  1. No, I'm a firm believer of DHCP being pushed via router I agree. This is something that SimpleFeatures should not really do. It is best best done at the router level.
  2. I don't have this behaviour and browsing the syslog works as expected (doing that a lot lately). What browser are you using (or did you try with different browsers & cache cleared) ? It's the apcupsd plugin. Take it out and you should not have the problem.
  3. Stop and read the upgrade instructions for upgrading from 4.7 to 5.0. You need to remove some password files, and then re-enter yor users. I think you jumped over this step and are causing this situation.
  4. Did you remove the 4.7 users and re-enter the users and passwords?
  5. I don't have a spare disk at the moment to test this, but the request has been noted. Can't give any date though! All you would need is a portable USB disk drive I think. There is no rush. Thanks for the consideration. Simple Features makes unraid a joy to use!
  6. Feature Request: Could you include non-array disks in the "Disk Stats"?
  7. Thank you very much. This will definitely be more useful information. +1
  8. Is there other network traffic during your test?
  9. Unrelated, and I'm sure this is a fix required by whoever developed the custom UI you are using (which looks fantastic btw) but shouldn't that say "Array of seven protected data disks" ? a) There are technically seven data drives which are protected b) Parity drive is not included in the total size (nor should it be) c) Cache & Flash are also not protected disks Alternatively it could be reworded to something like "Array of eight protected disks (including parity)" or "Array of eight (including parity) protected disks" This is the Simple Features add on interface and is not the "stock" unraid interface. Post this in the Simple Features thread.
  10. Feature Request: I create log files from some scripts that I run periodically. I store the logs in /var/log and would like to be able to view them much like the syslog. In unmenu the log viewer set the default log to syslog, but could be overwritten so another log could be viewed. Could this feature be added to Simple Features?
  11. Turn off the email notifications in Simple Features and they will stop.
  12. Then don't install apcupsd until the author of that plug-in fixes it. report it to them..., or if inclined, fix it yourself if you have the knowledge. Joe L. PS. The version from unMENU works fine, and does nothing to the syslog... use it in the interim. Thanks for the feedback. I wasn't sure where to look. I'll take a look at the plugin and see what I can dig up. Like I said, it's a minor issue, but I would rather not have to kludge a fix.
  13. What other plugins are you running? I'm running the following without any issues so far: Apcupsd-3.14.10-i468-2atv.plg mysql-5.1.66-i468-6atv-renbysimon.plg couchpotato-0.5-i468-bw.plg sabnzbd-0.4c-i468-bw.plg drive_mount-0.2-noarch-1bw.plg sickbeard-0.4a-i468-1bw.plg headphones-0.1b-influenced.plg I strip everything out down to the bare unraid distro, install Apcupsd and all is good. When I reboot and try to view the log, it constantly recycles. You can see my configuration in my signature. I am using IE9, which I don't think would have anything to do with it.
  14. I still have the issue when the Apcupsd plugin is installed on boot up, the log gets stuck in a constant refresh when I try to view it. Installing the plugin manually does not produce the problem until a reboot. Can anyone suggest how I can track this down? I don't know if it is an unraid issue or a plugin issue, or my configuration. As a work around I renamed the plugin to .plug and install it with installplg in the go file. While this works, it's probably masking an underlying issue with plugins in general or this particular plugin. As a side, when I copy the plugin to the flash drive when it has not been installed before and re-boot, the plugin does not install. I have to manually install it with installplg.
  15. You might just want to hold on this for the moment. I think I may have spoken too soon. This worked on the "bare bones" unraid, but later became an issue now that I think back on it. I will strip all add ons/plugins/customizations off and then add one at a time to see which one is/might be causing the issue. I violated the rule of testing with "bare bones" unraid and only reporting issues from that. My bad. I'll rewind and start over and see if I can find what is causing this to happen. I think Tom's time is better spent on those "bigger fish". Ok the culprit appears to be the apcupsd plug in. I install it manually (no other plug ins are installed) and all is good. I did not start the daemon. Then I reboot and the constant log refresh starts. I don't think this one is in your court Tom. I have more information on this issue. If I rename the .plg to .plug and install in from the go script on reboot, there are no issues. Go script line: /usr/local/sbin/installplg /boot/config/plugins/Apcupsd-3.14.10-i468-2atv.plug Tom, is there an issue in the plugin installations on boot up?

  18. Running SNAP in B5rc1 and I can't mount an SATA drive formatted NTFS. When I run: snap.sh -m DailyBackups I get the following: Partition doesn't exist, cannot be mounted. The drive shows up in SNAP as "NTFS", but changes to "No FS" as soon as I try to mount it. Drive is device hda. UPDATE: I have this drive installed in my server as a backup drive connected to an internal SATA port. It stays in the server and is not removed. It is formated NTFS. When I try to mount the drive I'm told there is no partition. I've tracked it down to the /dev/disk/by-id/*part1 for this drive does not exist so SNAP cannot mount it. queeg, can you take a look and see why this is happening and how I can fix it?
  19. same here ... but i must admit I'm also still running add-on: unmenu and simple features. I just started a preclear and I seem to be getting these errors. I am also using simple features. CONFIRMED: I took out Simple Features and the log entries stopped. Tracked it down to email notifications in Simple Features. Stopping email notifications stops the log entries.

  22. When I click the "System Log" in the Utils tab, I cannot scroll down the log because it is constantly being refreshed. Is there a reason that the log is constantly being refreshed while on this page? I am using IE 9.
