Docker high image disk utilization: why is my docker image/disk getting full?
first of all, your second link didnt work for me (your first link worked once but not anymore, wtf) maybe server/forum issues? ill try again tomorrow. Anyway, as for telling where my download clients download to (temp/incompletes/completes), ive double/triple checked in settings, both on the settings of the docker as well as settings within the app it self (for example, the SAB UI), and on both SAB and deluge. Both SAB and deluge seems to be configured correctly (im eyeballing here, but all seems correct to me, im using "/" correctly, case sensitive etc). Only outlier i saw was that, sab has the log and admin folders linking within the docker image, and i have no way to check if those directories are the culprit? That being said, if there was a way i could actually have access to the file structure on docker.img, then i could run something like windirstat to get a idea of what directories are using up the space and i can investigate. Any idea how i could do this? Secondly, its possible that the plex transcorder is one of the culprits. there was a post couple of replies below on the first link that addresses that. but i highly doubt that, since i dont see the space fluctuating massively in a short amount of time. and even if that was the case, remapping the transcode directory wouldn't help clear out what ever it was that is currently clogging up the image. =/ any more thoughts?

Docker high image disk utilization: why is my docker image/disk getting full?
Thanks for the instructions on expanding, if i dint get a solution for the size issue, i will do this As for sab, deluge, and sync... sync isnt connected to anything at all right now, so it shouldnt actually use up anything. So, on my setup/filesystem, i have a /mnt/user/Docker/AppData/ which contains all the app data for most of the dockers. this folder is like 250+gb thanks to plex app data dir taking up ~250gb (wtf right? this is an issue i had earlier when i had plex server installed on windows too, so its an unrelated issue). Note, this is not the plex media directory, its just the config/cache directory. Then i have a unassigned devices mapped as /mnt/disks/mydrive1/ which contains multiple download directories which are mapped to sab and deluge as download directories. I really cant find anything else in settings that are not either mapped to /mnt/disks/mydrive1/* or Docker/AppData/* note: my docker image is located at /mnt/user/Docker/Docker/docker.img Is there any easy way for me to look inside docker.img to see whats using up all the space?

Docker high image disk utilization: why is my docker image/disk getting full?
Hey Guys, So, recently, i have been getting notifications about my docker image/disk getting full (hitting about 81% now). I havent installed anything new for like the last 6 months (besides the auto updates), and the disk utilization is slowly increasing (ie. few weeks ago, it was at 75%). When i first created, i allocated 20gb to my docker disk/image. Currently its using up about 17gb/20gb. If this is normal, i have plenty more hdd space, if someone can tell me how i can expand my allocated 20gb to maybe 30 or 40gb, that would solve the problem for a little while. But in the meantime, i want to know what is going on and why its using up 17gb, and still increasing? Anyway, i just installed the cadvisor docker to see if it gives me any information, and i see this on the docker page of cadvisor, Images Repository Tags ID Virtual Size Creation Time linuxserver/sonarr latest sha256:6aa3c326ea81898a9 328.76 MiB 1/21/2017, 12:33:42 PM linuxserver/sabnzbd latest sha256:183cd9b9813960b1d 257.16 MiB 1/14/2017, 12:41:12 PM linuxserver/plexpy latest sha256:d6dbfe6c4a38f4863 109.64 MiB 10/1/2016, 11:23:52 AM linuxserver/plex latest sha256:699f00c8a8c23307e 404.95 MiB 5/6/2017, 10:44:05 AM linuxserver/htpcmanager latest sha256:879c6373ef5b14f1d 111.90 MiB 10/1/2016, 11:23:30 AM linuxserver/deluge latest sha256:0dd36542df4e3fc7d 157.01 MiB 1/14/2017, 11:38:21 AM linuxserver/couchpotato latest sha256:1416f816197775c9b 111.50 MiB 1/14/2017, 12:33:44 PM limetech/sync latest sha256:54597b6c03906d4f5 300.71 MiB 7/3/2016, 3:37:30 AM google/cadvisor latest sha256:f9ba08bafdeaf8158 54.66 MiB 3/10/2017, 12:30:29 PM dreamcat4/jackett latest sha256:80df299519f91d03e 320.86 MiB 10/11/2016, 4:03:57 PM coppit/duckdns latest sha256:3a52d808122f4b0a4 226.63 MiB 9/2/2015, 3:52:50 PM and as you can see, those sizes doesnt add upto anywhere near the 17gb. Can someone help me debug this further? ps. im on the latest version of unraid, and everything set to auto update.

[Plugin] CA Fix Common Problems
hey guys, can someone here give me a quick direction on how to resolve this problem: Im having some issues with my 2 cache drives after a power outage, keep saying unmountable (suspect file system problem). I came across this plugin and installed it, and it said the following: Although that is helpful, the "Unraid Main" button just brings me to the main page. Im not very clear on how to run these "file system checks". Any help would be greatly appreciated. Here is the link to a more indepth explanation of my problem if anyone cares to read: https://lime-technology.com/forum/index.php?topic=50147 TY in advance

How to Replace a Drive (cache/data/parity)
Also @gundamguy, see if you can edit your initial response and remove the section about the directions for 5-6 (or maybe a mod can do it?). That thread has incomplete instructions, i followed blindly and ended up losing a drive (thank god it was a small drive), just lost 1/2 tb of media. Its my bad, i should have googled the console command, but lets try to make sure others fall on the same trap.

