Thanks for the comprehensive response @opentoe In two minds but eventually didn't go for the EVGA as it was only at gold standard whereas the others were at platinum. I did go for the 750i Corsair, which may be a mistake based on your experiences, I am not sure. I've had only a couple of corsairs and they are still going beyond 5years, so hopefully this one is better still. I am also not sure how good seasonics support is in the UK? Hi there I am trying to replace my current PSU: Coolermaster Silent Pro 600W with something more suited to my new rig. After searching the site I note that Corsair AX Series, Corsair HX750i 80 Plus Platinum 850W Power Supply, EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply = £99 Corsair CP-9020072-UK Professional Platinum Series HX750i ATX/EPS 750W Power Supply Unit = £119 Corsair Professional Series AX 760 Watt ATX/EPS Fully Modular 80 PLUS Platinum Power Supply = £139 Seasonic P660 660W 80+ Platinum Certified Full Modular Power Supply = £133 I am looking to eventually max out the drives and a small passively cooled graphics card to pass through to a windows VM, although not really for gaming. Although I like Corsairs, I am leaning towards the EVGA for its on offer price and 10 year warranty. Would apprecaite some guidance please. Many thanks

Thats what I thought initially, but then I could change to latest and update, then change back to plexpass and it would update and load Plex fine. If I kept on plexpass it was as though it was trying to download an unknown version and just hung there. I can get around it, but am not convinced it is Plex servers. Edit: Update this morning of the container, allow plexpass to run fine so far

I get exactly the same your the plexpass version. It works using latest, but that uses the latest version for non plexpass users, so plex immediately tells me there is an update to download. Is there an issue get access to download the plexpass version?

Thanks both. I have amazon delivering me another board tomorrow as the memory replacement did not work. There are a couple of working servers using this same setup, so although the memory is not on the list, it appears to work; https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=37567.0 http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/b/qbJV3C#cx1432701 I appreciate 2 are not exactly conclusive, but the memory also appears on amazon as 'often' bought with this board. Again not conclusive but odd. It also shows up as micron memory when I do a memory test; which concludes fine with 2 slots taken. Will see how the board swap goes tomorrw. Hopefully all will be well. Hi all Anyone help me with an odd issue please. Updated my system this evening to the following; Supermicro X10SL7-F, Xeon E3-1231v3, 32g (4xCT2KIT102472BD160B) With slot 1+2 populated with the 8g crucuals then everything boots fine and looks well. When I add to slots 3+4 with the additional crucials I get 4 beeps and it stops at 55 on boot Never had a supermicro before so going to sleep on it and try again in the morning, unless someone can show me the error of my ways please I have swapped the crucual modules and they all boot when slots 1+2 are populated but same error 55 when any of the crucuals go in slots 3+4. Bios is at v3 Thanks in advance

Hi I have been struggling for a while trying to solve my problem and I could do with some help please. I am trying to login to my second unraid with my local user and I get thrown out each time on telnet. I am on v6.1.6 and have added the user via the gui, including a password and can connect to shares using that username and password. If I try to login via telnet I get; Linux 4.1.13-unRAID. 1 failure since last login. Last was Fri Jan 15 12:21:08 2016 on /dev/pts/0. Connection closed by foreign host. syslog.txt

Is there an AMD alternative motherboard series to this at all to go with the FX8370E? Unfortunately the AM3+ chipsets are all fairly ancient, the 970 is the most recent and it only has 6 SATAs. Best on the AMD side is 8 ports on A88X, but it's FM2+ and they don't support ECC. I have used the Asus A88X Gamer board, which is really nice for UnRAID - 8x SATA ports, Intel i211 NIC, and onboard video, plenty of fan headers, and good power consumption. Its been some time since your post, but I am just a late starter Can you clarify please, do I need to add the variable to the variable list and set its value to 1, as that doesn't seem to make any differance to what is pulled. I dont seem to have the variable at all when I enable advanced settings. Thanks in advance

Hi there, thanks for the info, I didn't realise the git web guy wasn't good to use at the moment; its been ok until now. I can ping and logon to the server to get a shell and have tried the commands to restart the gui, with no success. I've also tried booting into safe mode but the gui doesn't appear.

Hi I've had an issue with a recently fine setup, that the server would boot, but I could not get the web gui to work at all. I've checked the logs and seen there were issues with /boot /dev/sda and it needed fsck. I copied my config to a new stick and removed all plugins except the latest webgui from git. My server boots and I now have no errors in the log. I still cannot get the guy though (even after removing the webgui plain from git) Thanks for any help dmesg.txt syslog.txt

Yes data seems to be writing back to the previously 'formatted' drive (now seen as a replaced drive). I just don't see how that would be if parity didn't have that data to recover; or have I misunderstood how the data recreation works. I thought formatting would allow the disk to be recreated because I don't have another 2tb drive to replace it.

Is it possible the disk went offline again before the format was actioned? I went to put the disk 3 back in the array and go into maintenance mode, where it said the disk was replaced and a data rebuild was to be done. There are alot of writes going on for the disk 3, does that mean data is being written back to it, or does that happen regardless? Damn I'm such a noob at this!!

Array is stopped at the moment, trying to source a machine to read this disk ....

:'( Ok thanks. The disk appears fine, well it passed a short smartcrtl test. Shows a previous error waking up from sleep. Where do I run option 2, from unraid telnet? If I can't get the data, how do I get the disk back into the array? Thanks

Abuse accepted Not sure a reiser check is going to help me, as the disk has been formatted again. I dont want to touch anything without some guidance I was hoping I could get a trust parity recover going ...
