  1. Does it require Perl to be installed?
  2. A quick question about System AutoFan... how many fans need to exceed the Low Temp before the PWM channel is switched on? I have picked my SYS_FAN channel which has the following settings - Min PWM Value 50, Low Temp 25, High Temp 35, Refresh 1 min. While watching a movie my drive temps are *, 27C, *, *, * (Array of 5 devices 27C) and the fans are off. EDIT : I spun the drives down and up and the display updated to 25C, 29C, 23C, 23C, 28C (Array of 5 devices 25.6C)
  3. Here's the link for the sensors-detect... http://www.lm-sensors.org/wiki/Devices
  4. I can confirm that for the Gigabyte H97N-WIFI board, adding the following line to the go script forces the System Temp and Fan Control scripts to detect a portion of the generic it87 driver that recognises the IT8620E chip in the board... modprobe it87 force_id=0x8728 In my case it picked up three PWM channels but of course only two have headers on the board. it8728-pwm1 is CPU_FAN and I suspect that it8728-pwm2 will be SYS_FAN.
  5. Bonienl already advised me to try that (back in page 27 of this thread I think) and the drivers field just stays blank. Nothing is detected.
  6. I think that assumption is correct. If the ITE 8620E driver is not present in unRAID, then sensors-detect will not locate the fan controller on the GA-H97N-WIFI motherboard. As bonienl suggested, our next step is to put a Feature Request to LimeTech. I will read the submission guide today and put one in.
  7. Bonienl - I have been given some more information which may help me get the Fan Control script running on my Gigabyte H97N-WIFI motherboard but not being familiar with Linux, I don't know what to do with the information. I have been advised that the motherboard has an ITE 8620E Super I/O chip which has a standalone IT87xx driver available on the lm-sensors project. The catch for me is that the driver is uncompiled and resides in a compressed .tar.gz file. I don't know what to do with it to get it onto my unRAID install. Is there any chance you could have a look at this for me and advise if this is what I am looking for?
  8. Fair enough - thanks for troubleshooting this for me. Worse case scenario I can either keep all the fans on the PWM channel or go for a fan controller. There are no Linux drivers for the motherboard listed on the Gigabyte website.
  9. The system temp plugin found coretemp and showed me acpitz temp1 and temp2, coretemp physical id 0, coretemp core0 and core1. The array fan speed dropdown just showed Not Used.
  10. It just responded that there were no pwm-capable sensor modules installed. The motherboard has two PWM fan connectors on it and one is in use for the CPU fan.
  11. Yes, we have more there... root@Tower:~# ls -l /sys/devices/platform total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 ACPI000C:00/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0B:00/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0B:01/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0B:02/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0B:03/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0B:04/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0C:00/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 PNP0C0E:00/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 alarmtimer/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 May 9 17:23 coretemp.0/ drwxr-xr-x 5 root root 0 May 9 17:23 i8042/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 May 9 17:23 pcspkr/ drwxr-xr-x 3 root root 0 May 9 17:23 platform-framebuffer.0/ drwxr-xr-x 2 root root 0 May 9 17:25 power/ drwxr-xr-x 4 root root 0 May 9 17:23 serial8250/ -rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4096 May 9 19:42 uevent
  12. I get this... /bin/ls: cannot access /sys/devices/platform/nct6775.656/hwmon/hwmon1/: No such file or directory
  13. That returns nothing when I type it in manually. Am I missing a driver or something? The motherboard page lists nothing under Linux drivers.
  14. Apologies for repeating a previously asked question but I am still trying to get AutoFan working and have not seen a reply. I was wondering how to set up and use the AutoFan script in Dynamix. I had a quick look and could not get any of the PWM channels on my motherboard to be detected. Is there anything I need to run first or edit to get my PWM channels detected correctly? PWM Controller dropdown just has "None" as the only entry. I am running 6beta15 with no additional plugins. Motherboard used : Gigabyte H97N-WIFI with two PWM channels (one for CPU, one for case fans)
  15. I was under the impression that Dynamix is bundled with unRAID6 b14 now. You should find Dynamix 2015.02.25 with beta 14b.
