I found out that the freeze is associated with the Safari browser as no freeze with Chrome or Firefox. Now that I have seen what it is it seems kinda useless frankly.

My long time stable UnRaid has started to act up. Whenever I try to go the the APPS section I get a yellow bar across the top of the screen telling me Action Centre has been loaded and from there UnRaid is frozen. What is Action Centre and do I need it..? How can I stop this freezing..?

Is there a docker app that can test the internet connection speed back to Unraid...? Using any Ethernet connected or Wireless connected Apple or Windows computer I consistently get right around 600 down and just over 30 up and that's what I'm paying my ISP for. I'm however hearing users say they feel speeds (both directions) from the Unraid with things like PLEX are not 600/30 quality. So that's why I would like to be able to test speeds from the Unraid itself.

This may be the wrong section for this question but I could not find a better one. Does anyone have any experience with the Docker called Home Assistant Core....? I installed it and did get the standard Home Assistant application I think but without documentation it's quite daunting to try to set up correctly. It's finding all kinds of things all around my house, like my TV etc.

Jonathan thanks so much for the reply but I must be honest, I don't have a clue what you're saying. Is it possible that you could dumb down your reply because I think you know exactly what I need to do.

I should add that the 1_Unraid_Shares was created during the Unraid setup, I did not create it. The other two I did create, one of them opens to Disk 6 and the other opens Disk 1. I now need the same access to Disk 2 and Disk 3

I have been using Krusader for years and really like it. One thing I need right now are links directly to disks and not only shares. A few years ago I created two of them but for the life of me I can't remember how I created them. What they do for me is to display the contents of a mounted disk, this allows me to move files from disk to disk (I know this is not recommended). Here is the two I created, if someone can describe how this is done that would be awesome, I need to create a link to a few more disks.

OK so I attempted to upgrade, backed up my flash and following the instructions here in the 6.11 announcement I clicked on the Check for Upgrade button and nothing. So attempted option 2 but the link seems to be to an older version than the 6.9.2 that I'm running or at least that's what it tells me when I run the link.

I'm running a somewhat large and solid Unraid with no VM's (right now) and on 6.9.2. Totally stable and happy, no issues so upgrading may not be needed but I feel keeping current has it advantages. So my question is, I you were me would you upgrade for 6.9.2 to this new version...?

I'm running Infuse on an Apple TV, several iPhones and my MacBook Air with no trouble and iCloud sync is not required. Infuse has an internal option to directly add an PLEX library and not connect to it via SMB. When you choose that the Infuse application will look at your network and see the PLEX server and offer it to connect to. I did once try to attach via SMB and it was strange where it would display double icon's for one movie but using the direct PLEX option works perfectly. By using this option you can also change posters and backgrounds of movies and it changes them in the PLEX database just like PLEX itself does. As you can see from the image the SMB shares are seen but I don't use them. The reason I moved to Infuse and away from the PLEX client is because the PLEX client can't pass Dolby Atmos on an Apple TV but Infuse Pro does. The Roku PLEX client on my TCL smart TV does pass Atmos but the video quality in 4k is crappy, I hate Roku.

I have two 1000mbps NIC's in my Unraid server however I have never used more than one, should I...? What would be the advantage and how do I set it up..?

Seems like the cone of silence is working fine here, last official comment was back in August last year, so my question is, when will we see 6.10 and is it under effort or dead.....?

I'm a fairly active user of the original NAS services provided by Unraid. One of the things I will often do is to upload several large video files and then go to the GUI and click on mover in order to push these files off my Cache drive (SSD) into the array so they are protected. What I have noticed is that manual execution of mover never completes but the scheduled daily mover (3am) always completes. Not a huge deal but sometimes the value of the data is high and leaving this data unprotected even for only hours was my motivation to "move" early. Any thoughts....?

I did try to post this in the right folder but I could not, sorry - I have an issue with all remote users now, they are getting this - "Playback Error" There was an unexpected error during playback. Please visit our forums if you continue to experience problems. From home devices all is fine bit I did use a proxy to look like I was from Toronto and got the same error, any thoughts anyone.

You're pretty much right it does work mostly. I just get a few lockups and failed launches but maybe 10% of the time so no big deal, thanks.

As most know if they still use Krusader in a Docker it's pretty much dead now and not supported. Does anyone have suggestions on a replacement, thanks....

I just tried a new test... 1. Created a brand new share on Unraid and set it up with a unique name and as a TM share 2. From my MacBook Air (2020), mounted this new share, went to the TM app and that new share shows up just fine. 3. Did the same on my iMac (2015), mounted this new share, went to the TM app and the new share shows up just fine. 4. And now, to my wife's iMac, mounted this new share (normal), went to the TM app and nothing there, no shares at all Remember this troublesome iMac saw an old Time Capsule instantly AND was working on the Unraid TM share for years.

Thanks John, but to be honest I'm not able to follow what you're suggesting. For one I don't know how to map out to a share via network explorer...

I have been using my Unraid as a Time Machine backup location for my 3 MAC's now for a number of years. Just got a warning on my wife's iMac that it has not been backed up in a few weeks so I looked into why. For some reason the Time Machine application on her MAC does not see my TM share at all. I can browse to it using connect to server and can see the backup bundles no problem so I don't think it's a permission issue. I have searched and read everything but have not found a solution. The other two MAC's are connecting and backing up just fine. My wife's iMac is the oldest of the three machines (2013) and it's running ElCapitan which is the newest OS that hardware can support, but again it's been working fine for years. As one final test, I took an old and long demoted Apple Air Station and fired it up. Her iMac saw that Time Capsule right away but NOT the Unraid. Any ideas......

You're are a smart man my friend, not sure why I didn't think of that. Did exactly as you suggested and it looks like I'm 100% back and my pro key is valid again, array started and all looks normal again. Wonder what happened, I think I'm going to request a pro-key for my backup USB stick just in case something is bad in the original. If it fails again the back up USB will just work.
