  1. Ive been having this issue for about a month now but have been just dealing with it but now im tired of it and hope someone can point me in the direction to fix it. If I have Influencer's Mylar plugin installed and reboot my server it will just hang on bootup. Here is the line from the syslog: May 27 06:30:44 Storage sudo: root : TTY=console ; PWD=unknown ; USER=nobody ; COMMAND=/usr/bin/python /usr/local/mylar/Mylar.py -d -p 8089 --datadir /mnt/cache/apps/mylar --nolaunch --pidfile /var/run/mylar/mylar-8089.pid If i remove the plugin file and reboot, then everything will load find. Then i can manually install the plugin and start using it, and it functions correctly.
  2. I set up a spare license i had at my parents house to handle media and downloads but they have decided they no longer want to do any of the downloading and just want it to host the content they already have. I have a need for the Plus license they are currently using so im curious if there is a way for me to move them from Plus to Basic without them losing any data? My initial thought was to copy everything that is currently on that drive onto a new one and remove the license file and see what would happen but i would rather get the correct route from you all before trying anything like that.
  3. I understand this but im trying to get the webserver to actually function first of all. Also, when i run sudo fuser -v port/tcp it only shows one instance of lighttpd on that port. Then if i stop the webserver there are no instances of it
  4. I just installed the web server plugin from the plugin manager and am having some issues getting the server to actually start up. No matter what port i set up on the dashboard when i type: lighttpd -f /etc/lighttpd.conf I get this: 2014-03-29 20:57:11: (network.c.379) can't bind to port: 81 (or any other number) Address already in use My goal is to get plexWatch/Web up and running
  5. I just noticed an issue that i have with the gui, under settings i no longer have icons for Sickbeard, etc. If i manually type in the address of tower/Settings/sickbeard it takes me to the page but that seems like a major issue to me.
  6. We would probably need around 6-10TB of storage
  7. A friend of mine and I both have unRAID servers set up and we are toying with the idea of setting up an offsite box to hold our data just to be safe. My question is this, what is the easiest way for us both to backup our data to this box? We live close enough that the initial transfers can be done on each of our networks but im more so concerned with potential duplicate data. I assume the easiest way would be for each of us to have a separate share on the box and dump data onto it but im not sure what the best route to accomplish that would be. Any insight?
  8. How does one go about checking the cache drive for file system errors? I just had a thought that maybe thats where the issue is as i see errors when the mover is running and the apps that run on the cache drive
  9. So it appears that there was a power flicker while i was running it. I was able to run the reiserfsck --check on all disks and it reported no corruptions. Any suggestions now?
  10. I assume isnt normal behavior but i started running the command as the link in your sig suggested. My telnet session died and when my parents checked the box out it was turned off. I had them turn it back on, however, now i can ping the box but cannot access anything else and it has been 4 hours. Any thoughts on this one?
  11. I just re-started the array and then invoked the mover and noticed some new issues in the syslog. 12. Agreed, however, that box is 4 hours away from me and im a little bit afraid of remotely upgrading it when im not there to fix it if something goes awry
  13. If you look at the syslog to me it appears that having the plugins installed would be the only way to know if the issue is occurring. Maybe im missing something though as im not really sure how to read it in the first place.
  14. I set up a small unRAID Plus server for my parents and am now running into some issues that im hoping you guys can help me solve. Right now the only plugins it is running are SAB, SickBeard, CouchPotato and it has about 2.2TB of free space left. Right now what happens is everything will run just fine for some amount of time and then eventually everything just stops functioning until i stop/start the array. If i try to stop/start any of the applications it mentions a read-only filesystem as an error. It currently has a 1TB, 2TB, 3TB drive in it and a 500G cache drive and no parity. There is 270G, 220G, 1.83TB of space left respectively on each drive. I have added a portion of the syslog as it was too big to attach and it seems to reference some out of space issues even though it clearly is not out of space. If someone needs the entire log let me know and i can email it to them or host it somewhere. Please let me know what my next steps should be EDIT: This box is currently running on rc11 syslog.txt
  15. I installed a handful of plugins and put their data directories on my cache drive. I seem to be running into an issue where I dont have permission to delete leftover stuff that one of the apps downloads. I have chmod 777 the directory, even added the recursive option and I am able to delete whatever is in there. However anything new that gets dumped into those directories i am unable to delete until i chmod it again. Thoughts?
  16. I finally was able to get all of my data transferred to my new unRAID server today and was ready to install my new parity drive when i started experiencing issues. I stopped the array and then the web interface became unresponsive so i verified that all of my plugins were stopped which they were, i ran a lsof | grep /mnt and it returned nothing so i followed the steps to stop the array manually just in case it hadn't done so and then rebooted via telnet. Once it was back up i was able to access unmenu but not the web interface, so i manually shut the array down again and then removed the simple features plugin and then rebooted. Once it came back up i was able to access the web interface just fine, so i verified all simple features stuff was removed from my flash drive and then re-downloaded it and put it back on my flash drive and rebooted. On reboot, i was able to access the SF web interface just fine, so I again attempted to stop my array so I could add my parity disk and everything went unresponsive again. Obviously the issue revolves around the simple features plugin but to be honest I don't understand why it isn't functioning well now. I have run this just fine for almost 2 weeks and have stopped/started the array multiple times, why am i running into these issues now? Even after i remove everything SF related and re-install it the issues come back. Can someone explain this to me?

  18. Title says it all, i have one drive that has 55GB left free, what happens when it fills up?
  19. I agree it doesnt explain my earlier problem, im simply asking if I should change my split lever based on my folder structure. I could really care less which drive the files are on as they are all available on the user share. I just want to make sure i dont run into any issues with it filling one drive completely.
  20. yes TV and Movies are the share names. So should i be at level 3 for tv shows?
  21. ok, as per my previous post then, do I need to switch to Level 3 or is Level 2 where I want to be?
  22. So for Movies/Movie Name/files and TV/Series Name/Season/files i need to run at Level 3? If i switch levels does it reallocate the files accordingly?
  23. Im using Level 2 for the split and my standard folder arrangement is Movies - Movie Name or TV - TV Series - Season
  24. I have all of my shares set up to use High Water and the array has 4 2TB drives in it right now. Drive 1 has been filled up to 96%, Drive 2 to 50%, Drive 3 to 16% and Drive 4 has nothing on it. My question really comes down to why does it keep adding to drive 1 when the other drives havent hit the various levels that high water is supposed to be at?
  25. Im just finishing getting my new unRAID server set up, going to be buying the Pro license tomorrow. Ive been reading up on Influencer's plugins and saw that it says on his support section that your applications share should be set to use the cache disk only. The disk im going to be using for my cache disk is currently in use on another machine until I finish migrating everything over to unRAID and i need it to stay functioning until i complete the migration and can get all of my settings for various apps transferred over to unraid. My question is, can I just install all the applications and then put in the cache drive and tell it to put all apps on the cache drive without causing a problem or do i need to have the cache drive installed and setup correctly before adding the apps for that to work correctly. For reference, this is the info from Influencers recommended configurations section: Plus & Pro Instruction Only Once this has been successful for your plug-ins: Go to the "Shares" tab in the unRAID Webgui Click on the "apps" share Change the "Use Cache Disk" setting to "only" Click "Apply" This will keep your app settings on the cache disk, otherwise the mover script would move them to the array automatically. After this is done, you can access the apps at their respective ports and configure them however you like. You can setup the categories in sab and have it move the finished downloads to your movies or shows share automatically, just make sure to point to the share and not the disk, i.e., /mnt/user/Movies instead of /mnt/disk1/Movies
