The devX is the device name in the UD page. If the device name is 'Dev 1', then use dev1 as the device to mount. /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned umount /dev/sdX or devX unmount device sdX /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned spindown devX spin down a disk. SSDs will not spin down. /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned mount SOURCE where SOURCE is the SMB/NFS source. /usr/local/sbin/rc.unassigned umount SOURCE where SOURCE is the SMB/NFS source. Gentlemen, I thought when restarting Unraid, device letters on unassigned devices wouldn't change. But I took a test and they changed. It was "sde and "sdg" and now it's "sdd" and "sdf". I have a script in "CA users Scripts" who assembles these devices to backup. It's programmed to run automatically. In this case, it doesn't work. Does anyone have a solution? Yes, it's a USB disk.

@dlandon please, can you help me with my script? When I connect a backup device (HD), the backup is done normally. When I connect another backup device, the label name isn't updated. So I need to restart my server to clean up the "temporary file", so the label updates. Doubt: when I finish making the backup, do I need to clean up any temp folder in unraid? Let me explain again. I have two backup device. The script runs automatically when connecting. Label device 1 = 1TB-ROTEADOR Label device 2 = 1TB-BRANCO I connected the device 1 and the label name is "1TB-ROTEADOR". The backup fineshed perfectly. So I removed and connected the second device. It doesn't run the script because it's linking with the old device (1TB-ROTEADOR). When script runs does it create something in the temp folder? I think there's some error and it doesn't load the script's temp file from the second device. This has happened before, and I need to restart the server every time it happens.

It isn't run the script, because the script name is "1TB-ROTEADOR" and the device label is "1TB-BRANCO".

Need to stop array before running powerdown -r? Or powerdown -r does this automatically? And the VM? Do I need some command to shut down first?

Hey, guys. I created a backup script analyzing other scripts. The script make backup to PLUG & PLAY devices or FIXED devices and make incremental or sync backup. Any suggestions or corrections are welcome.