How to Replace a Drive (cache/data/parity)
Could you please explain what steps i need to take to achieve "removing the drive and rebuilding parity". Do i need to take a backup of the contents of the drive first, or are you suggesting that the rebuilding of the parity will recover the data from the drive and add it to the array? Few steps i need to take would be appreciated, im a noob here haha.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
@dlandon thanks so much for clarifying things. That makes perfect sense, i think i understand it a lot better now. Felt like some sorcery before haha. I will format it and try again (in the process of copying stuff at the moment, it will be another half a day haha). @itimpi: Thanks for the Advice. I got couple of questions after reading your bit though: So, yes, i remember reading about this on the first post on this thread. I will be using the drive in unraid only, and only for this VM. So, it doesnt really need to be imported into another windows environment. I will likely try setup as a secondary drive to the VM rather than a "share". Is there a prefered format type if i were to mount it to the VM as a secondary drive, or should i use XFS? Also, how do you select your secondary drive: do you select under "2nd Vdisk Location" of the VM and select "/mnt/disks/MY_DISK_NAME_HERE"?

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Out of curiosity, if/when i try to format, is there a preferred format type i should use? This is a 3TB Spinny drive (Seagate Desktop drive i believe). Cheers.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Alright, let me give some more context. I HAD a diffeernt windows server im now moving ton unraid + VM (windows). the old windows server had a secondary drive which had my downloads and some data files etc. I was hoping that i could plugin this secondary drive into the new VM and still keep the old files that were on it. I was initially intending on creating a folder saying "backups" and chuck everything in there and later (when i have more time) just delete what i dont need and clean things up, but the permission issue did not allow me to do so. So now, im trying to copy everything into the main Raid (this is going to take a long time) so i can format and hope that i dont get the same permission issue. So essentially, i wanted to do the "cleanup" process later rather than sooner. Ah well, just means my plans will be set back by a day or so.

Unassigned Devices - Managing Disk Drives and Remote Shares Outside of The Unraid Array
Hey guys, can someone please help me with something regarding Unassigned Devices. Im new to unraid, and pretty noob at these things. I installed Unassigned Devices, added 2 devices that are not in the main raid (ssd and a normal drive). The SSD is freshly formatted, but the normal drive still has the old data in it (ntfs). Both drives get picked up by UD and manage to mount them and the tick for "share" works as expected. Once shared, im using another PC to browse to the drives/folders. When i do so, i can add/modify files on the SSD but not on the Spinny drive "permission denied" (i tried moving some files, i tried adding a file to the root, etc). Is this expected behaviour or am i doing something wrong? Im using Windows 10 to make these edits. Im trying to move some of the data out of the spinny drive so i can format it, maybe that might fix it. Also another question i have is, if there is a way to share one of the disks with the VM running on the same unraid install without having this drive exposed on the network? So, sort of restricted access just for the VM. I have a W10 VM installed in the same unraid, and the VM is installed in the unraid arrays cache drives, i just want to pass through this spinny drive into the VM as a secondary drive.

How to Replace a Drive (cache/data/parity)
Hey all, Im new here and new to unraid. Just got setup, i just have couple of questions on best way to do couple of things. So, this thread is about, what is the best process to replace a drive. First of all, there are 3 types of drives: Parity Drive Data Drive Cache Drive And there are 2 types of "replacement": Drive Swap: Swap out one drive (old existing) for another (new). This could be either due to drive upgrade or due to drive failure Drive Remove: This is only applicable for Data and Cache drives only, but suppose it might make sense for Parity in 6.2.x. But this is when you say you have 5x4tb data drives (20tb) and only using 10tb of data. So you can technically safely remove 2 of the data drives (probably not at the same time) and still have 2TB remaining. This could either be because of downgrading the raid or downgrading due to drive failure So, now that the scenarios are out of the way. Can someone explain what the best way to do the following: 1. Parity Drive Swap (upgrade) 2. Parity Drive Swap (replace due to failure) 3. Data Drive swap (upgrade) 4. Data Drive swap (replace due to failure) 5. Data Drive Remove (downgrade) 6. Data Drive Remove (downgrade due to failure) 7. Cache Drive swap (upgrade) 8. Cache Drive remove Just to add some curve balls, lets say that i have a raid with 1 parity and 3 data drives. For the cases (3) listed above, lets say we remove 1 data drive and add 1 new data drive in its place and let the raid rebuild that new data drive from the parity. In this scenario, if another drive fails, then you potentially lose entire raid (because you technically lost 2 drives)? Is there a more safer way to do a drive upgrade/swap? Cheers, TY in advance. Please feel free to link me to any reading material.

UnRaid and UPS
Thinking of buying one of these: http://www.cpsww.com.au/Product/Product/GetProduct?id=3 Im assuming this should work with unraid?

UnRaid and UPS
Does anyone know if APSUPSD support the UPS Blazer 2000? I suppose not, since its designed for APC. If i somehow get this blazer 2000 (http://www.centralion.com/download/Blazer.pdf), is there any way to get it to work with unRaid do you think?

UnRaid and UPS
Awesome, thanks so much. I will look around and see if i can find a APC UPS for a decent price.

UnRaid and UPS
Thanks for your response. I havent started my unraid server, nor purchased it yet (i will be in a week or two after i gather all the hardware). Can you let me know what steps i would need to take after buying the hardware (APC UPS)? So i gather from your last comment, when i plug the unraid pc into the UPS, i should be able to use the unraid GUI to find some UPS settings section? Would i need to install any drivers/software other than the raw unRaid? Cheers

UnRaid and UPS
Hey Guys, Im trying to setup a new unraid server soon (moving from different raid system). Im curious, Does unraid have some sort of support for UPS's? Is there a recommended list OF UPS's that unraid works nicely with? So mainly, im just wondering, if i were to go buy a UPS, how do i know if it can safely shutdown the computer (and the VMs) when/if the power goes out? Cheers.
