Also, the network connection/port on my network card I think is bad 'cause I can move the network cable a bit and if I touch it, I can hear the server beep as in something is being disconnected or connected again. Could this cause something?
-
Teamviwer shouldn't be the culprit though. How about pursuing the fact that computer seems to crash all the time. LIke someone said, could this be the problem?
Also, kinda seems it crashes when I do a lot of stuff like moving files or in this case, checking for virii.

Alright guys, it's still chugging along checking for virii. It's found 8 infiltrations so far but most of those I think are of stuff that I've downloaded years ago so I doubt that's it but we'll see.
So, any way to make nod32 check the unraid?
Should I disconnect it from the router? Don't want to lose more files. I also have client files here which I'd hate to have to recreate.

What's a netstat?
BRiT, if I don't get a reply soon, I'll leave and I'll get on here when I get back. Been sittin' here all day and I have got to get out and clear my head a bit. All this with possibly losing my folders is getting to me and no, this isn't the only thing happening to me this week, it's been a $hitty week
I shall return

Any other way to test? Could I say, leave the house and turn the connection off, get back to the house and turn the connection on but turn the unraid off or something?
I mean, I won't die but I don't have a day job so I'd get bored as hell
YES, I DO want to know what's going on though if that's gonna be what it takes
-
I guess I could but this is all I do so I would get super bored and it's not like I lose directories every day (that I know of anyway). It just happens that I noticed these.
-
Well, I didn't try anything myself, the guy that set my stuff up did but never managed getting it to work and the consensus was that it had something to do with Windstream.
I even called them and they directed me to a page with the instructions but he still never got it to work...however, he did try numerous times.
I can get him to chime in here perhaps..well, I wrote to him so let's see if he chimes in. I'm getting out of the house for awhile but I'll take a puter with me to reply to questions although
the Burger king wifi where I'll be connected is the sorriest wifi setup I've ever seen.

Building on the cause from the link from earlier..wonder if when the mapped drives are lost (computer crashes), and these rmdir are from unRAID's attempt to spin down the drives ...when your W7 makes a new connection - these directories are not visible.
Not thinking it is a virus...but a result of your W7 losing network connection and the mapped directory.
ANyway to find out, check, look for those directorie's
-
Not that I know of
I wanted to but never could figure out how to do it
-
Well, the settings DO say to scan all files and this thing still doesn't do it..?
On the computer itself it seems to scan everything
-
Why is it not likely there isn't a virus on the unraid?
-
Oh well, my puter just crashed. It's been doing this lately. Is this something that could affect the unraid? They're only connected through the router.
I restarted the virus check but this time, I set it to go straight for the unraid but it keeps stopping after a minute or less telling me it's finished scanning and that it scanned a few thousand files...I have a few million files.
Anyone know what's going on? NOD32, v4
-
Well, so far nothing but it hasn't reached the unraid yet.
-
Well, I shall return in a bit. Gonna go out and get me some food while the virus scan is running. Thanks for the help so far

Are you running a Windows7 host?
Sorry, doesn't mean a thing to me
-
-
Well, I'm running an in depth scan with NOD32 so let's see what it says. This is gonna take awhile 'cause I have around 8tb on the server
-
Ok, I'm working on updating my antivirus to check my computer AND the unraid
-
Then there's a files.cfg file in Shares
-
Go file content...
#!/bin/bash
# Start the Management Utility
/usr/local/sbin/emhttp &
Screen caps coming up. I don't have a custom folder, just a config folder..
-
Do you want a screen capture of what's on the drive/flash and would this stuff be on there?
-
There is a preclear file..?
-
Would this info be on the flash drive? The add on scripts I mean and if so, what should I look for?
Is it possible that folders disappear by themselves?

Alright, here are a few questions then.
First, why would this crash my COMPUTER?
When the computer crashes and reboots, the unRaid is usually connected and everything's fine, even though I haven't touched the network cable or anything else. I know it's very iffy but unless I move, it shouldn't move in and out in the network port of the unraid...or at least that's what I'm thinking..
Second, are these mapped shares still there somewhere or gone/deleted?
