  2. cache_dirs crashes for me all the time. If I have a putty telnet prompt open I can see this: root@Tower:/boot# cache_dirs -w cache_dirs process ID 5122 started, To terminate it, type: cache_dirs -q root@Tower:/boot# ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: subst.c:7606: cannot allocate 112 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: execute_cmd.c:3599: cannot allocate 72 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) ./cache_dirs: line 462: [: : integer expression expected ./cache_dirs: xmalloc: stringlib.c:135: cannot allocate 120 bytes (901120 bytes allocated) I guess cache_dirs is crashing because it doesn't have enough memory. I have 4Gb of ram. I have also tried to start cache_dirs with only my movies and tv share, like this: cache_dirs -m 3 -M 5 -d 3 -i "Movies" -i "TV\ Series" -w But cache_dirs crashes within a couple of hours. My movie share is 7.58Tb and consist of ~1 190 movies with nfo, md5, folder.jpg, backdrop.jpg files in every folder. And my TV share is 10.01Tb and consist of ~7 397 episodes and the shares is spread across 11 disks. So at least it's ~ (1 190 x 5) + 7 397 = 13 347 files. And some movies and episodes is dvd backups like several *.vob *.ifo *.bup files. So my guess would be it's closer to 15 000 files that cache_dirs need to scan. Plugins that I run is Subsonic and unmenu. Is there anything I can try, so cache_dirs doesn't crash on me?
  3. At first the shares will not be active so you can't see them. But once you activate the shares every share you had before will show up. But they will have default settings so make sure you remember the settings on all your shares. And you have to add the users as well. If I remembered correctly you can check before you start the array that you parity is correct so unraid doesn't build parity again, it will do a parity check on the other hand.
  4. I think split level = 0 means that only one disk will be used for that share. Split levels wiki
  5. A friend of mine is having slow read/write speeds(1-2 Mb/s) to disks attached to a Promise SATAII150/SATA300 TX4. He is now using unRAID 5-rc8a. On older versions of unRAID he didn't notice the slow speed of (1-2 Mb/s). I don't know if it's a driver issue, but it feels like it. So does anyone where I can download version 5.0-beta8 and later so we can test and see?
  6. It's a bug. Stop and start the array. EDIT: Sorry didn't read that you have updated to rc6, I guess it's something else then.
  7. I think it's a PHP issue, are you running any plugins?
  8. Sorry for the late answer... If you have the DS_Store package installed with the option to send mail then that is why you are getting that message. Cron needs a way to send mail out and if it can't then you get the message you are seeing. I have the notify script installed. So that is probably why cron is trying to send some email. I want to be able to restart Subsonic without restarting unRAID. Because as it is now Subsonic doesn't add new music to the artist menu or to the iPhone app. I can only find new music under Home -> Newest after a search index update. The subsonic_stop.sh script doesn't work. I think it's because the PID.txt isn't correct. My PID.txt file just contains the numbers 5404. What should I do to make the stop/start script work?
  9. kapperz: Thanks for a great tutorial. Thanks to you I have a nice music streaming application both on my computer and on my iPhone. I donated 20€ 1# question: Can you stop and start Subsonic with some command(telnet/PuTTY)? [EDIT]2# question: In the log of unraid I find 19:00:16 Tower crond[19824]: unable to exec /usr/sbin/sendmail -t, user -oem, output to sink null is there something to do about the unable to exec...?
  10. How to set RSS updateInterval? I have looked at the rss plugin wiki, and found: But it doesn't help me.
  11. Use the BIOS default settings and try EVERY port on the back, it looks like there's 8 of them. I have a Asus motherboard and it doesn't give me a GUID on every usb port.
  12. It would be great if you could make unRAID packages of, PluginDataDir, Plugin_GetDir and PluginChoose. Really great work you've done with this UnTorrent package.
  13. Thanks, great answer, just what I needed to know. I'm getting Bandwidth Limit Exceeded when I try and download the syslinux.zip. I found the full syslinux-3.84.zip but wasn't sure if it's good enough, but now I know.
  14. Can anyone provide a working url of Syslinux that works with v4.5?
