  1. I let the VM run until everything happened again and have attached a syslog from when my system was unresponsive as well as diagnostics from that same time. storage-diagnostics-20150629-1111.zip syslog3.zip
  2. Rebuild and parity checks are both complete. Tried running the VM again and my machine became unresponsive again after a while. I forgot to grab a diagnostics report though while it was unresponsive, any other ideas on how to proceed?
  3. No I am not running an unassigned devices plugin , I had a new drive in the machine unassigned. I have also replaced the drive with the errors
  4. It does now, however, that is new and was not there when i created the thread about my instability issues when VMs are running
  5. I ran my VM until my system became unresponsive again today. Attached are diagnostics from when it was unresponsive as well as a syslog from the same time storage-diagnostics-20150626-1409.zip syslog2.zip
  6. It has been hit or miss shutting down from the console. Maybe its the directions im using, maybe not. Is there a good guide on what to do? This is what i have been following http://lime-technology.com/wiki/index.php/Console#To_cleanly_Stop_the_array_from_the_command_line
  7. no it was not it was from after having to reboot the machine after it went unresponsive
  8. Once it happens i can no longer SSH into the machine, access the web interface or browse to the machine through explorer. I also am unable to access any plugins, docker containers or VMs that are running on it
  9. that command works fine. Im not sure how that has anything to do with the instability that my initial issue is
  10. That command did create a zip file in my logs folder so it was not a fatal error
  11. System specs are i7-3770 / 16GB RAM When i type diagnostics on the command line i get this - cp: cannot stat ‘/boot/config/*.conf’: No such file or directory I ran the diagnostics from the Tools menu and have attached that, hopefully they are the same thing storage-diagnostics-20150624-0742.zip
  12. I am running 6 stable and have 1 windows 8 vm running on it. It has 3 cores and up to 4GB of memory. Since upgrading to 6 i noticed that after a while my unraid machine would become unresponsive and i would have to manually power it down. Today i have finally narrowed it down to this happens only when the VM is running as it has yet to happen when the VM is not running. Most recently I was working on the VM until about 5pm and now at 8:30pm my machine is unresponsive. Attached is a syslog from a couple of days ago when this was happening, i thought i had managed to copy it to my flash from the command line before powering off but apparently i did not. If this syslog will not work let me know and i can try to recreate syslog.zip
  13. I removed everything in the plugins folder listed above, rebooted into safe mode to verify things worked. Obviously after removing the dynamix.kvm folder my existing VMs are gone but i can clearly see all of the options on the Add VM page and VM settings pages. I rebooted into regular mode and now things seem to be working. Will start installing plugins one by one to see what happens
  14. Did not happen in safe mode. I do not have a /boot/extra or a /boot/plugins. In /boot/config/plugins i have the following folders. No, i am not currently in Safe mode as everything works fine in safe mode. I found out that if i remove the dynamix.kvm.manager it removes my existing VMs so i put that back in there. No idea with the other dynamix folder is for or if the dockerMan folder is necessary dockerMan - images (folder) - templates (folder) - templates-user (folder) - templates-repos (file) dynamix - dynamix.cfg - parity-check.cron dynamix.kvm.manager - domain.img - dynamix.kvm.manager-2015.01.09.tar.gz - qemu images - various dynamix images
  15. So i removed all plugins and was going to start adding them one by one to see what was causing the issues and im still having the same issues with no plugins installed. Attached is the syslog storage-syslog-20150619-1551.zip
  16. YEs i have, the screens look correct in safe mode. I removed a couple unused plugins and am booting into regular mode now to test.
  17. my bad, i mistakenly thought you meant maintenance mode. Here are diagnostics from safe mode storage-diagnostics-20150619-1510.zip
  18. Attached are the diagnostics you requested storage-diagnostics-20150619-1454.zip
  19. I have no issues with recreating the VMs however, i feel like something else is not right. I have attached screenshots from the Add VM screen and the VM settings screens as they look to me anyway like they are missing a lot of stuff.
  20. Re-attaching syslog storage-syslog-20150619-1433.zip
  21. I had been running on 6b15 for a while with no issues and then today took the plunge to go up to 6 stable. I noticed once i got into the web interface that my VMs were offline so i attempted to start them only to be greeted by a message stating "Error: invalid argument could not find capabilities for arch=x86_64 domaintype=(null)" but couldnt really find anything on here about that. I attempted to create a new VM and ran into another issue where once I click the Add VM button i am greeted with a page that allows me to name it but the Template Settings do not load. Attached is my syslog storage-syslog-20150619-1433.zip
  22. Scratch that - its doing a data rebuild on 7 now. Next question, since it appears that 12 is working as it is supposed to and there were no smart errors, what is everyone's opinion on it moving forward. I think there are only 3 options here 1. I have 1 more spare drive, i could always swap 12 out for the new spare and data rebuild again. After that i could pre-clear the old 12 and then run some tests on it, if its good i put it back in. 2. I smash it with a hammer.... 3. Leave it alone in the array
  23. Followed bjp999's instructions: I was able to view data on drive 12 through the dashboard so i stopped the array, removed disk 7, started in maintenance mode, stopped, assigned a new disk to disk 7 and started the array. I have been waiting at Mounting Drives now for about 10 minutes so hopefully that clears up soon. If not, whats the next step?
  24. Im waiting to hear from anyone else on the best course of action. If i dont hear anything within the hour then i will move forward with bjp999's suggestion
  25. Im running on v6 b15. Disk 12 was my only xfs drive as i had just added it a month or so ago and didnt realize it hadn't formatted it in xfs. I have backed up the config directory Do we need to be concerned that disk 12 is now showing up as something other than disk 12?
