Thank you for this! Been looking for a way to monitor my Adaptec 71605, since the sensors from it isn't visible to unRAID. Maybe a daft question, but what do you mean by "more persistent"? I ran the storman command on top and that gave me a StorMan docker container and I've logged into the UI on port 8443. Won't this container persist after reboot or is there some problem with that metod I don't get?

Hi! After a recent cockup on my part, with running my Adaptec card in RAID mode instead of HBA mode, I had to restore 3 drives using UFS Explorer Standard. I managed to restore the vast majority of the files without a problem and some I'll have to manually edit names etc for. I'll do a writeup in the other thread on how progress went, maybe it helps someone in the future. Now, after I've restored the files and managed to copy them back to a now functional array again, I get these 4 warnings: This is in unRAID UI > Shares > Disk Shares, after running "Compute All": I tried restarting in Safe Mode, but that didn't help. I guess not running the plugins have no affect on the compute warning. I located the file in Midnight Commander and tried editing it, but to be honest I wouldn't know what to actually edit... I tried removing the DiskList.php file but that only seemed to break Disk Shares and now after pressing "Compute All" it's just stuck loading. Pulled the diagnostics after this so I'll attach that. Anyone have any good suggestion on a way forward? define7-diagnostics-20220406-1252.zip

Hi! I had problems with bhx-qBitVPN after restoring data due to file system corruption, and during discussions on the unRAID Discord a question occurred regarding permissions and ownership. What is the ownership and permissions that bhx-qBitVPN is creating its files with? In my setup right now, I'm not sure if it's the right one anymore since UFS Explorer could've changed something during the copy of the recovered files. This is the ownerships and permissions bhx-qBitVPN now writes to folders for new torrents: And this is the ownerships and permissions bhx-qBitVPN now writes to the files inside the first of those folders: The discussion on Discord was if it's correct that the permissions for the folders are executable "drwxrwxrwx"?

Oh? I thought I did my research on the card before purchase and found many people recommending it. I’m not blaming the card for my problems, as far as I know I’m to blame for not setting it in HBA mode before connecting any drives. I was stupidly thinking that RAID enabled hw straight up didn’t work in unRAID. I was wrong.. 🙈😅 Tried mounting it in unassigned devices but with no luck. I’ve now installed Ubuntu and trying to salvage the data using UFS Explorer. Only gone through the 2TB drive yet but that seem to have worked great.

Hi! I'm in the middle of my migration from my old HP N40L to a new build in a Define 7 case with a MSI MAG Z590 Torpedo motherboard and i5-11600 CPU. Running unRAID 6.10.0-rc4 Bought myself an Adaptec ASR-71605 HBA/RAID card. Plugged everything in and it worked out of the box. Then after a few days I noticed that the drives didn't spin down so I started investigating. Saw a post on the forum blaming a similar behavior on their HBA card (LSI) so I thought I'd check the cards BIOS to see if I should change something there. I hadn't tried to access the Adaptec BIOS yet... After some looking around I finally found out that I wasn't suppose to actually boot into the cards BIOS using some keyboard combination, but instead it was found under "Settings\Advanced\PMC maxView Storage Manager" in the MSI BIOS. 🤦😅 I saw that the card was set to RAID instead of HBA so I changed it to HBA and saved the settings. When I then booted into unRAID 3 of my drives showed "Unmountable: Unsupported partition layout". 🤕 2 drives is formated XFS and is in the array, and 1 drive is formated btrfs and is a cache drive. All spinning rust if that's of any value. Found the support wiki and started the check file system procedure for Disk 5. Came back: Phase 1 - find and verify superblock... bad primary superblock - bad magic number !!! attempting to find secondary superblock... Prices on 18TB definitely seem to be the new sweet spot. I bought 2x 18TB Toshiba MG09ACA yesterday for €269/pcs from Mindfactory. That’s under €15/TB, haven’t seen that in a while. Especially since this is a enterprise drive with 5 year warranty. I’ve bought WD Elements and shucked before, but those prices aren’t this good anymore. Can’t believe 18TB will be the new “normal”, feels like yesterday 8TB drives were considered massive.. 😅

EDIT: Just a warning, it has come to my attention that Toshiba DOESN'T provide the 5 year manufacturer warranty if you've bought the drive any other place than from them directly or through OEM. YES! I managed to solve it! It was a typo in the alternative web-UI file path. The solution was, after the above to get out of the loop, to stop all docker containers and edit the path line in qBittorrent.conf found in the appdata folder. This is the line to look for if anyone is wondering: For a novis like me it's a great satisfaction to be able to solve something myself. 🥳

Ok, managed to edit all the containers that was network dependent on (routed through) binhex-qbittorrentVPN and that got me out of the loop. I set them to bridge instead. I then re-added the binhex-qbittorrentVPN container using the user template. But the problem with "Unacceptable file type, only regular file is allowed" still persist. Is there a way to edit some .conf or .json file to undo my previous mistake with trying to add an alternative web-UI? This really isn't my territory so bare with me if this is super simple to fix..

