Solutions

  1. The Transplant's post in Unraid ui not working through IP but ok through server.local? was marked as the answer   
    I run on Macs - and I notice the issue doesn't happen on all of my Macs.  It appears to be something local to the Mac as I was able to resolve it by restarting and clearing cache.  Presumably some local service failed.  Not really sure.
  2. The Transplant's post in VMs really slow - need help diagnosing was marked as the answer   
    So I found the problem.  My cache SSD was failing and did fail.  I am sure there is some way for me to have seen this coming.  But I didn't see any errors and I didn't see anything connecting the speed of the VM with an imminent failure on the cache drive.
