  6. Guys, love the software, please point me in the right direction. 1 of my drives was not showing in the array, then it became disabled and data was emulated. The drive showed. there was an option at the bottom to format the drive. I thought that since i reconnected it, it would format and rebuild...however i lost all data from that drive. now its showing as empty. i think i just lost all the data on that drive?? Help please
  7. I also am having issues. server is good for about 12 to 20 hours and then they just go missing. I am running on 6.6.1. Thanks
  8. Yes, i use NFS shares under unassigned devices. They have not been mounting correctly. I just upgraded to stable. I can not get the NFS mounts to go through. I also use NFS mounts from a VM to my unraid. Could this be causing it? Is there options i can change to make this work better?
  9. I attached my log files. I recently upgraded my server to a Threadripper 1900X with 32gb ram. i have the latest firmware and here are my specs. Running unraid 6.6.0 RC4 M/B: Micro-Star International Co., Ltd. - X399 GAMING PRO CARBON AC (MS-7B09) CPU: AMD Ryzen Threadripper 1900X 8-Core @ 3800 HVM: Enabled IOMMU: Enabled Cache: 768 kB, 4096 kB, 16384 kB Memory: 32 GB (max. installable capacity 512 GB) Network: bond0: IEEE 802.3ad Dynamic link aggregation, mtu 1500 eth0: 1000 Mb/s, full duplex, mtu 1500 eth1: not connected eth2: not connected eth3: not connected eth4: not connected Kernel: Linux 4.18.8-unRAID x86_64 OpenSSL: 1.1.0i Everything seems to be good but then after about 12hr f uptime, the shares disapere. When i connect with SMB i see the shares but cant access. Also "User" is missing. in MC it just shows a red "?user" icon and i cant access it. Please help! tower-diagnostics-20180919-1917 (1).zip
  10. I have my array in Maintenance mode right now and not writing anything to disks. I have a feeling all my data is gone. im really really hoping JonP can come through with something or someone else. I had all my VMs, Dockers and other stuff on there.
  11. OK i have run "btrfs restore -v -i /dev/sdi /mnt/disks/OCZ_ARC100_A22L2061519000807/sdi" that restores some files, but it looks like new files and only about 57MB. I dont know what else to try. im really in a binde.
  12. Help. I had a power problem and was shutting down the server when my UPS died. I rebooted the server and the array started but the cache was unmountable. I have 3 SSDs in BTRFS. one of the drives was in a list of drives to format, after looking all around i decided that since the other drives were not listed, that i would format that and see if that would bring the cache back. well it mounted, but all files are gone. I have no backups of the VMs or Dockers. Please HELP! i tried running "btrfs restore -v -i /dev/sdi /mnt/user/Software/cacherestore" and that gave me "No valid Btrfs found on /dev/sdi Could not open root, trying backup super No valid Btrfs found on /dev/sdi Could not open root, trying backup super Superblock bytenr is larger than device size Could not open root, trying backup super
  13. If you are running Plex media server, when a trans code starts for me it was killing my VM speed. I have 88 cooler with 16 threads. Usually not a problem but that initial kickoff of Plex was killing my performance.so I pinned four cores to my complex so that it wouldn't take over everything. When Plex starts up it uses all the resources it has available to it.
  14. Check out Virtualhere. I have used it a lot and it works well. I have it running on a beagle bone Free for 1 device or 39.99 for up to 122.
  15. I like your build so far. I would try to go with a bit more Ram if you can. 32gb is a nice place to be. Go with 2 ssd drives for your cache pool. 256gb pool should be good for a few VMs and docker. You can always add more cache drives as you go forward. I don't have any cable preferences.
  16. After watching Linus Tech Tips 7 gaming PCs in one, i heard him say something about using the BTRFS file system to create a type of linked clone. Is this easily done? i cant find any information on this. I run 2 VMs but the VMs are starting to eat into my cache pool and i would like to create more, but with the base as one of the machines i already have. I want to save space. is this possible? Any help would be awesome!
  17. I had solved my problem with replacing a bad drive. I was getting a lot of errors on the drive during this time. Once I replaced that drive everything went away and has been running smoothly for weeks.
  18. I am having the same issue. works fine the first time i start it up. Not sure what to do. Thanks
  19. I am still tuning all my data disks in RFS. I have a 3 drive cache pool that seems to be running great. I do not run sonarr at all. I run all my data disks off a IBM M15**(can't remember the exact one but it's the one everyone runs). That goes into a SAS expander and out to the drives. I have one drive dying so I am pre clearing on another system. Not sure if that is my issue but it is throwing up a lot of fails.
  20. Ton, how long is unraid up until it starts to loose web interface. I also am experiencing freezups. The VMs work fine but all Docker containers stop and unraid will not power off. I have the power down script installed and can still ssh into the box. I am currently waiting on new drives to replace a failing drive so that could be my issue. My unit stays up for about 4 days no problem and then BAM it stops allowing me to get to the web interface and user shares are down.
  21. Hello, I am running 6.13 with 2 vms with 2 GPUs passed through. I noticed the problem a few weeks ago but then started messing around with VMs so i have rebooted my server a few times. after 3 or 4 days up, my web interface dies and all dockers stop. my vms however stay running and i can use them. the shares also die. I can log into ssh and run TOP. i see the VMs running near the top, but SHFS is allways pinged at 100. Also my system load is around 91,92,90. I have no issues up till about day 3 or 4. I do have a drive that is failing that i am waiting on a replacement. I also am going to update to 6.14 later today to see if this helps. Also, any attempt to shutdown does not work. i have Powerdown scrip installed but it does nothing during this time. Here is a screenshot https://www.dropbox.com/s/nxxjwojc1rxillm/Screenshot%202015-11-19%2013.24.05.png?dl=0 any one else having this problem? I used to have this setup as an ESXI VM, but moved on from there and now run VMs from Unraid. Help!
  22. I thought it was just me that was having he issues. Thanks for the info. I will try tomorrow.
