  1. So I know for next time how do you download the full vs partial diag? I looked again and didn't see any options. Also, how can you tell it's a mirror?
  2. Attached. What file(s) are you looking at so I know for the future?
  3. I added a second drive to my AppCache pool. Did I set it up correctly for parity?
  4. I hate to break it to you, but 20 years ago was 2004. 🤯 I feel old.
  5. I'm using this thumb drive https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07D7P4SY4. No issues so far with 5 months of runtime.
  6. DIagnostic attached. Do you know where the position data is stored? Also any idea why the web interface isn't working?
  7. I just replaced an old drive with a new larger drive. After selecting the new drive and starting the array the web interface became unavailable. I can still ssh into the node. mdcmd reports the array status as "recon D4". My unraid version is 6.12.6. Is there a way to query the time remaining from via the command line? My process for replacing the HD: Stop array Shutdown Eject old HD Insert new HD Boot system Select new HD in array list Start array At this point the web interface became unavailable
  8. To find what to put in the highlighted portion, you will need to login to your server from command line. Then type the following command: ls /dev/disk/by-id Find the one that represents your storage device (but without the -part1 at the end) and paste that in the section above that says YOUR DISK ID HERE. This should work regardless of what SCSI IDs change to after reboots. This is still relevant in 2024. Thanks!
  9. I just installed Unraid for the first time and was surprised docker compose was not a standard feature. Thankfully the community created a plugin. Please add this feature.

My existing rootfs is ext4. I use timeshift for snapshots. Snapshots of some kind or another are a must have.

I'm migrating from Ubuntu to Unraid. I currently using an old dell desktop as my server. It's an i5-4460 with 16GB of RAM. I'm hoping to upgrade to a new system in the next 12 months. My currently storage array is 4x14TB drives in a raid 5 and a 1TB ssd for boot. I have 3x 20TB in a box for the migration. My plan is to create a new (XFS or ZFS) array with the 20TB drives and then copy over the data from the existing array by mounting it in a VM. I primarily use the system for Home Assistant (around 40 docker containers) and Plex. Given the age of my existing hardware and maxed out RAM of 16GB am I better off with BTRFS or XFS? I read ZFS requires a lot of RAM. I'm also hesitant to use XFS since I've had two filesystems eat themselves on power loss. I now have an UPS but I'm still nervous. Thoughts?
  12. I looked at the first one and the smallest Samsung BAR Plus is 64GB.
  13. Oh, Windows. 😆 My existing system is Ubuntu so that shouldn't be a problem. If I format the drive to fat32 and then run make_bootable_linux I should be fine?
