I had a water leak and fried my motherboard a couple months ago during a rebuild I migrated my stuff to a new tower, (Without water cooling), new motherboard. I am trying to get the server rolling again. It appears not all of my drives are recognized. I am running 16 drives through my HBA 1 drive through sata on board. Where should I start my trouble shooting? do I have bad drives? bad cables? tower-diagnostics-20241021-2029.zip

When I use the Dynamix File Manager, and move the files/folders from lost+found to Media It wants to move the files from the Disk5 to cache, then back to disk5 via mover. Is there anyways to essentially change the directory without all of this file moving?

No backups But, if I know the name of the files, I can acquire them again with minimal effort. I will see what I can recover, and go from there.

1. I used unbalance to move some files over, there is 100Gb free space available now 2. 1. The lost+found must of been from Jan 13, but I didnt think I lost these files, but very well could be, How do I move them back to the file system? I tried: Putting it into maintenance mode, checking file system, then removing the -n to repair the file system, it appears to work. (Sorry new to this) Appears to have lots of files in lost and found, how to clean this up, or capture it? 2. I changed the Docker custom network type from macvlan to ipvlan and restarted the server, the issue seems resolved. tower-diagnostics-20240206-1147.zip

Being it was a power Cable, I was able to rebuild the array, however now, I have missing files, mostly video files. What is the best way to recover, or rescan a drive to find files. Disk 5, 6, and 8 appear to be affected. tower-diagnostics-20240205-1837.zip

It was a bad power cable on the missing device I just replaced both drives and rebuilt the array. (Parity 1 and Disk For next time is there any way to recover that drive (Disk 8)?

I was recently doing a parity check, and my drives were reading at a crazy slow drive, (1-10 MBps) I tried stopping all dockers, figured stopping the activity would fix that. Then restart the parity check, then my Parity 1 and Disk 8 "Device is Disable contents emulated" I was going to restart my machine, see if that helps (was going to put it into maintenance mode,) but then my power supply kicks the bucket. I replace the power supply, double check my cables and turn it on Now Disk 6 is "missing". I turn off machine, swap sata cables with disk 3, verify power cable is plugged in. Still Disk 6 is missing with known working cable. What is the best path moving forward to fix this. tower-diagnostics-20240204-1520.zip

I recently had Disk5 HDD Failed and Disk6 "Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system". I had some issues, unclean shutdown (Likely unrelated) I swapped both drives and rebuilt the array. Now Disk5, Disk6, Disk8 are "Unmountable: Unsupported or no file system" I feel certain the data on Disk8 is still physically there, and I believe Disk5 and Disk6 are as well after the rebuild The drives in the rebuild were reading/writing at full speed for the rebuild. Thoughts, if I had data lost, it wouldn't be a big deal, as its mostly downloaded movies/tv shows for the plex server, but it would be nice to not have to redownload 42TB of movies/TV shows. Tried the HBA in my current computer, nothing registers, im thinking faulty HBA

So update, still having issues, I replaced the motherboard, and I didn't need to install this HBA till today. (I replaced the motherboard for other issues, figured it was the motherboard giving me issues.) My new board is Gigabyte Z590 Vision G I expanded more HDDs in the unraid, and my HBA wont recognize any of the drives. When I go into the BIOS, in my 3 pcie slots, the 1st slot speed says 16x, 2nd slot 4x, doesnt recongize my 3rd slot, where my HBA is, my 2 GPUs are in the first 2 slots. When I look in the manual, there is no place to change settings for PCI speed, figured it must be automatic. Suggestions on where to look next? tower-diagnostics-20230821-2240.zip

I am changing the motherboard on my unraid plex server. I am migrating the GPUs, CPU, hard drives, HBA, etc over. Is there anything I need to do to prep before executing this?

Hey, so concluded it was a corruptor database, so I deleted the database so it could rebuild it. It build the database up, and I am able to connect to the server with my Iphone app,(across the internet) and web browser ( same network tower/port (web GUI), however, it does not using the web app app.plex.tv. It just wont load that server, unable to find it. Suggestions? NVM I got it to worked. Some port forwarding issue. Resolved, thanks

I found out how to find the log, this error comes up in the log: Error: Unable to set up server: sqlite3_statement_backend::prepare: file is not a database for SQL: PRAGMA cache_size=512 (N4soci10soci_errorE)

on my unraid dashboard page, it says its started. However, when I go to open webUI, nothing opens Normally my plex server would also be accessible at this point, in this case, it is not. In terms of errors, nothing has popped up, but I dont know where to check. the dashboard page says it has "started"

I made a mistake of setting my appdata to write to the HDD, instead of prefer cache. Then my Plex quit working. I realized my mistake and started to reverse my mistake. I am thinking its a PCIe Slot not working. I will get 2x M.2 5 Port Sata Jmb585 Chipset, since my board has PCI to both M.2 And my NVME cache drive, I will get a usb enclosure End result is the same. Close enough for performance, as I am bottlenecked by 1 Gbit internet/ethernet regardless.

Being my server has water cooled gpu and cpu with rigid pex tubing, not feasible. So I took my current PC, removed the GPU, and put the card in it. It does not have a board explorer in BIOS, and the BIOS isnt helpful. I loaded windows 11 and opened device manager, under IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller, its lists: Standard SATA AHCI Controller, PCI Bus 0 (Which is the first slot I put the LSI in) "This device is working properly" Standard SATA AHCI Controller, PCI Bus 5 (I presume is the on board Sata controller) "This device is working properly" I have 1 hard drive plugged into the LSI, no hard drives show up. Suggestions? LSI firmware need to be flashed?

It appears on these chipset that is not the case. The NVME will split with the SATA, but the x4 PCIe is always dedicated The x16 GPU split to x8 and x8, and the 3rd spot is x4 I am leaning towards possible faulty hardware, as the hardware explore showed it as "empty" not "disabled"

Hoopster: Thats essentially what I read, that the PCI x8 gen 2 will work in my PCI x4 gen 3 slot, with the note of lack of performance for SSD and I am running HDDs. I also have limitations of 1 Gbit Network the bigger bottleneck in my system, and I use it as a Plex Server mostly. However I am still trying to get my card to work. I wonder if its a bad card, or a setting on my bios, but I can not find anything regarding it
