  1. I upgraded from 6.10.3 to 6.11.1 yesterday (took a backup first). Things were working fine until a few minutes ago I log in to look at a docker and am told "Your flash drive is corrupted or offline. Post your diagnostics in the forum for help.". It also states I am missing my key file. This happens almost each time I upgrade the OS, and in the past I restore the old backup and things go back to working. As instructed by the error message, I'm attaching my anonymized diagnostics for help. I appreciate anything anyone is willing to do. I should mention that the docker containers and VMs are still accessible despite receiving the above error after logging into the management console. Thanks. hagrid-diagnostics-20221016-1800.zip
  2. What is the latest BIOS you've been using on the B550? I've tried upgrading it but when I do, my Windows 10 VM stops working. I don't have the error message on hand to provide, I'm just curious if someone has this MB working on a newer BIOS than v1. Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. B550 AORUS ELITE , Version Default string American Megatrends Inc., Version F1 BIOS dated: Thursday, 14 May 2020 https://www.gigabyte.com/us/Motherboard/B550-AORUS-ELITE-rev-10/support#support-dl-bios
  3. I'm using it for Nintendo NUT server. I expect that when I click the "WebUI" on the Docker image that I'd get to see the NUT interface. Instead I (sometimes) get asked to authenticate, then I get a white page with a "404", and that's as far as it gets.
  4. I'm having trouble with the NUT server (ramdockerapp/nut-server)... I've installed it, set the path to the files, and set creds, but when I try to access the WebUI I get a 404 (sometimes I get asked to auth first, then after authing I get a 404). Am I doing something wrong? Checking the log via the console shows the server has scanned the directories correctly, and when running "ps aux" I see the command "python3 /root/nut.src.latest/nut.py -S"
  5. I'm trying to create a Windows 10 install thumb drive to troubleshoot my friends laptop. When I plug in the 32GB Kingston USB drive it appears under Unassigned Devices, but when I go to the VM's tab and refresh the libvrt plugin it does not appear as an option to attach / detach the device. Back under the Main tab in Unassigned Devices I've clicked the Settings button next to the thumb drive and enabled Pass Through and refreshed libvrt plugin, but still no luck. Am I missing something of what I need to do for the thumb drive to appear? My keyboard shows up fine in libvrt. Thanks
  6. I'll be sure to remember to do that next time. I grew impatient and tried to fix it myself by unassigning the 250GB NVME and then formatting it. That caused the 1TB drive to say the file system was corrupt, so I had to nuke it too. Sadly I lost all my dockers and VMs (I'll be sure to use the AppData backup tool now!) but that ended up solving another issue as when I rebuilt my Win10 VM the GPU passthrough worked, so I can play games now :)
  7. I added a 250 GB NVME to my current 1TB NVME for cache by adding it to the cache pool. I wasn't aware it would reduce the "size" of the cache and started getting Out of Space errors. I set all my shares to "Yes" for cache and invoked Mover, then unassigned the 250GB drive and checked with Krusader that there was nothing on there other than the docker.img file. I set the Cache slots back to 1 and started up the Array. My Cache still says it is 625GB now instead of the original 1TB, and shows only 28GB free. I've rebooted unRAID, used Scrub and Balance, and rebooted again, but it still shows my Cache pool as 625GB. How do I get back to the 1TB?
  8. I'm not sure what changed, other than rebooting unRAID, but it all started working! Thanks for replying
  9. I went to look at my XML while my VM was powered off, and those settings weren't there. When I powered on the VM then went to edit the same XML again, all of that appeared. Does that change anything? Should I manually set those parameters BEFORE the VM is powered on so they override what (I assume is unRAID) is trying to do? I've attached the "powered off XML" now so it can be compared. GamingVMPoweredOff.xml
  10. Nope, didn't do those myself. I've only added the multifunction for GPU passthrough. Perhaps they appeared when I set it to Emulated for the CPU Mode instead of Passthrough? I had to do that due to the BSOD Kernel Security Check issue when Windows would boot. I'm looking because I am having performance issues (specifically on the one game I'm setting this up to play - Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition). When I play the CPU is maxed out and the game gets like 10 FPS sometimes even on Medium settings and 1080P, even though my GPU and specs are above what is required for 4k.
