First time setup - not getting IP addresses
Thanks for this I've got the same problem with a Z890 Tomahawk. Hopefully it works for me too.

Having loads of issues with Unraid and Terramaster FF8 Pro SSD NAS
Fixed it today! Hopefully the 20 or so resets wouldn't of damaged anything, It all looks great and boots every time. Solution; In the bios make the following changes; Security → Secure Boot → Secure Boot → Disabled Boot → TOS Boot First → Disabled VT-d > Disabled. Thank you @PPH we posted at the same time. It should help anyone else who gets this NAS.

Having loads of issues with Unraid and Terramaster FF8 Pro SSD NAS
Last post for tonight. I disabled docker and copied all my files over *just*. It was crashing the whole server about every 5 minutes and by the end the server was trying to auto boot about 6 times in a row before it started (where's before it was two times max and on for hours without issue). On the TOS 6 setup now and not one crash. So got no idea what happened. I guess I'm forced to learn a new OS and hope its as good, a shame since I had the pro licence.

It's crashing all the time now. I'm struggling to get my files off. Nightmare.

Having loads of issues with Unraid and Terramaster FF8 Pro SSD NAS
Hi, I'll try that and see. I could access the drives and files fine and performance speed seemed seems great so I hope hardware is ok. The Terramaster TOS 6 OS operated fine as far as I could see, but I didn't spend an extensive amount of time with it.

Having loads of issues with Unraid and Terramaster FF8 Pro SSD NAS
Hi all. Seem to be having a nightmare getting Unraid working. Considering going back to the TOS 6 operating system, but it would be a shame since I have a pro lifetime licence that worked him on my last server. So the problem is boot seems unstable, takes maybe 3-4 attempts to get in. Then once I setup Sonarr or SABnzb they were crashing the system completely once a file had finished downloading and Sonarr tried to import the file (it worked a couple of times ok, but most times would reset the system). Apart from docker use, shares all seemed stable. I thought before I try to sort that I'd try and sort the boot out. This is the message it hangs on; I think the error message can change but this is a common one; Any help would be appreciated. I did read reviews saying people were using this system flawlessly with Unraid so not sure what I'm dong wrong, but I'm a little out my depth. I did try formatting usb and creating a new USB but that didn't solve the problem From a working boot I restarted it and got these 3 screens. It then restarted itself and didnt launch;

Not all of my NVMes detected.
Thank you I'll do that next time. I restarted my device, seemed to take quite a while to boot, but once it did all SSDs were detected! :)

Not all of my NVMes detected.
Hi all. Recently changed my nas to a F8 Terramaster all ssd NAS. Had an issue bringing my pro USB key from old nas over. So had to format it and reinsert. The problem is 4 of my NVMEs (of eight) arnt detected in Unraid only. All eight are seen in the motherboard bios and same when I tried the TOS 6 operating system. Not sure if there's something left on the drives from that OS that would stop four of them been detected. I'm pretty much a novice, so not sure what steps to take in Unraid so that it can see all eight drives? I haven't set up an array/pool or anything yet. I can just see from assign devices only four are available to select.

NVME Drive for App Data only, worth buying premium or budget one?
Thank you all. I'm glad I went with the Lexar NM790 in the end (with heatsink). No dram cache but performs well and has really good TBW value. That's also what I'm using for my 4tb Cache/App Data as well at the moment, and no issues so far.

NVME Drive for App Data only, worth buying premium or budget one?
Hi. I currently have a 4tb nvme drive for App Data and Downloads. I decided I'm going to buy two NVMEs for App Data (and mirror them). Just a quick question really, will NVMe speed matter for this? Or shall I just go for two budget ones? (i.e gen 3). Or would there be any benefit going for more premium ones? Will qlc/tlc and having DRAM make much of a difference in this use case? Happy to pay more if it will make a difference, but don't want to waste money either. I only plan on running Jellyfin, Swag, Radarr, Sonarr etc.

Powercut took away dockers & Introduced Jellyfin errors.
Hi all. Got a problem I can't seem to solve. I restarted my server When I booted it back up the option for Dockers on the Unraid Home Screen was gone (and all reference to them). Luckily all the data was still there. Not sure why it did that, but if I went into settings and Docker from Yes to No, it returned them all (including the docker header from the main menu). The Only problem is Jellyfin has blurred images for everything but the cast and crew now. Also it won't play anything, I try and it just comes up with "Fatal Playback Error" now for everything. Videos, images and metadata are all still there in the media folder. No idea what to do to resolve, do I need to do something more than Dockers Off to On in the settings? All my other docker containers appear to be working fine (Radarr, Sonarr. Swag etc). If it makes a difference my 4tb Cache drive, that holds the Jellyfin app data as well as the media download folder was pretty full. I've had the mover running for the last 5 hours, just to see if it was related to that. Edit: Oh I think I've solved it, for some reason it changed the location of where it was looking for my media libraries.

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
Yeah 4tb Nvme. I've had download running all night, and its only filling up marginally at 80% download speed. I've got none stop downloading for the next few weeks, but after that it will return to almost nothing and I'll be able to set the speed back up higher. I keep getting this notice in Sonarr, but I'm not sure why as everything appears to be working correctly. I must have some setting slightly wrong? "Remote download client SABnzbd places downloads in /data/Complete but this is not a valid Windows path. Review your remote path mappings and download client settings." Edit: That warning message is gone now, without any changes. Before I only saw it when the Cache got full. Perhaps it's a sign when a file fails to be grabbed, very occasionally. Edit 2: And its back again a minute after I wrote this lol.

