  1. Hi, I’ve had a disk fail during a rebuild of another disk, system is dual parity and it’s still going but it’s quoting me a month to complete. I have more spare and I’m curious if I can Just cancel the rebuild of the disk in there and pull the broken one and start it back up, will it just rebuild both at the same time? if not whats the best course of action?
  2. Does anyone know is ABBA is the fix for getting pass through working on Ryzen x370 boards with a current bios? Rolled my bios back 18 months and I'm loathed to touch it again but really want to so I can drop a 3900x in it. Should I just suck it and see?
  3. Whats the issue with the icy dock, I've got them and they work like a champ. Even dropped a failed drive and smashed the bracket and icy sent me 4 more of them for free! If they are too hot then you don't have enough exhaust to pull the air through and on top you can just swap the fans for any 3 pin 120mm fan if you dont like the ones which come with it (same with your case, who uses the shitty ones which usually come with it!). Corsair have some nice ones you just lose the neon light (oh no!) All spun up and chugging away: Array of fifteen devices 29.7 C
  4. Happy Birthday unraid. Been using you 5 years and this has taught me more than my actual dead end IT infrastructure job. Highlight was getting a replacement key when my USB broke, within the year window, in no less than 5 mins on a saturday.. I mean cmon that's proper customer service, at work we pay thousands for 4 work hour fixes and you top it all and pull this out of the bag.. the mind boggles. Love your product and a badge of honor would be fantastic and well appreciated.
  5. Looking to buy a Lian Li PC-343B, anyone got one for sale? Ideally UK but could ship
  6. The Antec 1200v3 is 9 years old, I've sent a tweet to Antec asking if they could make a 10 year anniversary edition with all the current mod cons. If anyone fancies retweeting this for visibility I'm hoping they might see it and maybe it might happen. Hoping they can fix the two flaws which weren't a problem 9 years ago.. They need to make it 10mm taller above the back 120mm fans so you can fit an AIO in there without having to brute force the chassis a bit, they also need to make it 30mm deeper as the current 1080ti etc doesnt quite fit when you have the 4in3/5in3 hotswap bays in the front and 30mm-50mm would be ample clearance
  7. Cant you click the plus to add an additional GPU and enable VNC as a secondary GPU on the VM?
  8. The bios has now been released for my board, will give it a bash and report back. I use single GPU, only difference.
  9. Curious to know if the issue affect x570 boards as well, or just x3/470
  10. No guarantee that new hardware isnt affected! I've had an x570 board and 3900x sat in my basket waiting for confirmation that it's all fixed since launch, if it gets to September I'll swap it to an 3950x and wait for confirmation of a full fix. The kernel fixes coming out are only for AMD GPUs and @SpaceInvaderOne suggested that its believed the ABB issues are only for AMD cards, so not sure if anyone is working on a fix for Nvidia
  11. You are running amd gpu or nvidia? Quirk being the gpu Passthrough unknown device header issue?
  12. If you check the log on the vm does it say somthing along the lines of unknown pci header type 127? if so.. 2 possible fixes 1 roll your bios back to one pre AGESA 0.0.0.72 or there was a new bios for your board yesterday which has abb at the end try those. Also just checking you have the bios rom file from tech power up listed in the xml? I’m lead to believe with 2 gpu you don’t need it but i has to put it on mine to get it working so you might too
  13. How’be you applied those fixes to unraid?
  14. Apparently theres a kernel fix which sovles my issue, curious if this is included in 6.7.3-rc1?
  15. Think yours might be a slightly different issue, on the updated bios on my x370 you get 2 errors, device stuck in d2 power or PCI error 127, its a known vfio error but not sure if it affects the x570 stuff or just the patched x370/470 For yours you might find success if you fully exclude the device as a boot parameter, have you tried that yet? On main, click flash and then edit the unraid OS section Add this line in: vfio-pci.ids=10de:1b06,10de:10ef Though thats my 1080ti GPU & sound card, you'll need to use all IDs of the same iommu group, you can get your PCI id for your RTX on tools > system devices page Hope that helps
  16. Can anyone confirm if they have successfully passed a GPU through on any of the new x570 boards with a ryzen 3000? Hoping the bug solely exists on patched 4 or 3 series boards?
  17. Hi, just to confirm, is this the fix for gpu Passthrough on current Ryzen 3 bios where the gpu hangs in a low power state or says pci 127 error?
  18. Has the issue with GPU passthrough been resolved on Ryzen 3000 bios updated boards yet? Waiting to pull the trigger on a new setup but will wait till its been confirmed as resolved, maybe it will be long enough for the 3950x to come out
  19. Wish I’d read this earlier lol, just spent 3 hours trying to figure it out before rolling the bios back. Was hoping to swap my 2700x out so pre updated my bios and boom gpu device stuck in d3, if you force quit the vm and restart you’ll get the pci 127 header issue. for info I’m using ASU’s x370-f, 2700x and 1080ti Hoping to get 3950x either straight swap or mobo upgrade, spose Ive got 2 months to wait anyway, hopefully the kinks will be worked out by then! Like buying the first flying car, not being the first isn’t always a bad idea
  20. On some boots of my unraid system, when I go to start my win10 VM I get the following error, this seems to cause both sound cards (nvidia attached to GPU, or the onboard) to not get passed through with it 2019-04-22T18:57:28.816539Z qemu-system-x86_64: vfio: Cannot reset device 0000:0b:00.3, depends on group 21 which is not owned. Cant seem to see it in the gui anywhere to pass it through too, but not sure how to do it with the XML, any pointers? Slight side note, I also seem to get crappy performance (144fps somtimes, but drops all over down to 60 etc) from my GPU, its a 1080ti and I'm giving it 8 cores matching pairs from my 2700x, but my old setup with a 4690 (4c4t) and a 290x used to hit 144fps stable no problems, what info would you need to help there? iommu.txt
  21. paused my write and its up to 115MB/s, tvm, wasnt expecting such a hit
  22. its perpetually in use, if thats 100% it ill leave it. also I have one of the m1015s in a pcie 3 x4 slot, is that going to be crippling and am i better of using the onboard sata?
  23. Hi I've just replaced a 1TB disk with a 4TB red and its running at only 11MB/s This is the first disk I've swapped since swapping it from an old L5630 to a new ryzen 2700x, using the same two M1015 and would expect it to run at 100MB/s at least. Please could you advise how best to troubleshoot this? nas-diagnostics-20190306-2334.zip