  11. Is it expected that my CPU appears in Windows 10 Task Manager as "AMD EPYC Processor (with IBPB)" when it is a Ryzen 7 3700X? I do have 4 Cores / 8 HT pinned to it (though I haven't done isolation yet). Attached is my XML Win10GamingVM.xml
  12. I'm trying to pass through audio built into the Motherboard to my Windows 10 VM, but can't find the right device to do so. NVIDIA audio is passed through, but my monitor doesn't have speakers. I passed through [1022:1487] 10:00.4 Audio device: Advanced Micro Devices, Inc. [AMD] Starship/Matisse HD Audio Controller but Windows is only seeing the NVIDIA Audio Device. Any tips? 13. That worked! Actually, I deleted the VM and set it up new as host-passthrough instead of changing the XML, but either way, it worked! Thanks
  14. Just got my array set up and currently going through Parity building. I'm trying to install a Windows 10 VM for gaming. I do not have a monitor plugged up to unRaid, I plan on using parsec for LAN gaming. Currently I'm access it via VNC first, then will set up the video card. I followed Spaceinvader One video for getting vbios set up. When setting up the VM, while it tries to boot I get a Windows sad face with the message KERNEL SECURITY CHECK FAIL. I've got the IOMMU and Virtualization enabled in the BIOS. What am I doing wrong here? New user here, so testing this out. unraid.xml
  15. Thank you both for replying to me on this. I really appreciate it. @Energen yes I'll be bringing my own drives. I currently have 4 2TB SAS drives (can I / should I use one of those as a cache drive?) Also, please correct my understanding on this: To set up parity, I'll have to clear all my drives first, when means I'll need to buy a new 10TB drive (since that is the largest currently in my posession) and use it as the parity drive, then for my current drives I'll have to shuffle the data around and add one drive at a time, preclear it, then move data onto it? 10TB at 82% full 10TB at 52% full 4TB at 84% full but can be wiped as it is currently a backup 3 (or 4 depending on the answer to the question above about using the SAS drive for caching) 2TB SAS drives with no data on them. Also, the 4 SAS drives are currently connected to a H710 RAID controller, but each set as an individual RAID0 drive - would this cause any issues with parity? Do I need to get rid of the RAID controller and replace it with a LSI SAS 9210-8i? I'm new to this part. @ChatNoir I'm thinking that is the right way to go, to replace the parts doing too much noise. I've been researching all day how to replace or mod the fan. It's a Dell T620 chassis fan, which has a proprietary 4-pin connection so soldering would be involved, and the fan dimensions are 92x38 mm - I've heard I could get a smaller noctura fan and ziptie it on. I've also heard that the Dell BIOS freaks out if you put any other fan in there and spins them at 100%. If you have any pointers or suggestions I'd love to hear them.
  16. I bought a server off of eBay, and unfortunately is is too loud for the guest bedroom, and there are no other places to put it. I've got about 1000 USD to spend on it, and am looking for something that meets my needs. I'm at my wits end on this and would really appreciate some specific guidance. 1st priority - needs to be as quiet as my Desktop computer (Core i7) I'm not sure how many cores or how much RAM I'd need, but here is what I'd be running 24x7: Plex - at most 3 streams at a time, not too much transcoding needed, but on my i7 there haven't been any issues because of the integrated gpu doing hardware transcoding Medusa / sabnzbd / sonarr Splunk VM Some sort of home web filter like Sophos XG Google Rapid Response (remote forensics gathering tool) NextCloud Things that would be spun up for fun and learning: Kali Metasploitable various vulnerable VMs taken from sites like vulnhub How many cores would I need? How much RAM do you suggest? Does it need to be ECC or would regular desktop RAM work fine? I don't want underpowered, but of course I don't want overkill either. The more drive bays the better - preferably at least 6 so I can have a cache drive and parity drive, but would prefer at least 8 3.5" drive bays.
  17. Found the answer H710 - CANNOT use disks in non-RAID - ALL disks must be configured in a RAID array in order to be presented to the OS. If you need to use a non-redundant, single, individual drive, then it must be configured as a single-disk RAID 0. Fixed it by doing as instructed
  18. Just got my first server delivered from eBay. Specs: Dell T620 - Motherboard: OMX4YF H710 RAID Controller 4 x 2TB SAS drives Dual CPU E5-2660 @ 2.2GHz 64 GB DDR3 Multi-bit ECC I deleted the current virtual disk from the RAID Controller and Started the drives in the BIOS I've rebooted but still do not see the unassigned drives. I've even installed the Unassigned Drives plugin. Under Tools > System Devices the only thing under SCSI Devices is the boot USB and the DVD drive Where do I start? My goal is to get a Plex docker spun up and see how load the server is while transcoding.
