Lego shut down the Lego Universe servers a decade ago. Since then there's been a group trying to revive it, and sounds like they have a final open source release for private use: https://darkflameuniverse.org/ I'll give it a whirl on a VM and circle back later if the issues get stomped. Howdy, Does the recent 6.10 rc update open up 11th gen chips for this tool?

Hello, I've been having a strange hardware encoding issue on my i5-11400 (UHD 730). While (hw) transcoding I (and remote users) get repeatable white/green "static" artifacts on single frames throughout my media. I have attached a screenshot (https://imgur.com/3AAtahW), they'll happen at the same frames every time. The same artifacts appear on the official plexinc and hotio docker images as well. A possibly related note, the ich777 version of Jellyfin appeared to have resolved this transcoding artifact. The other JF docker images available on the unraid apps tab also have the same static artifacts.

Do you have some sort of "special sauce" in your Jellyfin build? It's the only one that worked for me.

Plex just had an update, however that didn't fix my green static artifacts. I'll write a bug ticket for it thanks.

Is there a way to tell from the Jellyfin admin dashboard if a client transcode is using hardware acceleration similar to how plex adds the (hw) tag?

Whoops didn't realize you had one as well, my bad I'm new here. I installed your Jellyfin, followed the Intel instructions, and so far 15min of watching it seems to work fine! I installed that GPU load tool as well to verify gpu is being used, thanks! Jellyfin is a pretty nice program so far.

I tried official plex, linuxserver and binhex all had same artifacts.

I'll give it a go. I don't have a GPU section on my dashboard like another user screenshot is that normal?

I tried the linuxserver/jellyfin one.

Assuming I set up the Jellyfin docker correctly (adding the additional parameters for quick sync) it software transcodes fine. If I enable quicksync acceleration in admin options nothing plays at all.

I've only used plex before but I'll give it a try. Does having a UHD 730 vs a 750 affect anything with these drivers?

Android app on my phone has same green static at the same places. I added another 1080p file to the test server, it also has green static along the right side.

I included a screenshot in the post, here as well: https://i.imgur.com/3AAtahW.png Similar white/green static will flash up for a frame throughout the playback, and it is repeatable, same frames. Webbrowser: Chrome, Firefox I removed the i915.conf file, same effect on the playback.

I'm having a problem with my i5-11400 which has a UHD 730. I initially added the file: /boot/config/modprobe.d/i915.conf containing: options i915 force_probe=4c8b # next line tested both on and off # options i915 enable_guc=2 The Plex dockers (I've tried a few from the community tools, including the official one) will detect it and (hw) will appear on both lines of transcoding. The problem however is there are repeatable green and white "static" artifacts appearing on the right side of the screen, at the same points of a file. If I disable the second transcode option "Use hardware-accelerated video encoding" the static goes away (however half the transcode process is back to CPU). I have since tried adding the recent Intel-GPU-Top community tool. Pulling up the intel_gpu_top command in the terminal while hw transcoding, none of the gpu graphs get anywhere near maxing out. I am not sure what google terms to search for to find a solution to this type of transcoding artifact. Are there any particular bios settings for the integrated graphics that should be set, initial buffer size, etc.? For reference it is a 1080p 10.4 Mbps Plex reported bitrate being transcoded to 1080p 8 Mbps, through the plex.tv web viewer on windows chrome & firefox, and chrome on mac.
