HDD with read errors - how do I proceed?
hmm looks like that physical slot on my case is bad (I moved it back to the original location). As the rebuild progressed, I got a bunch of crc errors. Once the rebuild is done, I guess mark that slot as bad and move drive physically to another? Event: Unraid Disk 17 SMART health [199] Subject: Warning [RIGEL] - udma crc error count is 20755 Description: TOSHIBA_HDWG480_X170A07SFR0H (sdu) Importance: warning

Thanks - procedure worked as expected - drive is currently rebuilding. I appreciate you!

HDD with read errors - how do I proceed?
This will sound dumb - but how do I confirm if the disk is actually mounting? When I click the red X, Unraid happily tells me it'll spin-up the drive - and I see temps. I see the light for it light up during the spin-up operation. I checked on /dev/disk/by-id/ and see it listed there. Thank you.

HDD with read errors - how do I proceed?
Would it be safer for me to shuffle the contents out of the drive to the rest of the array? Or am I just creating more work for the array? Thank you!

HDD with read errors - how do I proceed?
Thanks - I reseated the power and cables, no dice. moved the drive to another slot in the bay, no dice. I think I saw somewhere that I have to unassign, start the array and then re-assign for it to recognize the drive again?

HDD with read errors - how do I proceed?
I got a couple of errors this morning - first my cache drive (SSD) has "current pending ecc cnt is 1" and then almost immediately that it was returned to normal. about 5 hours later, I got an error that there's a disk with read errors. My syslogs are attached - please let me know if there's anything else I should post. Description: Array has 1 disk with read errors Importance: warning Disk 17 - TOSHIBA_HDWG480_X170A07SFR0H (sdu) (errors 2) Of course I'm leaving for vacation this week. Should I shutdown the array until I return?

Replacing good drive with larger drive
Delete - I found my other post with the same question, 2 yrs ago... that first "start" is just confirming the missing disk. the next screen prompts for the key.

Replacing good drive with larger drive
I've done this several times in the past - no issues... I'm just replacing a 2TB drive with an already pre-cleared 10TB drive. I followed the steps here: https://docs.unraid.net/legacy/FAQ/replacing-a-data-drive/ Array has been encrypted previously (for years now) I'm at Step 8, and the array is showing that all my other drives are "to be encrypted". It's not asking me for my password or key file, like it us I'm on v6.9.2. IF I proceed, is all the data on my other drives going to get wiped?

Guide: How To Use Rclone To Mount Cloud Drives And Play Files
I think it depends on your connection. But my download speed was a lot faster than my upload speed (1gb down vs 40mb up). So I just ended up moving groups of folders manually. But I thought a few posts up somebody had noted how to reverse the script to change it to download.

Thank you for the very informative write-up, @Kaizac. I will bookmark this and revisit once I solve my current, unrelated issues.

First time I heard of Debrid was from one of your posts earlier in this thread. How's the privacy on that stuff? Do you need to run through a VPN?

Guide: How To Use Rclone To Mount Cloud Drives And Play Files
A BIG thank you to you, @DZMM! I had heard from various friends that were doing this - but never thought about it until I saw your post. I didn't really get to take FULL advantage of this, as I changed homes and my internet upload speeds were painfully slow. It was fun while it lasted, but Google is known for killing things. They announced at the start of the year that Education accounts were losing unlimited storage, so it was only a matter of time before they came for us. I am slowly repatriating my data back to my array. Anyone else notice that Google's Usage is vastly overstated? My usage showed 60TB used when I started downloading. It's dropped to 30TB now, but my local array only used up 17TB. I ran out and got a bunch of drives thinking I need 60TB free on my array. Maybe I don't

I've only be repatriating my data back to my array. As the deadline for me is 7/10 for it to go into read-only state. Perhaps your account hit that state already? My notices just started about a week ago or so ago, and say 60 days, but the deadline is like 30 days... so it's definitely coming!

I see it now - as soon as I log into my Admin Console, it's right up top. I do have an organization tied to it, but only 1 user. Does your organization have more than 1 user?

Can you share a screenshot of where you see that? I don't see that on my admin console

[Support] devzwf - Pihole Sync
Thanks for your work! Would this be able to sync to piholes where one isn't in a docker? My primary pihole runs as a VM on an ESXi machine. I'd like to sync that to a potential docker container on Unraid (potential because I need to understand how to get them to sync before deploying). Also - does the "disable pihole for x minutes" sync or is it just the lists that are getting synced?

Failing drive: Replace, and Upgrade Parity Drive order of operations - sanity check
I guess it's just misleading in the UI. I just started the array - it prompted me for key.

Failing drive: Replace, and Upgrade Parity Drive order of operations - sanity check
I should add that the unencrypted is occurring on the drive switch. Just double checked to confirm - if I restored the existing drive - the array is encrypted and expects the key.

[SOLVED] unRAID v6.9.2 - Upgrading Cache Pool Drive
Thanks - will try that. I have another thread open with upgrades on the array (parity drive replace, and replace data drive). right after I solve that, will try cache pool

Failing drive: Replace, and Upgrade Parity Drive order of operations - sanity check
Oh NO. I'm stuck! at step three - i noticed the entire array shows unencrypted/unlocked. Replacing the parity drive should NOT have decrypted the array, right?

[SOLVED] unRAID v6.9.2 - Upgrading Cache Pool Drive
Hi JorgeB - I'm about to upgrade my Cache drive (not pool) from 1TB to 2TB ... I'm on 6.9.2 ... is there a different way to do this if just a size upgrade? Should I create a pool, and then follow the process outlined above?
