  1. This is resolved by restoring a urbackup backup onto another drive but then ran into a problem where windows was saying not activated, needed to copy the original UUID and MAC address over to new backup and update the NVAR template line and now fully back online but wish I knew the real reason the problem occurred in the first place

    It's made it more than 1 hour so I will know 100% by Wednesday but it looks like it did resolve the issue. Who would have thunk it!

    It's resolved. The issue was I had a VM with the checkbox to use the network, once I removed the checkbox, whammo - it booted.. had nothing to do with guest-tools!

    OMG - It's resolved. The issue was (I was not thinking clearly) - I was trying to pass the network in the VM and once I removed the checkbox, all is well now.

    Never Mind - I got it working - I had OVMF (but it needed OVMP - TPM)

    Thank you Jorge, something so simple but not obvious because I never set it to that - or at least not intentionally.   I found that settings on 2 of the 3 servers.
