  1. Hi all, So I found this docker that someone created for Ventrilo https://github.com/akursar/docker-ventrilo I am still wrapping my head around how to import it though. So far, I've used the generous templates that others have created. How would I go about importing just this Docker file though? Would love to move my Ventrilo server off a VM I have it on but don't know where to start. Thanks all!
  2. I am having some issues with PlexWatch as well. PlexWatch does not show a version # and I've setup the IP correctly: http://d.pr/i/18j2l But it still cannot connect: http://d.pr/i/1bpjE http://d.pr/i/10C1h I have it running on a separate VM without issue but would love to run it on my unRAID box! Any ideas what I have wrong here? BTW, I am not using Plex Home.
  3. Hi all, Finally getting around to upgrading to 6 since it seems so close to production. However, I noticed that Zeron hasn't updated VMtools in quite some time for v6. Anyone know of any pitfalls with upgrading to v6 running ESXi 5.1 I should be aware of? I know I'll have to do a plugin overhaul but does it generally run flawlessly? Thx for all of your help.
  4. Hi all, So I am finally getting around to updating to unRAID 6 and will be building out a new USB stick for the process. I have some very low mileage USB 3.0 sticks from Patriot & SanDisk that fit the bill. So instead of buying a new one, is there any issue with using a USB 3.0 stick on a USB 2.0 port to boot unRAID? I assume not but wanted to make sure here before buying a new license. Thanks! p.s. - I have the USB 3.0 Sandisk Ultra Fit (USB 3.0 version of the regular Sandisk fit drive that LimeTech sells).
  5. I had that when I manually changed Influencer's plugin to python 2.7. I was able to see it again when I changed back to 2.6. Have not changed to phaze plugin yet though. Sent from my SM-N9005 using Tapatalk So I tried this in Firefox and it's working. Must be a chrome thing.
  6. Well this is a Couchpotato problem but a long standing one. I wonder if it's related to the version of Python, but is anyone else not able to see folders in the custom renamer section? http://d.pr/i/S9rv It's been like this for a while but I don't want to go to python 2.6 to test. Wondering if there's something else I am missing.
  7. Hi all, I'm currently running unRAID virtualized on a SuperMicro X9SCM-F-O. It's great. However, I think I want to move this mobo to another Norco case I have and turn it into a dedicated ESXi host. This will let me add hard drives as datastores (through NAS4Free) because my current Norco is out of space. I am thinking about running unRAID directly on this motherboard I have laying around: Gigabyte GA-Z68MA-D2H-B3. Has anyone run unRAID on one of these boards with (3) M1015's? Any issues? Thanks! Regards, Jason
  8. Anyone using the RC14 vmtools with RC15? I know that Zeron hasn't had a chance to recompile against the newest kernel but I want to make sure before I upgrade.
  9. Could this be something to do with the 'blinking activity lights' that others report when the SF 1.0.11 gui is open? Sounds like something is polling the disks, which as I understand it could effect parity check speed. Perhaps a more experienced user can chime in... I'm only going on what I recall reading here and there I think you are on to something. I am also noticing slow parity checks with 5.0.rc11 and SF 1.0.11. I was watching from the GUI and would only see 20 - 25MB/s and I could hear drives thrashing. When I closed the GUI the drive thrashing stopped. I reopened the GUI and saw that parity check was back up to 96MB/s and slowly decreased back to the 20-25 MB/s range. So on my system it appears to only be an issue when a parity check is running and you are watching the GUI. Same issue here.
  10. You know I just noticed that after upgrading to SimpleFeatures 1.0.11, I too am having slow parity checks. Mine's been running for 1 day, 2 hours and it's only at 45%. Wonder which SimpleFeatures plugin is causing the issue.
  11. I haven't had any issues pre_clearing. Have preclear'd many drives through my VM.
  12. Thanks. I'm not replacing, just adding and pre-clearing.
  13. Has anyone added a hard drive without shutting down the entire ESXi host? I assumed I can hot add a hard drive (into an empty slot) as long as the unRAID VM is powered down, no? Want to make sure before I screw something up.
  14. Many thx! So I should be good with a mix of Samsung HD154UI Hitachi HDS5C3020ALA632 Samsung HD204UI Western Digital WD15EADS
  15. Hi guys, I've got the CORSAIR HX Series CMPSU-650HX 650W and am running with 22 drives right now (one is an SSD for my cache drive). Of those 22 drives, only one is currently a 7200RPM drive (my parity drive). I want to start upgrading to some 3TB drives but can't find any decent green ones. Will this PSU handle (5) ST3000DM001 (1 parity, 2 to replace (2) 1TB WD Green drives, 2 to add to the array). Thx!
  16. I'm running RC9a. It's great so far. Drives don't seem to sleep as much as they did in the past tho....not sure if this is a SimpleFeatures thing.
  17. Regarding the long lease time for DHCP....I've got my server set in my router for Static DHCP. It's my understanding that this removes the lease time. Should I still set it as static in unRAID if the router is instructed to give it just this IP? Is is the mere presence of DHCP on the unRAID server side that causes the media playback glitch?
  18. How does SimpleFeatures operate on rc9a? Does the Permissions Utility Window open as expected? How about spindown?
  19. what 2x8 modules did you end up picking up to get to 32GB? Just curious, I'm considering making the jump as well.
  20. ahh ok. I thought I remembered John saying that unRAID would think it was overheating. If not, then awesome! Thx!
  21. Samsung 830 256GB. I have it in another machine currently but I've got a Samsung 830 128GB drive I'll put in there and take the 256GB for unRAID. These drives are super fast and super reliable.
  22. Hi all, I want to move my 750GB cache drive to a 256GB SSD (cleaned up a lot of crap!). I'd like to move over all my cache data (Dropbox, SAB, Plex, etc.). What's the best way to accomplish this? I know I can copy the data down to another machine, install the cache, and copy it back but that doesn't seem like it's the best way to handle it. Has anyone else done this? I'm guessing I could add the SSD as an out of array drive, mount it, then rsync it over. Also, does preclear need to be run on SSD's? Thanks!!!
  23. Question for JohnM.... I am thinking about switching to an SSD for my cache drive. With the newer releases of unRAID (rc8a), are the SSD drive temps still an issue?
  24. Anyone try passing the HP NC360T (Intel 82571EB) through to unRAID and does it work?
