    Yes, i'm also afraid its not going to be happen. Bit pity though, I really think this is a good thing for unRAID to sell it self. If Tom has no time for this kind of stuff let the community take care of it. We all are enthusiastic users.

    Hmm, yes i can confirm this by myself. He replied by mail when i purchased a pro license. I had a question when he planned to release 5.0 beta.

    I'm using 2 2TB Western Digital drives (EARS advanced format), and it is running fine. I've jumpered pin 7-8. You indeed have to purchase some jumpers.

    Has nobody a close connection to Tom? At some point it is to much work for one guy, and this isn't good for unRAID. Isn't it better to let maintain the website and forum by a Hero forum member(s) with Tom as administrator?

    Hi, How about a blog on the front page of Limetech or a link to a blog with information whats going on at the moment, announce new versions of unRAID, make pols etc. This could be administrated by a hero member who has a close connection with Limetech. So Limetech does not have to deal with this stuff, and can focus on development. I also think it is good to show on the front page how active this community is. What do you unRAID users think, and what do you think Limetech?

    I can see the share onto my tvix, but it don't show any files... When i mount the share over CIFS I have no problems. Anyone any idea?

    Hi, Probably i overlook something, and my mate also. For some reason we don't get NFS shares working. Settings: setting--> NFS --> enable NFS "yes" main --> disk --> NFS security settings --> Export "yes", security, "public" shares --> share --> NFS security settings --> Export "yes", security "public" With these settings I cannot mount any NFS shares on my media player. Someone any idea what I overlook? Thank you.

    Thanks for the feedback bjp999. So it has Load_Cycle_Count, Temperature_Celsius errors (error 195 is not listed). This is the first time i'm dealing with s.m.a.r.t data. I'm correct? I also attach the s.m.a.r.t output. What do you think? The smart report you attached is NOT from the same disk as the smart excerpts you posted. It shows none of the re-allocated sectors or events. Did I? Hmm, I'm not at home right now. When i'm at home i will check again. Sorry I wasted your time Joe L.

    Hi, I need some help from a experienced user. Today i had my first errors on one of my 1TB drives. What is my next move? Test the drive? Remove the drive from the array? RMA? Thank you. I'm using unRAID 5.0 Beta 2. All important stuff is backed up. syslog:

    Guys can you keep me posted. I'm also interested in this setup. I want to build a new unRAID machine next year. Maybe i have to build a ESXi machine and run all my physical server on the ESXi machine. A guide is indeed very nice!

    To be honest I'm not in hurry. I'll rather wait longer, and have a good solution. Of course unRAID has to support 4k drives in the future also drives >2TB.

    For the record the Guys from FreeNAS made there appliance compatible with the 4k drives.

    Where do you find a 18 port controller? Did a quick search, but can find any. :'( Mostly 8 ports. Only sas expanders have more ports.

    I did not read this topic completely, but has someone ever thought about using 18 ports (6 ports onto mobo) controller with this mobo in combination with the Norco RPC-4224?

    btw Limetech can you not give us a update in the announcement thread how thing go with version 5.x. So everyone knows whats going on, and not accidentally read your answer in some thread. Just a idea.
