  1. Ok, found how to change UUID and everything is good... thanks for the info.
  2. Log states: Jul 26 12:51:49 Tower unassigned.devices: Adding disk '/dev/sdl1'... Jul 26 12:51:49 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount drive command: /sbin/mount -t xfs -o rw,noatime, nodiratime '/dev/sdl1' '/mnt/disks/ST500DM002-1BD142_Z6E6JHFC' Jul 26 12:51:49 Tower kernel: XFS (sdl1): Filesystem has duplicate UUID af97fc56-3528-4125-b30b-215ec979551b - can't mount Jul 26 12:51:49 Tower unassigned.devices: Mount of '/dev/sdl1' failed. Error message: mount: /mnt/disks/ST500DM002-1BD142_Z6E6JHFC: wrong fs type, bad option, bad superblock on /dev/sdl1, missing codepage or helper program, or other error. I'm guessing it's the duplicate UUID? Can I clear that and see the files that were on it? If so, how do I clear it safely? I just need to copy the files off the old disk to the array.
  3. Hi, New to this topic and not sure what I need to do to post my problem. I have been upgrading my unraid machine and swapped out smaller drives to larger ones. At sometime during the swapping I have lost files, entire directory's. I connected one of the old replaced drives and it shows in UD but will not let me mount it.
  4. reiserfsck fixed it, share has all the files in it again. Thanks And how do I mark this as Solved?
  5. Not sure how a user account will help with one share since all shares are public not private. But added a user anyway. I think the problem lies in the file system Saw this in the syslog, along with many others like it. Dec 30 15:25:39 NAS kernel: REISERFS warning: reiserfs-5090 is_tree_node: node level 0 does not match to the expected one 1 (Minor Issues) Dec 30 15:25:39 NAS kernel: REISERFS error (device md3): vs-5150 search_by_key: invalid format found in block 16384002. Fsck? (Errors) Dec 30 15:25:39 NAS kernel: REISERFS (device md3): Remounting filesystem read-only (Drive related) Dec 30 15:25:39 NAS kernel: REISERFS error (device md3): vs-13070 reiserfs_read_locked_inode: i/o failure occurred trying to find stat data of [1893 1918 0x0 SD] (Errors) I ran reiserfsck and it recommended using the --rebuild-tree option on the drive that has most of the files for that share in it. So in about 4 hours I'll know if that helped. thanks
  6. Changed Export to no, and the other entry's are now gone from My Network Places.... Thanks. Unfortunately all the flies under Movies are still blank, but are on the disks. Can I make a new share and move the files under disk1/Movies disk2/movies disk3/movies to it?
  7. After upgrading to version 5.0.4 My original User shares (Documents, Music and Movies) are still there, but now I also have listed in My Network Places on all PC's (DISK1, DISK2, DISK3, DISK4 and DISK5) These are not listed under User shares. I can click on them and see the user folders. On Disk1 under Movies, there are a few listed there. On Disk2 its the same with different movies. So what happened? When I go to the Documents or Music shares from My Network Places they work fine, but if I click on Movies.. It comes up blank (Empty Folder) I don't have any users or passwords, all shares are public. I have UnMenu and SNAP addon's installed. Other than that it's clean. Any ideas? Thanks syslog-2013-12-30.txt
  8. I'm using version: 4.4.2 and have had no problems for years with it. Today I moved a folder with a compressed file to it that was 42 GB. I tried to open the zip file but it was corrupted. I was able to delete the .zip file... But there is also a file called .____padding_file , it's a hidden file. Every time I try to delete or rename it the server spontaneously reboots. I'm not familiar with the console enough to use it to try deleting the file or folder that the file is in. Not sure why deleting a file would cause the server to reboot. Looking for any info on this Thamks
