Hardlinks and Plex?
So, I'm new to unraid. I've been watching videos like crazy and trying to make the most of my 30 day trial to insure unraid meets my needs. The problem I'm finding is that the community is so helpful and offers so much input, the tutorial videos, and active community...these are all good things, but many paths to do one thing become obsolete as the software and options progress. So someone who is new like me....it's hard to determine if a older video is still the excepted best method or if the more recent videos that sort of counter that methodology are just a different way to do things or a "better" way that was discovered (or a added feature), further down the line. Regarding Plex and Harlinks.....I've seen the traditional methods of setting up Plex, where you have multiple shares (ie. Movies, TV, music, etc), but more recently I've seen several posts regarding Hardlinks (ie. Trash's guide and Ibracorp videos), where you Hardlink the data under one share. Many folks say the hardlinking method is better, some say it's only better if you are using torrents (and seeding), can someone explain the benefit of hardlinking and why one might want to or not want to use that method? Thank you!

Intel 12th generation Alder Lake / Hybrid CPU
haha! I'd love if you were wrong as well (I wasn't suggesting that you were, btw). I have no personal experience yet as I'm just now getting everything installed. I made the stupid assumption of getting the "latest and greatest" would be all sunshine and rainbows....never considering that there might be issues (which is hilarious because I'm a mechanical engineer and deal with quite a bit of beta testing pools). In any case, I hope this gets sorted soon.

Intel 12th generation Alder Lake / Hybrid CPU
@flyize Many in this thread have reported success using QS in these 12th gen Alder Lakes with varying levels of success. It seems to be hit or miss with some people saying they aren't experiencing any problems whatsoever, where others are stating they are having hangs, freezes, and all kinds of problems. I'll probably disable until it's officially supported, but I have been able to get QS to work with initial tests.

Intel 12th generation Alder Lake / Hybrid CPU
@SimonF Please see attached. It appears that everything is working as intended, would you agree? I can't recall what I was looking at that gave me the impression that it wasn't being recognized.

@SimonFFirst of all, thank you very much for taking the time to help (I'm new and confused). See the attached outputs from running the lspci command.

Intel 12th generation Alder Lake / Hybrid CPU
I'm running on RC4 and it doesn't appear to recognize that my nic is capable of 2.5gb. Is there something in particular I have to do?
