Hmmm, danke für die schnelle Antwort. Scheint so als müsste es auf jeden Fall vorher berücksichtigt werden. Ich sehe jetzt auch mehrere laufende "Ghost" Bash Sessions im Container weil ich bisher immer das Browserfenster geschlossen habe statt die Session sauber zu beenden. Das mag ja "works-as-designed" sein, aber komisch finde ich es schon, wenn man da nicht mehr dran kommt. Ich probiere den Tipp für die Zukunft mal aus. Danke

Hallo zusammen, vermutlich ist das eher eine Linux Basis Frage aber ich habe gerade ein Verständnisproblem. Ich habe mich via "Console" Menü auf einen laufenden Docker Container verbuinden und dort einen Befehl ausgeführt, der mehrere Stunden laufen wird. Danach habe ich die Session "verloren" (entweder aus versehen geschlossen oder sie ist abgebrochen). Ein erneuter Connect erzeugt jedoch eine neue Consolensitzung ohne die laufende Ausgabe aus dem Befehl. Kann ich mich irgendwie wieder in die laufende Ausgabe verbinden? Der Job läuft leider schon viele Stunden und ich möchte nicht von vorne anfangen. Danke im voraus

Possibly there is a workaround acceptable to me in the meantime. In the latest version of Unraid (6.12) the FUSE file system can be bypassed for a share. At least that's how I interpret the release notes. Unfortunately, I have not yet come to test but voluntary before. From the release notes: The advantage of setting up a bind-mount is that I/O bypasses the FUSE-based user share file system (shfs), which can significantly increase performance. Hi Pete, I feel the same way you do. I bought 2 licenses after being convinced by the functionality of the trial version and have been using Unraid for about 2 years now. So far I still deployed the fileservices here at home with a Windows Server VM on Unraid. But since I had to use more and more tricks to fulfill my usecases, I wanted to finally migrate to Unraid 2-3 weeks ago. After all, this is the core functionality of Unraid (I thought). I then pretty quickly became aware of the problem you mentioned and, like you, first started the problem analysis myself. Shortly thereafter, I came across various forum posts with much more in-depth analysis, which described exactly my problem and are over 3 YEARS old. For me, Unraid is thus actually dead as NAS. I have some directories with 30,000+ files and the whole handling is a disaster and felt even worse than it describe some here. Of course I could continue to run my existing setup with the Windows VM (and will for now). But actually that's exactly what I didn't want. The worst thing about it is that Limetech more or less ignores the problem. One of the main functions of a NAS is practically unusable and totally buggy, which in combination with Limetech's inaction makes me question the whole product. If there would at least be a statement like "It's complicated but we're working on it and expect a solution by xx/2023". And if they found out after the analysis that they can NOT fix the problem, they would have to drop their pants in my view and maybe mention in the release notes under Known Errors that the NAS / SMB performance with many small files is a complete disaster. The whole workarounds are, as you said, nothing you want to bother with and do not help in many use cases. A statement from @limetech would be desirable. Should there already be one, I would be grateful for a link.

Hallo Community, ich verzweifle gerade weil ich einen Beitrag / post / FAQ Eintrag nicht mehr finden kann. Es geht darum, dass ich den USB Stick von dem Unraid bootet umbenennen möchte. Wie ja alle wissen, muss der Label vom Stick eigentlich "UNRAID" lauten. Ich habe aber vor ~1 Jahr mal über einen Beitrag gestolpert in dem beschrieben wurde, wie man die Umbenannung trotzdme hinbekommt. Ich glaube es müsste in der syslinux.cfg bzw. im Menü ein parameter mit übergeben werden in dem das "korrekte" Label mit übergeben wird. Ich glaube ich habe das sogar mal aus Spass ausprobiert, darin aber eigentlich keine Verwendung gesehen. Jetzt würde ich das gerne nutzen aber finde den Beitrag einfach nicht mehr. Hat jemand vielleicht einen Tipp für mich? Mir ist egal ob das supportet wird usw. es ist nur für ein Testsystem aber da hätte ich es gerne. Vielen Dank im voraus.
