  1. Hi team! I am having an issue that I can put my finger on. I have am seeings about 2562 errors during a parity check. The error I am seeing is: Tower kernel: md: recovery thread: P corrected, sector=xxxx I have taken a look at the logs but I'm not sure where to look - I don't see any obvious disk errors. It always happens in the middle of a parity check. I have checked the cables too. All firmly in place. Any help would be greatly appreciated. tower-diagnostics-20200813-1440.zip
  2. Bizare - Its an IP conflict! Thanks for all the help none the less.
  3. So it does not happen to the local machine when booted in GUI mode, but its does impact all networked machines. Its like its blocking network traffic, then allowing, then blocking, then allowing. Any tips of which logs to look at?
  4. It only blocks new connections - I rebuilt USB retaining config files and the same issues happened again. My SMB sessions are not dropped when I am transfering files (only new attemps are rejected), and established SSH sessions do not drop(only new connections). The webUI was on port 80 and the same strange blocking. lll give that a try thanks Squid. Thanks.
  5. Hey! I am having a strange issue on one of my Unraid servers running 6.8.3. SSH, the Web UI and shares all report connection refused. I am not sure what to look for. I have attached the diagnostics. Could someone please take a look? tower-diagnostics-20200810-1039.zip
  6. Yup - But I have already started to copy my data.
  7. Dang! Ill have to reformat the parity and copy data between disks.
  8. Hey, Just built a new Gen8 Microserver, popped in 3x10TB disks and noticed it formatted them in BTRFS. Is this new default or did something strange happen? Thanks.
  9. Im looking to switch from a custome built AMD A10 to a N54L microserver - I am just using file serving - is it still a good basic choice?
  10. It was the file integrity plugin. I removed it and the CPU instantly dropped.
  11. Thank you for both your responses. I'll start with safe mode and check via ssh to see if I see the same behaviour. Ill then disable the plugins one at a time and hopefully will find the culprit.
  12. Hi there. I am noticing that lsof is consistently using at least 25% of my CPU, which spikes to 60%. My CPU is no powerhouse understandably, is this a normal expected behavior? I have disabled the file activity plugin and also the cached directories plugin. I am unsure how to further troubleshoot this. I'm running Version 6.6.6 2018-12-01. System Details M/B: ASRock - FM2A85X-ITX CPU: AMD A4-4000 APU with Radeon™ HD Graphics @ 3000 Memory: 8 GB (max. installable capacity 8 GB) Kinda at a loss to continue troubleshooting this myself. Then again this might be normal. Regards, Ben.
  13. Thanks mate! much appreciated.
  14. Hey there! So I'm looking to build a new UNRAID server to replace my N40L. I have these parts sitting around - I'm slightly concerned the power supply might not be enough wattage. OS at time of building:Latest Stable CPU:AMD A4-4000 Motherboard:Asrock Fm2A85X - https://www.asrock.com/mb/AMD/FM2A85X-ITX/ RAM:8GB DDR3 Case:Silverstone DS380 Power Supply:Silverstone 300W SFX power unit - http://www.silverstonetek.com/product.php?pid=458&area=en Fans: Stock Parity Drive: 2 x WD RED 4TB Data Drives:6 x WD RED 4TB Primary Use: 24/7 File Server, no transcoding This server would be on 24/7 - just a file server - no transcoding etc. Thanks!
  15. No. It just means that if you say a share is not to be protected by the hashing/verification functionality then it makes no difference whether it is on one disk or multiple disks. Thanks!
  16. Re: "Select here any folders (shares) you want to exclude from the automatic hashing and verification functionality. A folder existing on multiple disks will be skipped on any disk where it is present." Does this mean shares spanning across multiple disk are not protected?
