  1. Glad I didn't order it, after reading a little more, the card gets to 150 F and both of my cases have good cooling with 6 or 7 fans but I don't think the motherboard can handle that temperature. The cases this would be for is both Phantekone (Phantek) and Tower (Fractal Design Meshify 2) See the specs in my signature above.
  2. I am going to go for it and see what happens. Ordering the 9300 x16 - I think ERR - I think I might keep reading before doing it now because I was reading that it gets VERY hot and can damage the MB - I definitely don't want to deal with that
  3. My thinking was because it was using the pci lanes and there was nothing else available so that is why I thought replacing all the motherboard ports and removing the controller card for the extra 10 ports would speed up the bottleneck
  4. Oh really? When copying files locally from drive to drive, I am only getting about 100-190mbit and sometimes dropped WAY down to 20mbit or less - I thought the bottleneck was with the motherboard or the current controller card?
  5. No it's not raid - just wanted to double check before ordering
  6. If I replace the current motherboard controller (6 ports) with an LSI controller card, will I lose any data? I started reading through the threads but I didn't see this specific question. From my reading, I should get better drive performance from the LSI card. I also am currently using a cheap 50.00 10 port card which would be replaced with the LSI 8 or 16 card (didn't decide yet).
  7. My Asus MB only has 1.0g port so I been using a 8156B/8152 USB adapter and driver and it's been working with 2.5 speed prior to loading the latest Unraid release 2 months ago with 6.12.6 - The issue the network speed is only 1.0g - never exceeds 1.4.. I have 2 other unraid servers and they are both transferring 2.5 to and from each other and to PC's so its not an issue with the network. It's only when copy to and from this machine that I find the issue. I have tried to uninstall it and reboot to the old Nic, then reinstall the drivers but no matter what is done, it does not get the extra speed anymore. Any idea on what could be the issue. Thanks
  8. Quick update on my issue with the SMB shares. I went and removed 1 of the 2 shares and recreated it and then it fixed both of them where they turned orange "Mount" and I was then able to press the mount button and it's working. Really weird behavior but not sure what would have caused this but just wanted to update the issue.
  9. I have the 8125 and I read somewheres on here to blacklist the 8169. Never had an issue Clicked on the double arrows, it says "Success" but both SMB's are still grayed out. I will wait and see if anyone else reports the issue before downgrading because I can get around not having access to those for now. The Realtek Nic is a 2.5g built in but I never had any issue prior. I have an Intel 225 (I think) card but other places on here said NOT to use that as it's even more problems.
  10. Here are the diagnosnode804-diagnostics-20231128-2009.ziptics..
  11. The upgrade went fine going from 4 to 5 but I can't get mount my smb shares ? Waiting for more info before doing anything myself. Both connected/mounted prior to upgrade
  12. I know Josh is not here much anymore and he said to use filebot to rename files after converting but I am just wondering if anyone else was able to get this accomplished? I used all the instructions on this in the unmanic document but it just did not work at all I waited for the processing of startup.sh (about 20 mins) but when just doing a simple command to take the output and add like his example, it didn't do anything. It did make my docker grow from 13-15 though. Here is the log message but I have no idea what to do or what is wrong 2023-09-25T20:53:53:ERROR:Unmanic.PluginExecutor - [FORMATTED] - Exception while carrying out 'postprocessor.task_result' plugin runner 'postprocessor_script' Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/local/lib/python3.8/dist-packages/unmanic/libs/unplugins/executor.py", line 256, in execute_plugin_runner runner(data) File "/config/.unmanic/plugins/postprocessor_script/plugin.py", line 378, in on_postprocessor_task_results exec_subprocess(cmd, args) File "/config/.unmanic/plugins/postprocessor_script/plugin.py", line 181, in exec_subprocess raise Exception("Failed to execute command: '{}'".format(full_command)) Exception: Failed to execute command: 'filebot --conflict skip -non-strict -rename "/library/videos/testfile.mp4" --format "{source} {vf}-{vc}" ' 2023-09-25T20:53:55:INFO:Unmanic.PostProcessor - [FORMATTED] - Removing task cache directory '/tmp/unmanic/unmanic_file_conversion-onznv-1695689488' If anyone else here got this to work, can you please post some notes on how you got it and if there was anything special needed outside of the document. The goal is just append to the filename the following "HEVC" so i know it was converted. Once I get this part working, i can play around more but I can't get this to work.
  13. -v /home/sample/logs:/app/logs:rw \ Is there a way to make the above line work from the LOGS menu item? I am creating a path called /app/logs and then using the following host path: /mnt/user/appdata/sample/logs/ This creates the file log file but i was just wondering if there is a way to make it so when you click on LOGS in the menu, it will automatically show it from there? I am NOT too advanced in Docker so any help would be appreciated.
  14. Update: Updated 3 of 3 servers / 2 of the 3 were perfect but 1 had small issue. UPDATED: So the 6.12.2 server had some minor issues with the upgrade. I had 2 network connections (I was using 2.5usb) and 1g on motherboard. After the upgrade, it went back the 1g. I needed to move ethernet cable, reboot, load the realtek RTL8156 Drivers again (but before upgrading, checked that there was no newer version). Then reboot and move the ethernet in network settings and I was ok. The smallest of things can cause issues. I have 3 servers that I will update tonight or tomorrow. After reading some comments in this thread, I am slightly nervous with the people that said they lost there docker containers. Using 6.12.3 on 2 servers and 6.12.2 on the other one. Never had any problems with upgrading other than it would choose the wrong network adapter which was easily remedied. With the previous updates, I followed all the steps, but never saw a comment "Lost all my dockers" that I see in this thread so wish me luck. And if there are problems, hopefully someone here can point me in right direction. I will report back once done, unless someone does not think I should do the upgrade yet.
  15. So after doing my testing (I have 3 servers) - 2 ASUS and 1 MSI all with realtek's. MY PC (RYZEN 9 MINI PC with INTEL I225V) - ASUS MB with 1G (so using the Realtek dongle) and when sending to realtek dongle, getting speeds of 2.5g but when sending from back MY PC, getting 1.8g (using a 3.5g mp4 test file) With both other Servers conducting the same test, got the same quick transfer TO the server from MY PC, but when going from SERVER to MY PC (1-1.2g Speed). These are using the built in 2.5g Ports So the driver definitely helped as far as getting a non working 2.5 USB adapter recognized again. This is the link to Amazon dongle that I used. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B084L4JL9K/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 If we can only figure out why the speed other direction is slower. Server to Server transfer is also 1g but i don't think i can use this driver on those because it's not the same realtek, both of the servers are 8125B - would I cause a problem with using these drivers??
