  1. Just to update. Since yesterday I have contacted my ISP. And voila, it seems they had done some changes a few weeks back, not letting me know about it. So they had to make a quick fix on their side and all is working again now. I now have the same WAN IP on my router as I have on the internet. Anyhoot thanks for the tips above @ljm42. I was aware my setup was not very safe I will definitively try to use it as "intended". One question in that regard though. Now that I have access to Unraid, and also a few of the dockers I want to access remotely, will setting it up in the "intended" way with certificates and VPN make it harder for me to connect remotely? If I have to install SSL certificates and the likes on the remote computers it is a problem for me, as I want to be able to login to these few dockers and Unraid from my work computer. This works now, and i am not allowed to install anything on the work computer.
  2. Hi. I took a look at my router settings. I had my DNS server setup to point to my pi-hole. I now removed this and pointed it to Google DNS instead: I don't know if this should matter at all, but after changing these settings. I rebootet my Unraid server and also my router. Still the same issue is there. I have also setup WAN - DDNS in my router if this could have any importance. I would just like to add that I had remote access before the update even with these settings. As far as I know I do not use any VPN. Any more tips on what I could check to figure this out?
  3. The following error: I think I came from the 6.12.4 version. Wow about the WAN IP - it is actually wrong. Checking on WHats My IPAdress both the Unraid reported IP and the real IP start with 79. so I missed that they are the same. How the heck does this happen? Diagnostics uploaded. Any help appreciated... tower-diagnostics-20231230-2113.zip
  4. Hi, all. Getting quite frustrated. I can not connect remotely anymore through the app or anywhere. It seems I can not reach the few dockers I have exposed either so I don't understand the problem. It all worked perfectly before the update. These are my settings: And these: Is there anything obvious I am missing? Also I have a asus GT-AC5300 router so I have setup it up as a DDNS Client so I have my own "hostname" i usually access my stuff remotely from but none work. I am not really great at networking so I understand I might be missing something here, anything would be greatly appreciated. And happy New year to all of you celebrating that now.
  5. Hi @xsweb. Nice to have a fellow PowerWalker with me. I was just going to write to @Rysz right now because mine started up again by magic: As it is fresh in my memory I will post excactly what I did. 1. Turned off the server (I still hadd NUTS installed, so this time I did not unistall it) 2. Change USB port (again) 3. Fired up Unraid, and tried to start NUTS to no avail. At this point my NUTS settings was like on the picture EXCEPT that "Enable Manual Config" was set to "something like UPS Device" (I don't remember the excact wording and I will not shut it down to find out :)). 4. The next I did was: Reset Config 5. I forgot to do Auto Config 6. I still did not work. 7. The ONLY thing I changed then was "Enable Maual Configuration" to "NO". And voila, it is working again. Lets hope it lasts this time. Give it a try and GOOD luck. @Rysz If you want to take a look at my config now, it is available, just let me know.
  6. Thanks for suggestion. Reset and reboot did nothing. I have not added anything to the config file, neither did I do this when I got it working on the first try. (Should something be added here? Logfile does not have as many errors now, but Driver fails to start. 7. Hi. I am brand new to NUTS and Unraid, but my Unraid server is up and running with most of what I need running on it, so it was time to get the UPS up and running. I have Powerwalker VI 1200 up and running. A week ago I installed NUTS, and got it up and running straight off the bat. But a few days ago it had stopped which I noticed since the Page Footer was no longer showing. I get the following message when trying to start it: NUT was not able to start successfully - please check the SYSLOG for more information. Log file says: Nov 7 02:08:02 Tower kernel: PMS LoudnessCmd[21473]: segfault at 0 ip 0000147258511080 sp 000014725394a0c8 error 4 in libswresample.so.4[147258509000+18000] likely on CPU 2 (core 2, socket 0) Nov 7 02:08:02 Tower kernel: Code: 01 cf 4c 39 c7 72 e3 c3 cc cc 8d 04 49 48 98 4d 89 c1 49 29 c1 48 63 c2 48 63 c9 49 39 f9 76 75 f2 0f 10 05 02 05 ff ff 66 90 <0f> bf 16 0f 57 c9 f2 0f 2a ca f2 0f 59 c8 f2 0f 11 0f 0f bf 14 06 Nov 7 02:08:04 Tower root: Updating permissions for NUT... PS: Where is the configfile for NUT located?
  8. I have not really started looking. My setup today on HW is: i7-9700K 32GB Ram Very old no good for transcoding passive GPU from AMD I read my CPU can du HW transcoding, but I need to test how well it works. I don't think I will ever need more than 1 transcoding job at a time, so I don't want to waste money or produce more heat in my server than necessary.
  9. @Ricardo Maranhao did you get an answer somewhere to this question? I would also like to know what I need to backup to be able to restore the most necessary files for a working Unraid setup. Is it only the appdata that is needed or is there other things? I have a bunch of containers running and in the future there might be a VM or two.
  10. Hi @Charlie24 what did you end up with? I would like to go with a cheeper option then your suggested card myselves, but did you find any good guides on this?
  11. Thanks @JorgeB. You made me recheck and you are right. If other noobs like me come around I made it even clearer with adding the following image:
  12. Hi. On my 3rd day of testing Unraid, and so far I am blown away by the possibilites. Awesome stuff. Anyhoot now I was trying to "Allow Remote Access", but after signing in to my Trial account (that shortly will be upgraded) I get the message the following message from the Unraid Connect setting under "Settings": Allow Remote Access: Disabled until you provision a myunraid.net SSL Cert So how do I get this SSl Cert or do I need the paid version to get this? Would really like to test out this functionality before my final decisision is made. PS: Do I have to reboot the server after I logged in to "unraid.net"? (I have not done that yet.) Thanks for any help.