Hi! I did something stupid, I first tried to add VueTorrent-UI to binhex-qbittorrentVPN but failed somehow and got when trying to open the web-UI. Removed what files I added for VueTorrent to /appdata and thought I'd try to remove the container and re-add it. Here's when I f*cked up. I had a few other containers routed through binhex-qbittorrentVPN and now the Docker tab is stuck in a rebuilding loop. I can't add the container back either since the "add container" box is greyed out. Is there a way to kill the rebuild via terminal without having to nuke everything? Or anyone have any other way of solving this to return to normal so I could try out VueTorrent again?

Maybe you've solved this already @Nic4433, but have you tried following the setup like @SpaceInvaderOne does in this video? He's installing a second NIC but you already have it so you should be able to follow the setup. Only that you connect from your servers 2.5GbE NIC via your 2.5GbE switch to your PC, and not directly. Or did you manage to solve it any other way? I haven't got dual NICs yet, but the new mobo I'm getting also has 1GbE and 2.5GbE so I've done some reading in advance..

I've been wondering about this too, and after reading through the last 5-10 pages in the thread I believe it doesn't work with cache pools yet due to identification issues. I cross my fingers and hope for an update!

No luck I'm afraid. I added a variable with key: VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS and value: 32400 in binhex-qbittorrentvpn. Then I restarted both qBit and Sonarr for good measure. When trying to add a Connection in Sonarr to PMS I get "Unable to connect to Plex Server" when I try and test it. Auth with Plex.tv work ok. So I tried to use the Plex token from an XML file and it made no difference. Pulled down a completely new image of binhex-qbittorrentvpn and copy pasted my old values in, except for VPN_OUTPUT_PORTS that now was present so added 32400 there. No difference, still "Unable to connect to Plex Server". Logs on Sonarr say: This worked before the IP table tightening so I don't think there is anything I should change in PMS right? In PMS settings it is using 32400 as LAN port. PMS is on 192.168.1.7 Right now I'm routing Sonarr through qBitVPN, perhaps I should read up on proxy and how that work and use that instead? Would that help this? (not network savvy at all..)

I'd love to run it on my server but it's an good old HP Microserver N40L and it's just not powerful enough for my PMS needs... I'm working on building a new one in the near future, but she's a nice little server that's served me well many years. 2. I'm using the "Connection" feature in Sonarr and Radarr to communicate with PMS as to when changes and adds are made. PMS internal "sensing" of that doesn't seem to work that well over SMB,

I would first create a separate share for Downloads (with "complete" and "incomplete" folders) and then map /data to that share (/Downloads) on both SABnzbds and Sonarrs containers. Right now your downloads will go into you appdata folder. Then you point /media in Sonarr to the folder on unRAID where you have your TV shows. Regarding your Sonarr config I don't use Remote Path Mappings so I can't give you answers there. But I don't think that is needed if you configure the rest correct?

Yes, /data is where Sonarr handles the downloaded files from your download client. This path should ideally be the same in your download client container. /media is where your existing media is located. I just created a share called "downloads" to handle all my downloads from both qBit and sabNZBd. So my Host Path 2 is /mnt/user/downloads/ (same in binhex-qbittorrentvpn and binhex-sabnzbd).

I just have to confess that I'm not tech savvy enough to make use of Monitorr or Cachet URL Monitor without a good explanation. In this case it's to monitor the release of a product on a web shop but it could also be for other stuff. Sorry for being noob here, perhaps your suggestions could provide this but I wasn't able to understand them.

Evening folks! I’ve been searching for a website monitoring tool that I can host on my unRAID server, and that can send notifications or emails. Found a few when googling, but haven’t found one in CA. Any suggestions?

I managed to fix the connection problems to the indexers etc I got with the new update, no problem there. But I can't for the life of me get the connection to Plex (within Sonarr/Radarr) to work again. The PMS is not on the unRAID machine so it should still use the PMS IP address? Any ideas? The authentication over Plex.tv works.
