Pretty much removed everything anyway, Plex was the only plugin I had installed I think. Its working thats the main thing, usb no longer blacklisted. Just trying to get my head around transfering my plex database now, I'm guessing its not going to be as simple as pointing the new appdata folder at the old appdata folder...I see loads more options on the docker setup screen

Well something from that link did it!! THANK YOU so much. Possibly the Go file got a bit muddled, so i reset it to the default and removed the plex plugin entirely and it updated fine! So happy right now.... Now i just need to work out how to get plex docker to work

Ouch, good to know thank you. I was nervous about updating because i didn't want something like this to happen but i will give this a try as well thank you again. The flash drive is a Sandisk Cruzer Fit 8GB but it works fine on 6.0.1 its only when i updated it says it blacklisted, I can revert back to 6.0.1 fine. Currently at work but I'll check the GUID when i get home in a few hours and get back to you.

Thank you, i'll give this a go tonight then hopefully that will sort it. I'm worried If i don't copy my old config folder across i won't remember my share structure so will copy it just to be safe. My appdata is on the cache drive so hoping that will be ok, if it does work then i might use this excuse to finally swap over to plex docker rather than the plugin as well. Might make updating plex a bit less of a hassle. Thank you

Still not heard back from support yet, but doing further reading I found this thread: https://forums.unraid.net/topic/65772-635-to-640-issue-flash-is-blacklisted-solved/ specifically this bit: Difficult to say, but it has happened before that people got corruption on their USB device after upgrading. Now i did notice when i plugged my usb into my computer that it did come up with errors but when i got windows to scan the drive it said it couldn't find anything wrong. So i ignored it. Now I'm thinking the update has possibly damaged something so what I'd like to try is a fresh install so: Copy the contents off my drive and then format it Install a fresh copy of unraid (current version) copy my config folder over from my old set up with the exception of my go file? heres where I'm unsure, after i boot up would I need to transfer my key over like if i was changing my flash drive at this point? or would the GUID still be the same? I'm not sure if formatting the drive creates a new GUID? If the GUID is the same would it matter that the version of unraid is different now? Would this work do you think? Thanks

Thanks Squid, I figured as much. I contacted them originally, then was told I should also post in here. I'd not considered that....there are two keys in there, basic and plus. I guess i need to delete the basic key?

Jesus...I hadn't realised I'd been running it that long! lol. I meant new in terms of what I've done so far with it....I kinda set it up installed plex and away i went. Not sure how that could of happened? .. Nope, same original flash drive. again nope, flash drive was purchased brand new and set up by myself with a fresh copy of unraid with a key purchased by myself directly from limetech. I've since "upgraded" the key (again directly through limetech) when I added more drives to my array

Hi all, Fairly new to unraid and my knowledge is pretty limited (actually its pretty amazing I've gotten as far as I have!) I've been using it for a while now, quite happily, however recently I've been trying to set up a VPN which has required me to update my Unraid server from 6.0.1 (been on this since i started) which i tried to do using the plugin screen. Everything seemed to go well until i rebooted where by it then told me my usb was blacklisted and i can't seem to do anything on it now (assuming because it's blacklisted) everything is accessible but for some reason when i click on something (like power down or reboot) it doesn't actually do anything even though it says it is doing something (rebooting or powering down etc) I contacted customer support and they suggested i post here and also supply my diagnostics.zip. Unfortunately because of the issue above it won't actually allow me to download my diagnostics it just refreshes the page when i click download. I'm also concerned that if i have to put my key back in that it won't work for the same reason(s)? Any ideas? I can revert back to 6.0.1 using the previous version folder on my flash drive and this does then allow me access to everything again, but then i'm back to square one and I would very much like to update if possible. included a couple of screenshots, one showing what it looks like on 6.0.1 and another on the latest version...as you can see the array has completely disappeared on the latest version, but again I'm not sure if this is because its "blacklisted" Thanks in advance

hmmm got here from a google search, however I'm getting this from all browsers...well Firefox and Chrome Oddly enough worked in Internet Explorer.....First time i've used that browser in probably 10 years

You could be onto something with the CPU, i never liked how the standard bundled heatsink attached to the processor it never really felt very secure and oddly enough what do i find? one of the the locking mechanisms is broken so its only locked in place on three corners. Definitely going to replace that as soon as possible. Though I don't really know what to go for....its been a long time since i bought a cpu cooler, always used the bundled one because i don't tend to overclock or anything...