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
Thank you, I'll look into those. At the moment Ive reduced my download speed from 135MBs to 99MBs and its very close to downloading at the rate its also transferring. I think this might actually be a good long term option, as it keeps bandwidth free for other users/activities, rather than full utilisation to nothing constantly etc.

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
I've got everything setup now as @ConnerVT described. Also Installed the Back Up App Data plug in. It's downloading and unpacking well, its just transferring over that is causing a build up. Presuming there's no way to speed up that transfer, is it best to limit my download speed in line with the grabbing off files onto the array? If I left as is, in a few hours the cache would fill up because the download rate is too fast.

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
Brilliant, thank you both. I'll do that now.

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
Thank you for taking the time to explain all that, great for someone new to Unraid like myself. I'll copy your setup and see how I get on. All my downloading now is done via the Arrs too. I haven't actually ever touched the System folder share, so it's just on the Array so that's an easy change (not sure what it does tbh). Last question if its ok With Appdata, System being on Cache only, should there be any files I'm backing up else where so its protected in case of failure? As you can tell I'm new to this!

Best downloading setup for Radarr and Sonarr
Hi all. I see there's a few way's to set up the downloading paths for Sonarr/Radarr via Sabnzb to the media directory. (Ram unpacking, direct to array, direct to cache drive, then moved over. Shares can also be on primary and secondary locations and invoked with mover etc (I have a download share, and the media directory share). Then there's Hardlinking etc So what would be the optimum path for me? I have 32gb ram, 4tb Nvme Gen 4 cache drive and 120tb Hard Drive Array with parity. Internet connection can go to 135MBs. However I set it up I seem to have bottle necks that bring everything to a hault after a few hours or downloading straight to the array which is superslow. 4tb cache is pretty big for normal use, but at the moment I need to download TB's of data daily.

Removing Disc Drive from an array + transferring content
Hi all. Newbie here. I want to remove a disc from the array but first I need to make sure the content of that disc is transferred to the other discs in the array. Is there an easy way to do this process?

Lets Encrypt Expiry notice
Sorted. Kind of an odd one. I changed the ports on Swag but it failed to apply, re-input the custom ports I already had and it must of sent a new request or something, because its all working now!

Lets Encrypt Expiry notice
Hi all. I have a setup Unraid + Jellyfin. Users connect outside the home network on a reverse proxy using Swag. All has being running great for the last two months. A few days ago I got an email saying Lets Encrypt was expiring. Today I can't use the Jellyfin app on my phone and several clients can no longer connect. I can connect outside the network using chrome, but it says my website is unsafe. Unraid, Jellyfin, Duck DNS and Swag have being updated and restarted when required. My Swag log seems to be showing errors, but I've no idea what it means (I had a lot of guidance setting this up). Can anyone tell me what I need to do to renew this certifcate? Here is the Swag log, *log removed*

New Unraid OS License Pricing, Timeline, and FAQs
As a new user, I probably wouldn't have gone for the new pricing model either. It's great that we will be grandfathered in, but I do worry about the long term health now new users will very likely reduce significantly. I'd of rather looked at reducing costs of the business and having much slower updates, plus all the other extra monitization ideas floated in this thread.

Announcing New Unraid OS License Keys
Ultimately yes per person will be paying more, but will this cover the loss of new sign ups put off by the new model? The extra features added would have to be amazing, and well above the competition, thus draining the pot another way. At the moment LT seem to be stuck in a cycle of having to spend on marketing to afford the current operation. Perhaps the better option would be to scale back the business costs, and produce updates slower with a much smaller team (or even subsidised hobbiests). Natural growth by good will would likely bring in just as many new customers as through expensive advertising.

Announcing New Unraid OS License Keys
Even the basic and Plus versions offered now will have updates for life. I did the same though and went with Pro yesterday, as I probably will 12+ drives eventually (all SSD media NAS).

Announcing New Unraid OS License Keys
Thats a great idea, and the best comprimise ive seen between the need for security updates vs the cost of maintaining/supporting multiple versions. Just make the new features only disabled for "expired" licencees. I suppose the only trouble there is general quality of life improvements that are harder to just have a toggle on/off. It would be a comprimise of LT giving little things (like UI improvements) for "free".

Announcing New Unraid OS License Keys
I went from a trial to a pro licence, this morning. I do wonder though, how many new users will be put off by paying yearly. Something like security dosn't feel very optional. If I had started again I may have used something else vs a subscription, so growth may not be as expected. Still investments in the platform are exciting. Personally I'd like anything that makes the OS easier to use, as it was quite a learning curve coming from windows. I might be speaking from lack of understanding as its still early days, but things like file exploring directorys and editing files requiring an app seems a bit more complicated than windows left click edit. A guided tutorial for setting up a reverse proxy would have been nice as it took me about 10 hours of research to get all parts working for example (lol). Still over all I'm very postive about my experience, just i did need a bit of time on my hands to get to this level.
