  1. Thanks, this simple fix cured my ills.
  2. I went under global shares setting ,enabled the sharing of disks , now the comment is not visible and the disks show up. I am now going to restart this computer and see if there is any difference. I'll post the results.
  3. Under the shares tab at the bottom, I see : There are no exportable disk shares.
  4. Version: 6.12.4 I rebuilt my parity drive after loosing the boot drive in a move. I can see all the data is present on the drives, when I use the shares section but nothing shows up under windows. The Server itself shows up but if you try to expand it, there is a comment "folder is empty". Any help would be appreciated.
  5. that did it. Thanks I am most appreciative!
  6. I have never had to use a password or a username to access the management page for my server. Suddenly last week I was greeted by a page asking me for both. I have neither. I was able to continue using the server just not the management gui page. I shut down the server and tried the password recovery tips given. I deleted the three files in the config folder. I then booted the server and I am getting the same thing. However this time the array did not start automatically, as it was doing after a power failure. Any ideas what I should do next ? thanks in advance.
