  1. You can get similar size results with docker commands which I don't remember now. But of course they both can be wrong. We need some tools/commands to look/report/investigate non container part of docker image.
  2. I don't use plex but I think this scenario can't be true. IMO you have to see this increase in cadvidor but AFAIK the increase is not on any container at least for me, the increase is in the non container part in docker image.
  3. is it possible that upgrading from 6.1.2 to 6.1.3 slows down my parity check? my old parity checks are between 85-90MB/s but my last parity check speed is 65MB/s.
  4. If you are addicted to merging mkvs as me you will need this too. Actually i made this for me but want to share it with the community. I try to make this as parametric as i can (there are still some hard coded stuff but dont forget that i m too lazy to merge mkvs manually ) This is a two part script: automerge merges a single mkv and mergeall calls automerge for all the folders and merge them all. I use mkvtoolnix-gui docker for the dependicies. Bad news is i can i run it within the container from cli with docker exec -ti mkvtoolnix-gui /bin/bash /config/config/automerge.sh -d "/somedirectory/" but i want to run this with another script outside the docker. Cant achive that yet i appriciate any help and comments. PS: I m not an linux or bash scripting expert i just can google and read. I think that i ve tested this script enough and beyond tests i merge over 30 movies with this but you should use it with caution. #usage: automerge.sh -d "/input dir/" -o "/output dir/" -l eng #you can omit any parameter #if you omit -d and/or -o script will use currrent directory both for input & output #-l parameter sets/overwrites the audio track language #purpose of the script is to merge movie files, subtitles, posters and nfos automaticly with mkvmerge #what does this script do: #adds mkv file (just one file) in the input dir excluding sample without subtitle tracks #adds turkish and english subs in the input dir (*_tr.srt *_eng.srt case insensitive) #script will exit if tr sub not exists but continoue if eng sub not exists #makes tr sub default track #gets audio codec and channel info and put that to audio track name #gets release name from the foldernae and put that to video track name #adds *poster*.jp(e)g as attachment (there must be poster for movies. othervise script will exit) #adds *.nfo as attachment (if not exists script will continue) #script will exit if audio track lang is und this is where the -l option comes #script will exit if multiple audio tracks exists #and merges them with mkvmerge #changes the output files permissions to 666 #moves the source files to another dir. sorry it is hard coded change it from the bottom of the script automerge.zip
  5. I don't think that it is related with logs. Logs can't take that much space. But it can be related with some sort of backup files.
  6. I have same problem but I don't use sonar.
  7. unfortunately it is not possible to change the partition format Because of that i follow the shrink array procedure and preclearing the disk again. https://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Shrink_array
  8. I found that i had precelared an Advanced Format drive (WD20EARX) with starting sector 63 and it is formated mbr not aligned for 4K, file system is RFS. I move all files to other disks now the disk is empty. I plan to stop the array change FS to XFS and mbr 4K aligned. Start the array and i guess that disk will show up unformated. And format the disk. Is this procedure correct? Do i need to precelar the disk again with -A flag?
  9. Thanks for everyone for the advices, i have done the upgrade. 10. It is an old pci card with HPT372NLF chipset , I won't give any money, I just use it (if it will add any performance and if it is compatible with unraid 6) or not.
  11. Thanks for your time and advices. I never had any issues with parity check speeds, my last parity check report: Notice [TOWER] - Parity check finished (0 errors) Duration: 9 hours, 22 minutes Average speed: 89.0 MB/sec I think it is reasonable. But I m not sure about Cpu load on parity check I never put an eye on it.