Well i left it on last night to finish the parity check and it seems to have done it this time. I think undersigning the parity and then reassigning it, as suggested above, seemed to sort it..... hopefully at least. The temps seemed to peak at 42 C although when i just checked it this morning the drives were all still span up but it might of only just finished doing the parity check i guess... Sorry about my none technical terminology, it just turns off, no power down sequence or anything just 'dies' Nope, should i still try that? 3 HDD, 1 Parity, 1 Cache. The Cache is an SSD, the rest are all matched 4tb WD Red's 400W Seasonic Platinum SS-400FL2 PSU Thank you both for taking the time to help me out....

Just trying a stress test of sorts, got a 1080p compressed rip going and the parity check...unraid is displaying temps of 40 C on both the parity drive and what i can only assume is the drive where the film is playing from. however on UnMenu it shows a slightly higher temp 42 C Only at 10% so far....temps have been very slowly rising....so if they continue I know its because they are over heating.....don't understand why all of a sudden though...it does a parity check every month and the weather has been hotter then this recently!

Hi, Just been using the server for Plex briefly and it died again, so starting to think its not just related to the parity anymore... could be an over heating issue so possibly not unraid related Kinda makes sense as the hard disks in use did hit 46 C yesterday...they've never been that high but i figured it was because i'd never cleaned the fan intake filters and the fan controller was set on low...have since cleaned the filters and set the controller to high...but obviously its not helped...its weird, this computer has always been very cool Got fix common problems just playing about with that now... Doesn't appear to be working....when i click anything the status doesn't change from "Not Running"

This indicates a issue, post the diagnostics after a failed parity check and before rebooting. Sorry, how do i go about that?, i was looking for some sort of log but the only stuff i could find was from when it came back on

Hi, Before I get into this I should probably make you aware that my skill level with this stuff is quite low! I set up unraid using a guide and i merely use it for Plex and Torrents. The other day i screwed things ups majorly but cutting a long story short; After an initial balls up with a dodgy SATA power cable I started a new config (can't actually remember why i did this as it sounds really stupid now) I accidentally set a data disk as parity which seemed to not only screw that disk but also screw the parity so i resigned myself to losing the data from that drive. So since then i have formatted the data drive however I'm unable to work out how to format the parity drive which i'm assuming i need to do because at the moment the server dies mid way through a parity check, so something still isn't right. Could i stop the array and add the parity as a data disk and then format it using the file system method? (which doesn't appear to be available for the parity drive) I'm assuming no here because surely the Parity is a different file system?? Thanks in advance.

I'm getting the same problem with other dockers as well, so I've done something wrong somewhere....just tried Subsonic and its got the same issue when trying to add my music folder

ok, mnt still doesn't seem to work for me....when ever i hit ok and then come back onto it the box in autotools is still empty, and when i hit the "..." button my only choices are whatever folders that are in my downloads share...

Thanks for the help, food for thought. How does sickraid and sabnzbd work then? due to them being separate docker containers wouldn't that cause the same issue? eek, this does seem a lot more complicated then i initially envisioned

I have a folder on Dropbox (already installed the docker) called torrents that I want to use however when I try to put the directory into the autowatch box I click OK and it disappears from the box. When I click the browse button the only directory I can see is inside my downloads folder so I'm thinking I need to set up some sort of base directory?? As an experiment I tried to change it to a temp directory inside the downloads folder and after a while a torrent did eventually appear in the download window

hmm starting to think i should of installed this docker stuff....but wouldn't that mean i'd have to start again with my library? not in terms of re downloading everything but the "on deck" stuff and poster art selections and stuff??

Hi i've just installed the plugin for this and im having trouble logging in? I've tried the default username/password default and even tried changing the password on the file but its still not letting me in?
