I'm trying to set up a local Obsidian Sync for my OAP father, who's got his own UNRAID (as do I but separate servers). He only needs LAN access, no WAN We've come across Obsidian which on first glance appears to satisfy needs. However, the more i try to look at it the deeper the rabbithole appears to get. I found what seems to be a precooked Docker for the CouchDB and plugin (https://github.com/oleduc/docker-obsidian-livesync-couchdb), However, whilst this does install and launch, as i start to do LiveSync i end up in a cesspool of "do this setup, play with this URI, have you configured such and such as a pre-req blah blah blah. Non of it makes any sense, the 'guides' for the docker and / or Obsidian appear to assume one is some kind of expert, whereas I am, and will remain to be a complete Obsidian ignoramus. Is anyone aware of a 'total idiots guide i.e. micro step by micro step guide that accepts you know nothing but would like to use it anyway? As far as i can tell, once it's working, it'll just self maintain. Any advice of any kind from anybody would be greatly appreciated, I'm utterly stuck and can't afford to spend the hours and hours of time educating myself on a platform I have zero interest in! Hi all, I know I'm asking a silly question here, to which i'm 99% I know the answer, but given the cost and problems implicated, I'm going to ask anyway. If i have a (Home Assistant) VM running under v7.0.1, is there any way to expose a 9-pin serial port on my Unraid machine to that VM when the CPU/MoBu does not have IOMMU (VT-D) capability? Just thought I'd ask in case there's some magic workaround I'm not aware of! Cheers!

Hi, Hoping someone can clarify something for me... I've been playing around with PhotoPrism and am confident it's the tool for me. About to nuke my dev Docker and build afresh for full production. What I'm waning to set up: -RO 'Originals' path (already exists as a HDD-based share) -Cache-based 'Storage' (pair of 500Gb SSD -this exists and is stable, all existing dockers are here) -Separate 'Sidecar' path (separate HDD-based location - I have MANY HEIC photos which PhotoPrism will need to make a converted copy of and this repo needs to be off-cache but NOT in my 'Originals' folder) Indeed, even better than the above would be to retain all 'sidecar' and 'storage' functions on cache with the exception of only the converted HEIC images on spinning disk in an alternative location but I suspect this may be a bit too much to ask... 🙂 Can anyone help clarify what paths in the Docker config I need to setup? (my main problem is that depending on the where I look to learn, there are unclear uses of the terms 'original', 'sidecar' & 'storage') Thanks if anyone can help!