  12. Hi all, i need an advice before adding some disks and sata controller card(s) to my system. I bought an saslp (not sas2lp) card to add more disks to my array. And i find a pci HighPoint Rocket RAID 1520 rev 2.1. (i cant find much info about unraid compability) My setup details are seen on my signature. In addition to my setup in weekend i will add 2 disks to my array: ST3200542AS and ST31500341AS. 6 port on mobo, 8 port on saslp, (2 port on HPT1520) How to connect my disks to get best performance? Do i need HPT1520, can it add any performance gain, maybe for cache drive (BTW i use cache drive for just apps and downloads but i merge mkv my movies from cache to array) Best choices i can think of: Parity on mobo, 6 data drives on saslp, cache on HPT? Parity on saslp, 6 data drives on mobo, cache on HPT? If HPT is not compatible what should i do? Thanks for any advice.
  13. Nothing to do, safe to use. Most syslogs have ACPI messages, as the vendors and BIOS writers cater to what Windows wants, not to Linux. Sometimes when we see a lot of ACPI messages, we recommend looking for a BIOS update. There's absolutely nothing else you can do. A BIOS update *may* remove a few of them. RobJ thanks for your reply. Actually i did a BIOS update yesterday. and after reading your reply i search for old syslogs to find out if this warnings are new or not. And see that they are not new except below line. My old syslog is from unraid 5.x maybe that can make this difference. Sep 7 01:02:28 Tower kernel: ACPI BIOS Warning (bug): 32/64X length mismatch in FADT/Gpe0Block: 64/32 (20150410/tbfadt-623) It is a bit offtopic but i see that there are no syslog files after 17.06.2015 in the /boot/logs/ dir. I think that after upgrading to unraid 6 either it is not saving logs to flash when restarting syslogd or after that time there arent any syslogd restarts
  14. I have some warnings in syslog. Do i have to do anything about these warnings or it is safe to use? Full syslog is attached. 16. http://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=42654.msg406276#msg406276 i think that this is all about docker update which comes with unraid 6.1 or with the rc. it is not container related. in the update process maybe it takes some backups. But i dont know how to prove or clean this. And feel lay for starting from scratch.
  17. i have the same situation. i suspect that this is related to the update. after update i get a notification about this (Docker image disk utilization of 80%). i m not sure about the exac usage before update but i m sure it is much more less. And it is abvious that nearly 4.5gb of data is missing (by looking the outputs below; from cadvisor and settings). 19. i have an odd issue but i'm not sure who is guilty docker engine, container, hardware issue, fragmentation, fool me, etc (i suspect that this started after i updated to unraid6.) reading from transmissions downloaded folder (mapped in docker to my cache disk, cache only share) dramaticly slow! aprox. 5 times slover than usual: if i copy a file from transmissions (running from gfjardim's docker) downloaded folder to a disk share (with mc) or to my windows desktop it copies around 8-15 MB/s. (file is not seeding and i'm testing this with a 5GB file) but if i copy that file into root of my cache only share and try to copy from there it copies around 40-50 MB/s. i cant figure out why. This issue dramaticly slows down my mkv muxing process for finished downloads. Is this somehow related to docker volume mappings or dockers nature? when i copy a file from docker mapped volume does docker.img somehow involved and slows down the operation? is there a way or what is the best way to solve this issue?

  21. Hi the more i learn about docker the more i love it thanks for bringing this into unraid. It will be nice to see containers disk, ram, cpu usage on docker page, maybe with history. I know there is a docker container: cAdvisor but it is to much complicated than this. It is not quick or easy to get the summary from that. And also a system notification will be nice if space on docker image low. i'm not sure if this exists but i know that there is no notification for cache drive so i dont think this exists too.
  22. remove the container and image and adding again solves the issue, i think i have to do all setting again i noticed that when i readd the container volume mapping changed: /usr/local/openvpn_as to /conf this can be the issue.
  23. Seems the symlink is pointing to it self and is looping, what happens if you clear the conf ? Hope i get it wright. i change the conf mapping to a new dir, this time it does not populate any files or folders. my volume mapping is: /usr/local/openvpn_as ---> /mnt/cache/No_move/docker/openvpn_as2 *** Running /etc/my_init.d/00_config.sh...
