this thread would be better served under the macinabox support thread, I'll start a new one there referencing this topic.
  7. @DrLucasMendes do can you share your XML, I had the exact same problem but can't find my conflict for the life of me
  8. Is there a way to backup just the database of paperless, I see you can run a full backup and dump the files and database in a folder, however as we are most setup on unraid parity the one thing I need to be able to do that I can't figure out is to run a backup dump on the database every so often
