  1. Thanks for this I've got the same problem with a Z890 Tomahawk. Hopefully it works for me too.
  2. Fixed it today! Hopefully the 20 or so resets wouldn't of damaged anything, It all looks great and boots every time. Solution; In the bios make the following changes; Security → Secure Boot → Secure Boot → Disabled Boot → TOS Boot First → Disabled VT-d > Disabled. Thank you @PPH we posted at the same time. It should help anyone else who gets this NAS.
  3. Last post for tonight. I disabled docker and copied all my files over *just*. It was crashing the whole server about every 5 minutes and by the end the server was trying to auto boot about 6 times in a row before it started (where's before it was two times max and on for hours without issue). On the TOS 6 setup now and not one crash. So got no idea what happened. I guess I'm forced to learn a new OS and hope its as good, a shame since I had the pro licence.
  4. It's crashing all the time now. I'm struggling to get my files off. Nightmare.
  5. Hi, I'll try that and see. I could access the drives and files fine and performance speed seemed seems great so I hope hardware is ok. The Terramaster TOS 6 OS operated fine as far as I could see, but I didn't spend an extensive amount of time with it.
  6. Hi all. Seem to be having a nightmare getting Unraid working. Considering going back to the TOS 6 operating system, but it would be a shame since I have a pro lifetime licence that worked him on my last server. So the problem is boot seems unstable, takes maybe 3-4 attempts to get in. Then once I setup Sonarr or SABnzb they were crashing the system completely once a file had finished downloading and Sonarr tried to import the file (it worked a couple of times ok, but most times would reset the system). Apart from docker use, shares all seemed stable. I thought before I try to sort that I'd try and sort the boot out. This is the message it hangs on; I think the error message can change but this is a common one; Any help would be appreciated. I did read reviews saying people were using this system flawlessly with Unraid so not sure what I'm dong wrong, but I'm a little out my depth. I did try formatting usb and creating a new USB but that didn't solve the problem From a working boot I restarted it and got these 3 screens. It then restarted itself and didnt launch;
  7. Thank you I'll do that next time. I restarted my device, seemed to take quite a while to boot, but once it did all SSDs were detected! :)
  8. Hi all. Recently changed my nas to a F8 Terramaster all ssd NAS. Had an issue bringing my pro USB key from old nas over. So had to format it and reinsert. The problem is 4 of my NVMEs (of eight) arnt detected in Unraid only. All eight are seen in the motherboard bios and same when I tried the TOS 6 operating system. Not sure if there's something left on the drives from that OS that would stop four of them been detected. I'm pretty much a novice, so not sure what steps to take in Unraid so that it can see all eight drives? I haven't set up an array/pool or anything yet. I can just see from assign devices only four are available to select.
  9. Thank you all. I'm glad I went with the Lexar NM790 in the end (with heatsink). No dram cache but performs well and has really good TBW value. That's also what I'm using for my 4tb Cache/App Data as well at the moment, and no issues so far.
  10. Hi. I currently have a 4tb nvme drive for App Data and Downloads. I decided I'm going to buy two NVMEs for App Data (and mirror them). Just a quick question really, will NVMe speed matter for this? Or shall I just go for two budget ones? (i.e gen 3). Or would there be any benefit going for more premium ones? Will qlc/tlc and having DRAM make much of a difference in this use case? Happy to pay more if it will make a difference, but don't want to waste money either. I only plan on running Jellyfin, Swag, Radarr, Sonarr etc.
  11. Hi all. Got a problem I can't seem to solve. I restarted my server When I booted it back up the option for Dockers on the Unraid Home Screen was gone (and all reference to them). Luckily all the data was still there. Not sure why it did that, but if I went into settings and Docker from Yes to No, it returned them all (including the docker header from the main menu). The Only problem is Jellyfin has blurred images for everything but the cast and crew now. Also it won't play anything, I try and it just comes up with "Fatal Playback Error" now for everything. Videos, images and metadata are all still there in the media folder. No idea what to do to resolve, do I need to do something more than Dockers Off to On in the settings? All my other docker containers appear to be working fine (Radarr, Sonarr. Swag etc). If it makes a difference my 4tb Cache drive, that holds the Jellyfin app data as well as the media download folder was pretty full. I've had the mover running for the last 5 hours, just to see if it was related to that. Edit: Oh I think I've solved it, for some reason it changed the location of where it was looking for my media libraries.
  12. Yeah 4tb Nvme. I've had download running all night, and its only filling up marginally at 80% download speed. I've got none stop downloading for the next few weeks, but after that it will return to almost nothing and I'll be able to set the speed back up higher. I keep getting this notice in Sonarr, but I'm not sure why as everything appears to be working correctly. I must have some setting slightly wrong? "Remote download client SABnzbd places downloads in /data/Complete but this is not a valid Windows path. Review your remote path mappings and download client settings." Edit: That warning message is gone now, without any changes. Before I only saw it when the Cache got full. Perhaps it's a sign when a file fails to be grabbed, very occasionally. Edit 2: And its back again a minute after I wrote this lol.
  13. Thank you, I'll look into those. At the moment Ive reduced my download speed from 135MBs to 99MBs and its very close to downloading at the rate its also transferring. I think this might actually be a good long term option, as it keeps bandwidth free for other users/activities, rather than full utilisation to nothing constantly etc.
  14. I've got everything setup now as @ConnerVT described. Also Installed the Back Up App Data plug in. It's downloading and unpacking well, its just transferring over that is causing a build up. Presuming there's no way to speed up that transfer, is it best to limit my download speed in line with the grabbing off files onto the array? If I left as is, in a few hours the cache would fill up because the download rate is too fast.
  15. Brilliant, thank you both. I'll do that now.
