  1. Been running VM's since 6.5 with no issues till now. This is a lot of extra work just to get these going. Glad to have someone with your knowledge on hand So I followed your steps (very thorough, thank you so much) on the Windows 10 VM, and added the GPU to the 11 vm and made sure to make similar. (Same GPU, I only run one of the VM's at a time) and they seem to boot without any hiccups to the system at least, no errors being tossed my way this time. But they both just boot into a black screen. Updated diagnostics attached gringots-diagnostics-20220527-1606.zip
  2. Oooofff.... that went over my head a bit. I don't know enough about that side of things to implement your fixes. I appreciate your help though. Maybe best if I downgrade back to 6.9 till they fix the kinks in the vms
  3. Recently updated to unraid version 6.10.1 and Lost functionality of my virtual machines. I have my main /Gaming VM set up with Windows 10, and had recently set up a Windows 11 that I mess around with once in a while. Both were functioning fully with the use of my CPU, GPU, and peripherals. now anytime I boot up either VM I get an error message saying I try to stop the VM and all of unraid just freezes and forces me to go and manually restart the computer. If I remove my GPU from the VM it seems to work no problem. But as soon as I add it back, everything dies. I have been combing the forums for the last couple days and have not found much. Few people mentioned updating the bios, and I have done that, made no difference. I have created new VM‘s with different settings to the same results. stuck and seeking assistance lol diagnostics attached gringots-diagnostics-20220526-2109.zip
  4. Oh my god you are my friggin hero!!!! I can’t believe I didn’t think of that as that is one of the big things I had to make sure I had in my opencore boot args when I had this guy in the hackintosh. i should’ve just pulled the old opencore file and compared. lol. IT’S UP AND RUNNING!!! Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  5. ALMOST got this going lol. I have everything going perfectly other than my GPU Passthrough. Radeon RT 5700 XT. It worked in my bare metal windows build, had it working in a bare metal opencore hackintosh, and currently works in my Windows 10 VM, but does not wish to play with the Mac VM. Can’t for the life of me figure out why. I have scoured the forums, had help from a few awesome people along the way (including using the correct opencore configurator version) but no luck. EVERYTHING works fine with VNC, and as soon as I switch to GPU it will go through the boot until the apple logo “loading” spot and black screen on me. Anyone else out there have any ideas? Here are the VM logs
  6. Did you ever get this resolved? I am getting the same issue myself. It went through the bench marking, turned on and started working, Then off. And from there on and off repeatedly. ALSO running AMD video card. Anyone have any ideas why it goes on and off repeatedly?
  7. That’s alright! I appreciate you trying. haha. And DERP. Can’t believe I forgot to post the XML instead. Here we are
  8. OK! So good news is I got the Mac VM to HALF boot lol. I can turn it on, it pops on my screen and asks to pick a boot drive, then you get the black screen with all the code flashing by, then….. black screen. OR. I get a pink striped screen, it reboots and gets stuck in a boot loop. Anyone else experience this? Here’s the setup thus far
  9. ROUND 34! hahah followed multiple of his GPU passthrough videos and his GPU dump and STILL nada! Tried HDMI and Display, moved to different slots on MOBO, reinstalled the MacOS VM twice since…. GPU is where she gets stuck each time. Regardless of my playing around.
  10. Good news is you were bang on! I added everything one at a time, updated the SCRIPT, started. BAM. I am now stuck at one part. GPU passthrough comes up a black screen. I can switch back to VNC, and it works. But still. Doing some digging. Running a Gigabyte AMD Radeon RT 5700 XT.
  11. Do you mean go as far as adding one core at a time, and boot in between each, or just edit one FIELD at a time, with a boot in between?
  12. I followed along the tutorial video without issue until we turned off the VM, updated core/RAM, userscripts, started VM. It asked me to choose my drive, chose bigsur (like i named it) and I get stuck at this. Any thoughts? I’ve redone this VM again and same issue. Tried different core/ram settings, default included. Nada.
  13. For some reason the USER SCRIPTS didn’t come down with the app when I installed it. I uninstalled and re-installed following the tutorial video (removing app, data and template) and rebooted server. STILL no macinabox scripts…. any thoughts?
  14. In all seriousness it definitely needs an aftermarket cooler LOL it’s an i7 4.0 GHz And it gets worked hard with just a stock cooler. I did go out and buy a cooler master 212 evo Which was on sale for about $25 at my local computer store. I will run that for a couple days with the VM and see how it goes. Also double checked everything else and found out one of my front fans had stopped working so I replaced that with a spare I had at home. Fingers crossed this does the trick
  15. Interesting! Guess I should learn to read these diagnostics haha. Been running fine for years so not sure why it’s overheating now, but I’ll toss a bigger CPU cooler in there and see if that helps and go from there!
