Updated 0.7.8 conf file for unraid 4.7 attached, pretty easy to do just change the lines referencing the SABnzbd file including MD5 version toward the top and the version at the end. Make sure to follow instructions earlier in thread for upgrading. MOD EDIT: removed older download

saw that post, thanks for the tip. I reduced video memory even though I have 4GB of RAM and checked for firmware updates on the Promise cards, I see no way to get into the promise controller. Yea, I suppose that just because they worked in the old MB doesn't mean they will work in the Supermicro C2SEE may have just gotten lucky before. I tried everything I could find in the forums so I doubt there is anything new, thought I'd ask anyway. What baffles me the most is that the Bios see the hard drives fine, whatever the problem is it's not specific to a flash drive either, it does the same thing with my second flash drive also, unplug the 12th drive and boots fine.

Not sure if my problem is a Bios issue or not, I recently updated my motherboard to a Supermicro C2SEE, problem is that UnRaid refuses to boot with any thing over 11 drives attached. I have tried everything listed in prior posts and still am not able to add anything over 11 hard drives, as soon as 12th hard drive is unplugged system boots. I am using two Promise TX2 133 and one TX2 100 IDE Controller Cards in PCI slots for 10 hard drives and 1 SATA hard drive as parity, these cards worked fine in my old ASRock 4CoreDual-SATA2 mother board with 12 hard drives attached so I expected them to work with the Supermicro C2SEE board. I know the 12th hard drive is recognized by the Bios because I see it listed under boot drives list. The USB is set to FORCED FDD and shows at the top of removable drives. Has any body used these IDE controller cards successfully with the Supermicro C2SEE board with more than 11 hard drives? and if so what were your Bios settings, my settings are below Advanced - USB Configuration ---- USB Functions ENABLED ---- Legacy USB Support AUTO ---- USB 2.0 Controller Mode HISPEED ---- BIOS EHCI Hand-off ENABLED ---- USB Mass Storage Device Contiguration -------- Device #1 USB drive -------- Emulation Type FORCED FDD Boot - Removable Drives (USB is at the top of the list) - Boot Device Priority (USB is at the top of the list) Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Tom replied to my E-Mail, he said that he has not seen that particular error before, but there have been some quality issues with earlier Flash Memory "Dec/05 and earlier" and would over night a new one to me. Thanks Tom

Update OK, So now its starting to look like the flash drive is dead, I get the following message when I plug it into my Windows PC "the disk in drive H is not formated. Do you want to format it now?" I was able to read from it on Saturday and only wanted to remove the fix18 file I copied there. It seems to have been gradually failing rather than all at once as I have had to rather regularly reset the BIOS for the past couple of months after a re start. I sent Tom an E-Mail yesterday, I expect he will reply soon.

After doing a search on the internet I found that the problem could be bad USB Flash drive or ram memory , I have two memory sticks so I tried booting with only one and then only the other, same message. Well I was OK for a while, I was copying files to my server when I got a message like "lost pathname" or something to that effect I then noticed 48 write errors on my parity drive, I captured the log file below. Thanks, I cleared the counters with the utility in the tools menu, and then ran a Parity-Check, 0 Errors listed now, I will monitor to see if any more errors are logged. Rob

The column is labeled Write, it is the farthest column to the right on the web page, see attached

I noticed the other day that I have 1,406 errors listed on my Parity drive on the Home Page. My question is should I replace my parity drive now? or just monitor and replace if I see the drive taken off line? Thanks, Rob
